Great ELIF service! So relaxing and pampering. The hamman was thorough and the foam was a new experience and delightful. My friend and I were in Morocco last year and it ready brought back wonderful memories. read more

I got the sultan cool experience! Skin felt great! But!!! When I was laying in the sauna the steam pipes would randomly go off and I was right below the pipes( where the towel was set up for me. ) the darn thing dripped extremely hot water. Out. So beware or that. Also had to tell the girl to chill on the dead skin remover brush thing. Started actually hurting. But was bearable. Other the. Those two small things. It was great! Felt great , great price! Definitely check it out read more

Stepping into the Moroccan steam spa hammam felt like crossing into another world--one where time slows down, the senses awaken, and every part of you is invited to let go. From the moment I entered, the warm, aromatic steam wrapped around me like a comforting embrace. The savon noir softened my skin while the gentle heat worked its way deep into my muscles. But the real magic happened during the exfoliation with the kessa glove --intense in the best way. You walk out of that room feeling lighter, like you've shed layers you didn't even realize you were carrying. The experience was both grounding and luxurious. Every step felt intentional and tied to something older than any modern spa--something sacred. My skin was glowing , my mind calm, and my body completely renewed. And I have to say--the staff were amazing. Kind, professional, and attentive without ever rushing the experience. They made everything feel personal and peaceful, like I was in good hands from beginning to end. If you've never tried a hammam, do it. It's not just a treatment--it's a ritual for body and soul. read more

The staff was very kind, but I can't believe I just paid $100 for a cold bath that I could've given myself for free. The steam mechanism exploded like a gunshot every five minutes and shot out boiling water on my arms due to poor drainage. The steam wasn't even hot, if that's possible, I was cold the whole time. Save your money, literally spend it on anything else. The fact that the front desk attendant was so kind is the only reason I'm giving it two stars. read more

We booked a couple's hammam and back facial. The space. Is small, intimate, and looks just as it does in the pictures online. It's clean, no smell of mildew, but I think a spa scent or incense-like fragrance would be nice. The workers were professional, but uniforms would really make the experience even more special. The basic hammam service was like nothing I have ever experienced. My body was so relaxed afterward. Unfortunately, my skin was incredibly dry afterward. I wish they spoked moisturizer after the scrub. We were given bottles of water and robes to use. We would have paid extra for tea if that was an option. The back facial was underwhelming. I don't have bacne, but I have eczema. The tech/esty asked about my skin since there was no pus or cysts to extract. AWKWARD! I suppose it's her job, but she had no recommendations outside of what my dermatologist prescribes for exacerbations. I totally plan to go back! Now that I know what to expect, I can prepare in advance and have the experience I want. read more

Wow was this an experience! I came here and did the couples hammam on Saturday. It was a beautiful spa and very relaxing. Let me just start by saying, never have I been exfoliated like that in my life! It was like I emerged a new person. We did the rhasoul. So we received the scrub, clay mask, and then they washed us, and washed our hair. The women were incredibly nice and professional. I think that you need to be prepared for what a hammam is, otherwise it might be slightly uncomfortable for you since you are only in bikini bottoms or underwear the entire time while they scrub and wash your entire body. The only thing that I noticed is that the blankets in the steam room I don't think are changed between guests, but as long as you wash your face after, you'll be fine. I will absolutely be back and I'm so excited to come back! read more

I would suggest not to go on a Sunday., it's a Church next door and it was very loud. Not relaxing at all, I didn't stay for my service, they didn't want to refund my 25.00 deposit.. the young lady told me that Church would be over by 1pm and that I wouldn't hear it in the steam.. well as I waited for my Lyft church was still going well after 1:20. Wasn't my vibe! read more

Pros: -The body is refreshed and the relaxing effect lasts for a couple of days. -The appointment was smooth and they keep their appointment time. -They were not overly friendly but respectful and seemed to take their work seriously. Cons: -The Elif was 60 minutes for $90 which seems to be a bit overpriced. -The temperature in the steam room was set very low and it could get quite cold since you are naked and damp. I recommend you come in during the hot days of summer. -During the service, no explanation was given, so first-timers may feel uneasy without knowing what to expect next. -Shampooing was rather quick and half-completed. If they can improve the above areas, they may see a potential growth in business. read more

Booked a Rhassoul and Argan oil massage. We visited once about a year ago and had an amazing experience. A lot change in a year!!! The service was awful!!! They were out of several supplies, took no care during the Rhassoul splashing water in our face and up our noses. The steam room was cold. We were told the temperature could not be changed. The clay made me itch but nobody knew what was in it. The lady at the desk who also did the service was curt and rude. Even getting an extra towel was like pulling teeth. Then they offered us the option of used shower shoes or lint ridden house shoes pulled out of a random drawer. In comparison to last year, the entire experience was rushed and incomplete. It was so bad I didn't even bother to continue with the massage. I highly recommend you skip this place. They should be shut down. read more

This has been my best, most relaxing experience I've had at a spa! I've had mediocre experiences due to customer service and allergic reactions in the past due to my sensitive skin. But this excelled my expectations of premium customer service and quality skin care products. I was referred by my best friend to come try out this spa since she knows I am into natural, organic herbal scents/aromas and culture. I checked out google and yelp reviews and read all great comments about the hamman turkish bath. I had a 10:30 am appt for a brazilian wax and The Elif package includes: A 60-minute classc hammam A full-body rhassoul, lasting 15 minutes A foam massage, lasting 15 minutes I waited in the lobby area for my service all but 5 minutes because my spa professional was wrapping a convo on the phone with a client. However she acknowledged me, smiled and told me she would be just a few moments. She then walked me over to the changing/relaxation room where she told me how it would work. I would undress then walk into the steam room, lay down on a yoga mat, pillow and foam roller under my knees. I did not feel uncomfortable because as a woman who gets pap smears and brazilian waxes, I mean really how can you? LOL. No but honestly, I think the warmth of Tai's friendly spirit eased any awkwardness that might have been there. It was quite the experience that left me feeling so relaxed. It's a repetition of hot water being poured over your body, back and front, scrubbing with herbal soaps and rosewater mixtures, moroccan volcanic ash sitting on you for 10 minutes then Tai returning to wash it off, my hair being shampooed and head massage and lastly a long wooden stick with Tai blowing into it and big balls of foam covering your body. I don't know how to explain it any better you just have to book an appt and experience this luxury!!! My brazilian was after all of this with me wrapped in a nice oversized terry cloth robe walking to the next room. It was painless and quick and I definitely will be a customer of Tai's from now on. I love Moroccan Steam Spa! Thank you Tai! Sn: Bring a change of clothes and underwear if you get any turkish bath treatment read more

Terrible , disgusting, dirty, rip off, just a total waste of time and your $ I signed for the hammam and up sold to the rhassoul Well I spent $10+ extra. Told I'd get a massage in the different room blah, blah The entire service was to be 60 minutes ... Well. The service ended in 51 minutes. No cookies, no massage room .. I'm wasting my time writing this disgusting review. All people that have had a terrible experience should get our money back. 'Six on Your Side' could put them under. Or the Health Board or both! Well, I left a tip for srubber even though I only got 51 minute and LESS services. I gave the front "guard" $11 to give to her. I went Geter for a birthday celebration for myself and it was a horrible let down. I was lied to about refreshments and what I was actually getting. I paid for the MOST expensive item and left feeling dirty and disgusting. The actual spa area was really nice but I felt moated by the owner and felt as if she was touching me inappropriately and she thought I would enjoy it. Sorry ma'am, I am gay and wanted to puke. There was no music playing while u got the bogus massage and and suds massage. The lady was extremely weird and locked me in the building with her while she molested my body with her weak and soft hands. Please do no come here, unless you enjoy getting your balls and genitalia toyed with. I was utterly shocked and dismayed. Wish I could rate zero but since she was alive, she deserves one. read more

Get zora she is so great at hammam I got the Rhassoul and it was totally different from and scrub or massage I've ever had in any spa, this is like getting a steam, body scrub a bubble bath, massage and full body mask done and she even washed my hair! This place is a must for anyone needing the works you can also book ahead to add a facial treatment wax or longer massage. I'm definitely hooked on hammam. Not for the shy I brought a bathing suit bottom for during the Hammam, lotion and sweats to change into at the end. It's really a unique experience. The body treatment was completely done in a professional manner I felt comfortable the entire time. I will definitely be back to see Zora. Wonderful experience. read more

Moroccan Steam Spa - Massage Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

Sooo...went here with my mom and sister. Was hoping for some cool new steam spa cultural experience...which I guess I got. If you go with a group of 3, they only have room for 2, the 3rd person is waiting for 1.5hrs to be seen. Also, although they have robes hanging up, they didnt offer them...they just tell you to disrobe and then we all hang out...naked. We just grabbed some towels and put them on. There was supposed to be some tea and "treats"...we got bottles of water. The steam room has these 2 steam nozzles and when it turns on it sprays scalding hot water on you because they have you laying under them...my sister and I got little burns. Nothing crazy, just uncomfortable. Because I was the last one...my treatment was definitely shorter, about an hour...my sister got the full 1.5 hrs. Now the lady that scrubbed us...she worked her butt off. We were definitely scrubbed and washed and we all felt exfoliated afterwards. But ultimately we left feeling "meh" about the whole thing. They need to coordinate groups better...and figure out their steamer nozzle situation. read more

Disclosure: my experience was from September 2016. I called to book the Royal Treatment, which consists of a traditional hammam, foam, lunch from a nearby restaurant (I think the choices were a Greek place and Scrambler Marie's), a facial, a mini mani/pedi during the facial, and a massage. The private relaxation room and hammam were the standouts from the experience. The hammam takes place in the steam room, that I wish were hotter and steamier. The hammam experience was good though! The scrub, foam, and shampoo was really nice and my skin felt really soft after. The issue is...everything else in the experience. The facial wasn't great. I don't have problematic skin but the aesthetician was overzealous during the extractions and I ended up with swollen and splotchy skin afterwards. The hand/feet treatment during the facial turned out to be a nail trim and polish. The worst part--absolute worst, was the massage therapist I had. She was lovely, but I am not sure if she's a licensed massage therapist. Her long nails dug into me and, at times, it just felt like my muscles were being pulled. It wasn't a relaxing experience at all. I'd say, go for the hammam. It's worth it and it's a good experience. The cleanliness of the facilities seemed ok but I remember detecting a slight mold/mildew smell in the steam room. But it wasn't noticeable. I'd skip the facial and massage. Giving this a 2-Star because I do want to go back and give it another try. Note: like other reviews have mentioned, I had to call a few times before anyone picked up. Wish scheduling was available online. read more

I have visited Tai and her staff twice now. Both times I did the full day.... FULL DAY FOR ONLY $250! Guys! GO HERE! It is not some big, bright, fancy spa, but it is CLEAN and they are super professional! The Hamman is not for the shy, as you are getting bathed in only your underwear, but they are professional and it is soooooooo worth it! My skin feels amazing when I leave. The full day is a bath, CRAZY GOOD body scrub, essential oil treatment, hair wash, deep clean facial, waxing or mani/pedi, massage... the WORKS! SO GOOD!!! I just found out Tai does microblading for eyebrows, which I paid almost triple for at Columbus Plastic Surgery :/ .... I will be booking for that ASAP! read more

I got a rhassoual( I think i spelled that correctly) and i loved every minute of it! I needed a place to relax and I have always wanted to try a hammam. So i figured this would be a really good experience. First this isn't for the shy and I suggest you bring a swim suit. I was scrubbed head to toe and I'm pretty sure I was glowing afterwards. I also got my eyebrows waxed. honestly i prefer to get them threaded but i really needed them done. I will say that i was not disappointed! I also really liked that she uses chocolate wax. I've never seen that but I loved how it smelled. I was there 2 days ago and my skin is still so soft. I can't wait to go back. read more

We had the best time. Came here with my brother for his bday and the ladies did a phenomenal job

I broke out and had to go to the doctor after my facial. My husbands massage was not up to par at all.

What a weird and wonderful experience! I had been wanting a back facial (which is actually a thing), and after some internet digging, I came across the Moroccan Steam Spa. They list a service called "back magic" on their website, and that's exactly what I wanted. I booked my appointment for the following day and was ready to roll. I am normally a bit of a control freak and need to know expectations before I try something new. This place quickly broke me of that... When I arrived, the lovely Amira welcomed me and led me to a small, personal lounge that was connected to a steam room. She explained everything she was going to do -- and it was much more than the back magic I had signed up for. When I expressed a little concern and confusion, Amira told me to relax and that I was going to love it -- that I was getting a full hammam, which included the back facial. Having no clue what a hammam really was, I shrugged my shoulders and threw caution to the wind. WHY NOT? Now I know what you're thinking: this could have gone weird and creepy super fast, but it wasn't at all! Amira was so warm and kind, she put me at ease. So let me tell you about a hammam. I've used the word "weird" a couple of times, but I want to clarify something: hammams are not weird in other cultures, and I'm not calling these cultures weird. I only mean that they're totally foreign to me (and most Americans). First, you get completely naked and go into the steam room. YES, NAKED. After getting steamed up, the technician comes in and asks you to lie down (your naughty bits being covered). She soaps you up and then uses these amazing scrub gloves to give you the scrubbing of a lifetime. Loads of dead skin sloughing off left and right. Next up is a skin mask, followed by soapy massage. Last, you get the best hair shampooing and then rinsed from head to toe. The best way I can describe it is like a pedicure for your whole body + a massage + a bath. After letting my GAF go, I was in heaven. It was such an intimate experience (hello, somebody is BATHING YOU) but not sexual at all. When I was done, Amira led me back to my personal loungy space, which was perfect. It was dark, lots of candles, comfy seating and pillows everywhere, and a tray of goodies -- OJ, hot tea, water, and cookies. It was such a wonderful way to relax after all that... relaxing. I absolutely loved my experience at Moroccan Steam Spa. If you're looking for a traditional, American spa experience, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING HERE. But If you're open-minded and an adventurer, this place will be right up your alley. It feels like you're in another country -- not a strip mall in Northland. read more

I've been a customer there for more than 4 years. Frankly saying it, I'm addicted. I tried all their services and none was provided less than perfectionist. A traditional hammam is a group steam bath where bathers travel back and forth between a warm steam room, and a very hot steam room, relaxing on benches and ladling water onto themselves when the get too hot, until a scrubber comes to fetch them and exfoliates the bejeezus out of their skin. A quick rinse, a dip in a cold pool, and then bathers exit to lay in a relaxation room and partake in small treats or drinks. I was very curious how Moroccan Steam Spa would be able to get notoriously nude-shy Americans to partake in ritual bathing, and I wasn't disappointed. Rather than a large, shared complex, there is a small, private, changing space/ relaxation room bedecked with cushions and towels, attached to a small, also private, steam bath (if you book a couple's hammam, both parties share the steam room at the same time). You lay on the bench set out for you and relax as the room fluctuates between warm and steamy, and extra hot and steamy. No traveling involved. When you're just about to fall asleep, the proprietress comes in and scrubs the bejeezus out of you until you are smoother than butter on a bald monkey and feel like a newly-molted butterfly. After a wash off, you may relax in the relaxation room with some orange juice until you're ready to change back into normal clothes. I never felt self-conscious, or awkward. Everything was done with a refreshing professional determination to give me an excellent spa experience and get my skin in shape. I spent my entire drive home petting my arm since I am so smooth and clean now. I would recommend this service for: People feeling nostalgic for group bathhouses or saunas (such as those from Japan, Korea, Finland, or Russia) People looking for a new or unique spa experience they have not tried before. Those with very dry skin, ashy or flaky skin, or immediately after winter Someone with Bacne Those who like getting sugar or salt body scrubs, since the sensation is similar, but the results are superior Those who like their spa treatments/massage on the invigorating side I would not recommend this service for: People who dislike or have trouble breathing hot, steamy air, since it's unavoidable in a steam spa. Those who hate being touched People with exceptionally sensitive skin who wouldn't enjoy being scrubbed Those with conditions scrubbing or sweating may exasperate Tips: BIKINI/SPEEDO BOTTOMS ARE REQUIRED, or equivalent. If you do not bring a pair of bottoms, you will leave your underpants on instead. Dark underpants will give you more privacy than white ones, and you will want to bring a spare pair to change into, to avoid a trip home with a soggy bum. Other things which are not required, but you may prefer to bring: A plastic bag to store your wet bottoms in Your hair comb/brush Anything you may need to reapply after a bath, such as deodorant, or a favorite lotion I would recommend showing up for your service with a bare face or bringing a make up wipe to get things off beforehand, or you'll end up with melted panda face. read more

I hate to knock a local business, but this place is not good. For anybody who has experienced traditional hammam before, this will be a little...different. First, the lounge area is hung with dirty robes that I was told are not for guests anyway. The "tea or juice and some bites" equals one plastic bottle of water sitting on the table. The hammam itself is done by an amateur, and it is SHORT. I walked in and waited ten minutes to be greeted, and then the 90 minute treatment I was supposed to receive was 30 minutes long--ten of which were spent waiting in a room the size of a home shower. Nothing horrible happened, but I was not scrubbed well, and it was a total waste of $. read more

In addition to regular spa treatments they also specialize in Moroccan hammam. If you are looking for something a little different this is an amazing experience. My visit was well timed on an early spring day and I felt like I was shedding all my dry winter skin. You are basically washed and scrubbed and rinsed and massaged. Before I went to Columbus 2 months ago, I have searched for a body scrub and this place was the 2nd result. I then came to know that they have Moroccan bath which is something I know and have tried few times. At my 1st visit I have tried a 1 hour massage that was very average then the Moroccan bath done by Tai who is also the manager. The Moroccan bath was just great, a truly unique experience. Tai was very talented and managed to take care of me, she also explained the procedure along the way. Two days later I decided to comeback for The royal full day hammam spa that cost $250 which is a very good deal. I have requested that Tai do the treatment, and she did. Her massage was the best ever. She asked if I have any specific requests before we started and I asked for long strokes with some stretching and she included those along with her magical massage. What made her massage even more relaxing & enjoyable is that the massage bed is heated!. The facial, hand and foot treatments are so nice then I went back to the relaxing room and ordered a very delicious lunch (which is part of the deal). Then she took me to the Steam room and took a very good care of me.
