We each got the classic hash. The sauces on the side were inedible (including the guac). Very greasy hash, mostly potatoes. The service was fine, it's a self-service restaurant, so thumbs up to me! Ambiance is okay, a little hard to converse since it's wide open. All in all it was a mediocre experience and we probably won't be back. read more

Really nice place for breakfast. Food was good, finally a place that can cook crispy bacon. Had the eggs and chocolate chip pancakes as well which were excellent. Coffee was fresh and good- always a must for breakfast. Staff was very nice and helpful. You order up front but a smiling face brings it to your table. It is bright and open inside with tables and booths. Very comfortable and most importantly very clean. I would highly recommend and give them a try. read more

I passed this restaurant for months and finally stopped and decided to drop in for breakfast. Breakfast is a carry out versus dining in the restaurant, and the presentation will reflect that. I reviewed the menu and decided on the omelet that was listed at $13.00. However, when my option was being rung up, the cash register displayed $15.00! I asked the cashier about the discrepancy and pointed out the menu on the wall as well as the paper menus that are presented to the guests, all showing the omelet at $13.00. The omelet included a side dish, and the choices were Grits, Fruit Cup, Potatoes, and something else, which I do not remember. I asked for the grits and and that added an additional $2.00 in charges. I asked about the additional cost, and the cashier said most of the side dishes came with an additional fee. O agreed on the additional cost and reminded the cashier about the discrepancy on the omelet, which he agreed to lower the price. I took a seat in the dining room, which was quite nice and waited for my meal. I checked out the restaurant's website and the old prices are what is listed. Once I received my order, I went home to enjoy my meal. The omelet was terrific and I enjoyed it very much. The grits, however, was mixed with something I could not identify. I believe it was cheese and it had a distinctive taste, not what I was expecting. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and the food. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and the food good. They do need to update their prices and as is the trend these days, upon payment, the register asked for a tip. Either way, I am sure I will return. read more

Honestly this is the best breakfast place I've ever been to. My in-laws family is all vegan, and this place has a huge vegan menu and non vegan menu. The food to high quality and super cheap for the quality you get. If I could leave 6 stars I would. Best breakfast place in town. read more

We stopped in on Father's Day and expected it to be packed, and although it was quite busy, the service was impeccable with kind and friendly staff. Our wait time was incredibly fast -- it felt like we had just sat down and our food was brought to us piping hot and so delicious! I got the Owl Breakfast and the cinnamon butter on blueberry pancakes was decadent, and the iced coffee was perfectly brewed! So much better than any other breakfast/lunch joint we've ever been to! As a local owned business, this place should set the standard for other places for their fast, friendly service, wonderful variety of choices, and welcoming atmosphere! Morning Shift is a great breakfast spot and we're thrilled to have it in our neighborhood! The breakfast potatoes were delicious and there were lots of vegan and gf options. The vegan eggs had a weird texture and the pancakes could have been cooked longer. Still, I really enjoyed my meal. However, the owner (we think she's the owner) hovered near the front door the entire time we were at the restaurant looking for customers and opening the door for people while they were at the end of the block which was a bit off putting. It would have been lovely if she had instead used that time to check in with tables. We will be back regardless! read more

My girlfriend and I tried this place out. They have breakfast and then open back up at 4:30 until 3am. We tried the night shift part. The food was AMAZING. Everything was house made. All the way down to the ranch. The service was top tier. I forgot the assistant manager's name but he took care of us, was very hospitable, and made sure the food got to us quick and fresh.
