Great Breakfast! I had the Spinach Mushroom Omelette with Biscuit with Chorizo Gravy as my side.

French Toast Breakfast with Scrambled Cheese Eggs and Bacon

Really enjoyed this restaurant! Came on a Saturday morning and the restaurant was not too busy. Everyone was very friendly and I was explained the process of ordering at the counter as soon as I opened the door to the restaurant. I ordered the French toast breakfast with scrambled eggs and cheese, and bacon. The French toast was really good! They give you three very large pieces of French toast. Thoroughly enjoyed! The scrambled eggs and cheese were actually pretty good. Could've used a little salt, but otherwise very good. And the bacon comes with two thin strips, not cooked too hard, but good. I ordered my toddler, the kids meal with eggs, bacon, fruit, toast, and apple juice. My daughter enjoyed the fruit and the eggs. Really good portion for the price of the kids meal. I also ordered a vanilla latte. It was really good and only about five dollars. The food came out really quick. There was an employee who checked on us several times to make sure that we didn't need anything else. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back!

"Ron Swanson" breakfast... pricy, but shared with 2 people, so not bad. Oh, and DELICIOUS.

Excellent service, everyone was super friendly. Friday morning at 9:00am, not busy, about 1/4 full. Excellent food, lots of additional condiments items available. Extensive breakfast/lunch menu, reasonable prices (comparable to similar restaurants).

We decided to skip our normal breakfast place to try Morning Shift. We went in a Saturday around 10am and it wasn't busy. The restaurant is a good size, very well lit and clean. We were greeted at the door and were told we could order at the counter and then take a seat or sit first while we decided what we wanted. I ordered the GF banana pancakes with eggs and chicken sausage, my husband ordered the chorizo biscuits and gravy with eggs. We also got orange juice and a coffee. We sat at a 2 seater high top. There is chatter in the restaurant but it's not loud at all. One of the staff workers brought over silverware after we sat and shortly after our juce came out. There is a sink outside of the restrooms which is really convenient and thoughtful for you to wash your hands if you don't need to use the restroom. Our food came out and it presented very well but everything was cold. I thought it was tasty but it was cold. I don't know if I would go back, if I do o would definitely say something about the food temperature. I normally don't like a lot of stuff on my pancakes but the bananas, strawberries with compote and granola weren't to overpowering. But the fruit was cold which didn't help the already cold pancakes. We spent about $45 for the both of us, definitely too much to not be satisfied.

If I had only one word to describe this place it would be "overhyped". The inside has a cute aesthetic, which I appreciate, however the food honestly was just not that good. Everything tasted pretty bland, nothing special. The service was not great, they brought out the food of my party before mine so early that they finished eating before I got my food. AND the waiter brought out the wrong order so they had to completely remake my order.

Brah, get the carnitas hash. What are you even doing with your life?!

Exactly what you need for breakfast on a Saturday brunch when you've banged up and need fast service, but killer food. We will be back...oh yes, will!

    It's Greek to Me Omelette

First time trying really wanted to love it. First bite of potatoes mmmm yummy. Grits were meh not terrible but not the best atleast not grainy. Biggest disappointment with too fluffy Greek omelette. Too much egg and one piece of chicken and like 2 cut up pieces. Would try something different next time but this wasn't it. May be better eating inside and when it's hot hot.

I had a 3 hour break between my classes so I went to check this place out. There are two sides. I walked in on the wrong side and it took me a minute to realize it. The menu is bomb. The service was great. Very friendly staff. The place was clean. The food was delicious. The carnitas burrito is the star of the show. It is full of flavor! The short rib grilled cheese was good too. The soup was tasty. It needed a little salt. I will revisit.

Grits have a unique taste. Not regular grits. Some garlic and other spices I think.

I'll start with we came on a busy Saturday morning. The restaurant is cute and has modern decor. You order at the counter and the hosts will hold a seat for you if you ask. They do bring you the food and check to see if you need anything else. The restaurant is very loud between people and the open kitchen noise. The food was ok. I would say average. I tried the gluten free banana pancakes and they were pretty good. I'm used to the texture of gf bread. They add banana, strawberry and granola on top which helps with that gf taste (iykyk) It's quite pricey.. $34 for a meal and 2 coffees. Add on the tip that you pay before you even get served and we were in for a $40 average breakfast. This is becoming quite the norm for many places. We may return if in the area, but we actually prefer First Watch.

When I looked at the menu, I was hoping to find a new breakfast place. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the girl who takes your order didn't even say "good morning" or look at your face when taking your order. The food was tasteless and cold; the potatoes seemed boiled and colorless; the omelet was tasteless with a chunk of bacon left over. Very unpleasant, and overpriced for the service and quality of the food.

    Carnitas hash with fried egg
    Genevieve G.

My wife enjoyed her Carnitas hash, added fried egg. Although she did say it wasn't balanced properly. Too much meat and not enough of the rest of the items. I got the plant-based breakfast. Instead of toast I got a grilled cheese. It was yummy, very simple. I would come back, maybe. I do appreciate that they have vegan options. With one soda it was about $36. A little pricey I think. But 4 stars for the vegan options, friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the restaurant

Avocado toast & dressed greens. Great ratio of avocado and toast.

Food was good, service not so much! Upon walking in there's a menu on the wall, you order and sit down. We were greeted as we walked in, ordering was easy, get a number and have a seat. Beverages are self service. But we were never given cups, when asked for them they were trying to charge me again. Food came out pretty quick, food looked delicious, nice size portions & tasted good until we got to the breakfast potatoes which were cold and than pulling out a long black hair from the omelet was the end of the meal. Ambience was comfortable, nice spacing in tables, kinda too cold for us. - bring in a sweater if going.

The place was hopping with both dine-in and take-out orders, but there was an employee hustling to clean the tables on this Friday about 1PM. I managed to find a clean table and filled my cup while waiting (they have a Pepsi fountain machine). To sample a couple of different sandwiches I got a small Chicken Chipotle Crunch and small Grilled Italian with a side of fries. I should have gone with mini as small is quite generous and filling (see pictures). I liked the fried onions in the Chicken Chipoltle Crunch and most of the favor came from the sauce. The tomatoes on both sandwiches were a bit too pale and tasted watery. The Grilled Italian was definitely the more flavorful of the two with great seasoning on the meats. The bread was nice and soft. The side of fries were of the coated variety and were fresh, hot, and crisp with the breading having a great seasoning. All the hard surfaces and glass windows made for quite the echo chamber, and even with half the tables occupied the noise level was quite considerable. There is a variety of seating with bar, booth, and table (different sizes).

It wasn't very clean and barely any customers inside - mostly online orders Took about 20 mins for 3 sandwiches & large Philly cheesesteak fries The fries was such a tiny portion for the price, like half the box was filled & the meat was tough & dry The pastrami sandwich was really good though. The wagyu cheese steak was meh in my opinion, meat didn't really taste like wagyu But 3 sandwiches & fries $60ish seemed like a lot for the quality / quantity There's plenty of parking in the shared lot

This would reduce my commute to Roy's out in Smyrna and put them within five minutes of my office every Thursday. So yesterday, I headed over to Street Food Thursday and got in line. The first thing I noticed about Roy's was that the customer queue was longer than that of all of the competing food trucks. I thought to myself, "This is a good sign - they're already popular." This turned out to be an illusion of sorts. After hopping in line, I came to realization that the reason for the long line wasn't that more customers were being served, but rather that the line was slow moving. I watched as others walked up to other surrounding trucks and walked away with their food in minutes flat. I thought to myself again, "Well the only reason the line is slow moving is because they cook to order." Fresh food is good food, right? Wrong. When I unwrapped the sandwich, I realized it was completely tepid. I took a bite. My teeth took temporary pause at completely unmelted cheese (see photo). This unmelted cheese gave way (with much resistance) to some of the most flavorless steak I've ever had. Completely unseasoned. While the bread and onions were quite good, the sandwich was an utter disappointment. Was this the result of a cheesesteak never being able to live up to my heady expectations? I unwrapped my second one (yes, I got two). It was just as bad as the first. Roy, if you're reading this, get some quality control on your truck. There's really no excuse for unseasoned meat and completely unmelted cheese.
