Unfortunately, when I went to order, I was told they were out of rice and not serving it. Very disappointing. I decided to try the 10-piece lemon pepper wings instead and specifically asked for all flats. The order taker said it could be done. However, when my food came out, the wings were mixed. My husband spoke with who I assume was the owner, and she explained that they don't typically sell all flats because it leaves them with too many drums--which is understandable. However, that should have been communicated upfront, as I likely would have ordered something else or chosen to go elsewhere. The dining area also took away from the experience. The tables were filthy, and we had to ask for ours to be cleaned before we could even sit down. To make matters worse, most of the fountain drinks were out. I settled for fruit punch, which unfortunately wasn't good. My husband and son received their meals, and overall, the food was just average at best. Between the unavailable menu items, miscommunication, cleanliness issues, and overall quality, this experience fell short of expectations. We will not be returning.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying quad cities style pizza in the Midwest including in the Quad Cities so I had something to compare Generations to and I must say they hit the nail on the head. The crust is on the chewier side with a slight malt sweetness. The toppings completely covered the pizza which I loved. There wasn't a single bite you didn't get toppings. As a cheese lover I appreciated the overwhelming amount of cheese that smothered the pizza. I ordered these pizzas for takeout. I arrived around 2:00pm on a Saturday. The space is separated into a dining room and kitchen/bar area. I was greeted promptly and given a menu. The gal behind the bar was very nice and engaging. I would love to go back to hang out at the bar and have a beer with my pizza. It had a great home town feel. I've been wanting to try Generations for a while and I am glad I finally made it in. I also visited the next day and gave them a second try. On my first visit I got a friendly greeting and placed an order for the double version of their House Smash Burger. Since they were parked in a gas station parking lot, and didn't have any soda offerings that I liked, I popped into the station and grabbed my favorite. By the time I'd paid my burger was ready. It was fresh and hot (so hot that I had to wait a bit so I could hold it to eat, LOL). The bun evidenced toasting and was nice and soft and large enough to sandwich the large patties with excellent crusting. Their special smash sauce is like a creamy Italian dressing and there was lots of it, giving it a tang. The lettuce was shredded, making it a bit messy, especially with so much sauce so be sure and avail yourself of the roll of paper towels they provide (however, not available on my visit on the next day). Also the pickles they use have a distinct clove taste, so I wasn't a fan of the flavor combination. On my second visit I got the same burger with just cheese and found it much more enjoyable. Even when scaled down it's still a generously sized burger. Across my visits I had both the fries and tots as a side. Both were very generous portions and nicely crispy and also served piping hot. Of the two the fries were my favorite. They were coated and had a nice seasoning. If I were at a festival where food trucks were the only option, I'd definitely favor this option as the food was pretty good, the portions generous, and it's fairly priced.

We were the only car in the drive thru and it took just over 10 minutes from order to hand off. Our boxes had holes in them like they were sitting on a burner. The bread was not toasted. I didn't get coleslaw in my box, but they did put in an extra Guthrie's sauce in place of it. Anyhow, at over $10 per box, our orders were very disappointing.
