I usually go to the sister restaurant, masa sushi, and finally decided to stop by at Mori to give it a try. We had the AYCE menu, with a variety of hot foods and fish. We were here for a late lunch, so the place was fairly empty and service was quick. The sushi and sashimi was fresh and what you would expect for AYCE quality. The hot food was mediocre, the shumai had some funny filling in it and the shrimp tempura wasn't even hot when it came out. Masa definitely wins in this section. Service was quick, and we did get everything we ordered. Not bad for an AYCE, but I do prefer the sister restaurant Masa

Work team lunch, I ordered the Tonkatsu, others ordered the all you cat eat lunch (sorry no pix of that). My Tonkatsu was crispy but a bit bland although the sauce made up for it. I also got a side salad prior which was tasty. The other coworkers did nearly eat all of what they ordered, mostly sushi / sashimi / rolls. Overall, we did come away satisfied but have to knock a star with my pork dish being bland, coworker thought hers was a little chewy.

There is a large variety of sushi and appetizers (similar variety to other ayce sushi). There is also no limit on sashimi, but I didn't like the quality of the fish. Every time I got another order of sashimi, the fish kept getting colder (like they just pulled it out of the freezer and didn't have time to defrost it). I understand that a lot of sushi places freeze or refrigerate their fish but having cold and/or icy fish is not really appetizing. Service was quite slow - there weren't too many people when I went but the waiter kept missing my table and it took me a long time to flag down the staff. Regardless, I was definitely full after my meal because I ate lots of sushi and other appetizers!

Love this Sushi establishment, they offer so many varieties as well as you can eat as well. The staff is very friendly and very nice quiet atmosphere. I always look forward to going and meeting my friends there for dinner. My favorite are the Ninja, Godzilla, spicy tin & salmon rolls. All item are made on demand and nothing but a fresh & great experience.

Mori Sushi leaves a lot to be desired and could use vast improvements around their service. FOOD You can opt for the à la carte menu or their all you can eat. It seems like most people who come here or go for the all-you-can-eat option. We did prefer the a la carte menu and ordered a few lunch specials, including their lunch boxes and rolls. Overall, the food quality is just OK. The food is reasonably priced for what you are getting. Btw, this isn't the most environmentally friendly place to eat at. You eat out of takeout containers which reminds me like I was eating at a street fair. Their dishes, cups, utensils are all disposable. SERVICE Well I get that some restaurants are short staffed right now, the whole experience was a bit odd. When we walked in, we were seated right away, but we were given ONE set of menus for a party of four. There was no QR code to scan so that took some time to look at. Also, when they served our main entrees, only half of our party got their dishes. By the time half of our party finished eating, the other entrées had not even come out (and probably 30 min passed by). The service was not great. Our two waiters that were attending to over dozens of tables looked overwhelmed and we had to flag them down several times to see where the rest of our entrees were. Overall, I'd say skip this one until they fix their staffing shortages and improve the ambience with less disposable goods.

TLDR: good priced lunch special with hit-or-miss rolls. I'll continue getting the special if the price stays the same. I ordered the three roll lunch special with miso soup and got the shrimp tempura, salmon avocado, and spicy tuna rolls. The salmon avocado and spicy tuna rolls had pretty good quality fish and were enjoyable. The shrimp tempura roll was over-sauced and fell apart. I get the 3 roll special pretty frequently and the fish has always been good quality, and each roll has a good balance of ingredients and rice. The quality of the other ingredients is not so consistent. Rice is sometimes over cooked, rolls occasionally have too much sauce, avocados are overripe now and then, etc. I keep going back because things are great for the price more often than not, and even when they're not great they're still enjoyable.

Food - 5 stars, restaurant - 0 stars.. it's not a restaurant! When you walk in, someone brings you to a table with no menus only the QR scanner. Which is fine, many restaurants have switched to those types of menus during COVID. However what I didn't realize was that it meant there would be absolutely ZERO wait service. My fiancé thought we were going out to a nice dinner to celebrate a promotion last night, but we basically had take out! You order through your phone, pay ahead, and then someone brings you waters and the food all on paper plates/paper cups. The only thing not on paper was our sushi, because we ordered 6 rolls to share. What if I wanted a side of Mayo? A coke? Extra chopsticks? No one checks on you, no one comes over to ask if you need anything. If you wanted to get dessert or an extra appetizer, you need to begin a new online order and go through the whole process of paying again. It was very uncomfortable, definitely didn't feel like a restaurant, and I don't think we will be back. We will consider doing take out , because the quality of the fish was great and it was reasonably priced.

Some of the sushi ordered: salmon sashimi, red clams, eel cucumber rolls, spider rolls, rainbow rolls, yellowtail rolls, etc, and edamame.

FOOD POISONING FROM MORI SUSHI I'm only giving 1 star because it won't allow me to post without selecting star rating. So here's the one star that I was FORCED to give. We're having dinner at Mori Sushi, all you can eat on Tuesday night 5.28.2024 for my son's 10th bday. Cooked food seemed to be pretty tasty and decent. When the sashimi and sushi came, presentation was ok, but much of the raw fish tasted and looked a bit dull and not fresh. About 45 minutes into eating, my husband started to have stomachache and needed to use the restroom a couple of times. He stopped eating and needed to get some fresh air after the runs. We ordered a good variety of salmon, tuna, white fish, yellowtail, rainbow rolls, dragon rolls, spicy tuna, spider rolls, California rolls, etc. I thought the taste of the sushi and sashimi were mediocre with an aftertaste. About 30 minutes after my husband left, my kids and I started to feel the stomachaches. I thought it can't be such a coincidence, must be the raw fish tasted bad and most likely spoiled. I called the waiter to let him know that I believe the fish served were not fresh and mostly bad, causing all of us to have stomachache. Waiter came back with our bill and charged us price as usual. I told another waiter that maybe the manager/owner that the fish tasted not fresh and maybe bad, he just said "oh ok". Not that I was looking for any discount, perhaps the waiters and/or manager there were poor English speakers or just don't know how to talk to unhappy customers, I felt uncomfortable with their attitude. In the evening, my kids were vomiting A LOT, more than a pint of vomit each and had been having the runs every 30 minutes to an hour, more than 10 times day 1. They had fevers and chills and feeling very weak with the excessive diarrhea and vomiting. I took some vomit specimens from my son and daughter immediately freeze them. I also called the restaurant to advise that my family had dinner there and now caught food poisoning thanks to them serving spoiled food. The person said oh ok, you sure? I told him to please double check their fish and other inventory to make sure not to serve bad fish to customers. I'm contemplating whether or not I should take further actions on this terrible incident, causing my family and I days of food poisoning pains and suffering. I'm considering taking the specimens to run the lab. At the end, all we want is to spread awareness and hope the restaurant owner and staff be more responsible in the food they serve.

Good spot for family meals, semi casual dates, and for your basic sushi needs. Lunch special is a pretty good deal. Nothing crazy about this place but they're always friendly and I always come when I crave sushi. $14 for any 3 rolls including all of the regular rolls. Comes with soup or salad too. I love the salad dressing they use. They have other options too for a lunch special. Sushi is solid for what you're paying. The regular rolls are pretty no frills and exactly what you expect. Going here for lunch always hits the spot when I'm craving sushi!

We stopped in for a late lunch today (230 PM). Food was very good and fresh. Service was good too but I didn't realize we had to order everything before 3PM or we would be charged the dinner price. We definitely over ordered and overate. I will definitely be coming back but definitely earlier.

I really really don't like to make a negative review but this was a horrible experience. I made an order for two items for pick up. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Waited an hour. Came home and found out that the curry chicken dish was missing. Annoying but ok. I call them and the person who answered denied messing up the order and asks me to recheck the bag. He was rude and accusatory. I'm not going to argue over a missing entree but I am very disappointed in the service. Also here is the salad. Hm

This place is small and intimate with only 8 sushi bar seats and 8 table seats. A great vibe and ambiance to watch your sushi chef expertly prepare your meal. Unfortunately, a couple decided to bring their small children that were talking very loudly and had occasional screams. There is a place and time to bring your kids dining and fine dining isn't one of them. Our favorite appetizer was the chanwanmushi! They packed so much umami into such a small dish and the texture of the egg was like silken tofu. My husbands favorite piece of nigiri was the otoro as the tuna was so fatty and just melted in your mouth. Mine was the uni spoon which was a small dish of uni, ikura, caviar, and rice. The hand rolls were a highlight too! After the 6 courses are done you're able to order ala carte and I'm so glad I got an ikura hand roll. Service is impeccable and everyone was very kind and thoughtful. Overall a great experience and an omakase spot we would come back to.

Best Soufflé Pancakes ever!…read more Now that I've actually been to Japan I can honestly say I crave these pancakes more than the ones I had overseas! These pancakes are more fluffier and eggier (I think that's a legit word, LOL), and super rich! If you don't like eggs, don't visit because there is a lot of eggy flavor. I've tried the two dominant flavors, Matcha and Strawberry, and I can't tell which one I like better. The light cream topping is better than any butter or maple syrup I've ever had. There is usually one more flavor that they change from time to time as well which I've heard is great. Going on the weekday avoids the wait. J S Foodies is the latter, a small and cheerful outpost of Tokyo imagination where breakfast behaves like theater. I arrived with my boys and my father in law, a man celebrating another year of survival in a universe that has not yet figured out how to improve pancakes. The space is small, and the famous Kiseki pancakes take their time, about twenty to thirty minutes, as if they are being persuaded into existence rather than cooked. These Kiseki pancakes are not pancakes in the American sense. They are soufflé style creations, tall and trembling, as if gravity is only a suggestion. They arrive airy and delicate, with a gentle jiggle that suggests optimism. We ordered accordingly. I had the lemon ricotta, which tasted like sunlight had been filtered through dairy. My oldest chose matcha, green, purple and quietly sophisticated and complex. My youngest went with the original maple, a classic executed so well it made the classics feel new again. All were excellent, the sort of food that makes conversation pause because mouths are busy being grateful. My father in law ordered what I personally considered a cautious breakfast. Regular pancakes with eggs and bacon. A meal that could have been assembled in any roadside diner between here and forever. Yet even this was handled with care. The eggs were perfect, the bacon honest, the pancakes dignified. No irony, no shortcuts. Yes, the prices are a little steep. But this is not a place for routine nourishment. This is a place for occasions, for birthdays, for reminding yourself that breakfast can aspire to something like art. Five stars, because sometimes the world surprises you by getting something exactly right.
