We recently dined here for dinner. The atmosphere and restrooms were clean. There is plenty space to dine in. I highly recommend the pan fried dumplings, the chicken teriyaki bowl, oceans 13 roll, and the sex and the city roll. Next time, we want to try the cosmopolitan roll and the kiss of fire roll. A side note, the only downside is they don't have a full bar, only beer, wine, and sake. We will definitely be returning for the food. This has become our new favorite sushi spot. read more

Mori House opened their doors in Suwanee back in 2003 and by the packed out restaurant every time I've dined here it looks to be a fan favorite of many in the area. They serve a long list of sushi rolls along with other Japanese dishes and noodles. Love the recent renovations that were made at Mori House. The interior style now is modern yet warm. I like the new style, decor, and layout a lot. They now have a private room available which is nice for a group gathering. Service, food, and price point are still great! Even though this place gets packed and busy, the servers are attentive and ordered plates come out in a timely manner. Mori House serves up everything from sushi rolls to udon/ramen to hibachi plates. There is truly something for everyone here. The menu is pretty extensive here and we've enjoyed all the dishes, sushi rolls, nigiri, and bowls of udon and ramen. The fish is always fresh and presentation in the dishes are pleasing to the eye. The sushi chefs behind the sushi bar have a strong attention to detail. Looking forward to my next visit! Always appreciate the warm welcome and service as well as the good food. One of my favorite places for sushi. It's always well prepared and taste great here. The staff is always helpful and the service is always timely and prompt. There is another sushi place about a 100 yd away from this, and when I get to choice, I basic, I always take Mori House 1st!! I never come this way, but after our intended destination wasn't open for another hour, I searched my bookmarks and found this place. It was not far from either one of us, so my friend and I decided to check it out. It's a really cute sushi restaurant. I really liked the ambiance here. Service was good as well, and I loved the crushed ice in the water versus the typical cubes. They do serve beer, wine, and sake, but tonight we decided to stick with water. Their menu is quite extensive. The list of rolls was really impressive. And they even have hand rolls, which I really like. You can order ala carte or they even have omakaze style as well. We decided to start with a green salad, which is their name for their ginger salad. The greens were fresh, and the ginger dressing was really good. We also split a seaweed salad, which if you've ever ordered in a restaurant, typically comes out in a small portion. This serving was the largest I've seen given for this type of salad, so that was a plus! It also tasted really fresh. For dinner, we decided on sushi rolls. My friend chose the spicy tuna, and I chose the Atomic roll. Oddly, they both came out without any side of ginger or wasabi. Not sure if that was an inadvertent error, or how they are served. Anyway, we requested both, and I got my wasabi. The Atomic roll was seriously so good. It had eel sauce on top along with spicy mayo, with a seared salmon and avocado, and some other goodness. We liked it so much we ordered another one. The spicy tuna was not my fav. First of all, it tasted warm, and that wasn't what my mouth was expecting. Secondly, I felt like it had an odd taste to it, like cream cheese, but there wasn't any supposedly in there. Anyway, I didn't have but one of them, so I didn't try again to discern what was actually in there making it taste weird. My friend however, liked it, and had no problems polishing it off. There are a bunch more rolls I want to check out next time. I'm really excited to have found this place, because I thought that overall, it was great as far as service, food, and charm. Above average sushi! My family and I were looking for a good sushi place while in Atlanta and decided to try this spot based off of the reviews. It was pretty busy but we waited less than 5 minutes for our table. The ambience could be romantic but it was pretty loud inside. I was getting PF Chang's vibes. Our waitress was nice and checked on us frequently. We started with edamame, shrimp fries (shrimp wrapped in potato "shoe string" and fried), and takoyaki. All of it was good and tasted as it should. We ordered a teriyakidon for my little one and 3 rolls to be shared b/w my husband and myself. We got the tropical roll, moshimoshi roll, and hurricane roll. I liked the moshimoshi roll the best but all of them were tasty and filling. My only complaint about the sushi has to do with the amount of panko (breadcrumbs) they sprinkle over some of the rolls. Overkill and unnecessary. The sushi will taste just as delicious without it. The only complaint about my daughters teriyaki was that it need more sauce/seasoning. Since it lacked sauce/seasoning, the chicken was bland. Overall, we were satisfied with the food but won't be back because our go to/favorite Japanese restaurant in ATL is Shoya AND the price of some food items (for ex: teriyakidon) isn't worth what the serve to you :/ read more

This is my second review of Mori House, with about a year in between. After some more visits I still give it 3 stars. Mori house has great, fresh sushi. Their menu is great, with a variety of non-sushi menu items - everything from ramen to takoyaki. They have Galbi too. The food is fresh and always tastes good, but in each instance I wouldn't say any dish is my favorite local option for that dish. Mori house has an upscale date night feel, but I don't find the service to be very good, especially at this price point. Our family loves to go out for sushi, it's my 10 year old's favorite food. So, we have a lot of experience with different establishments. A great date night restaurant, this isn't a comfortable place for children (according to my child). In fact, I would go so far as to say "don't take your kids here" because I feel the service suffered on the occasions that we did. Our son is well behaved and loves sushi (he does not need a kids menu, which is good since there isn't one), but he was not made to feel welcome. All in all, I will return when someone else invites me to join them there, but this is still not going to be a part of my usual rotation for dining out - especially if I'm bringing my son. read more

One of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to in Suwanee! This place offers a variety of Japanese dishes such as sushi, udon, ramen, soba, and a lot of appetizers. Everything was so good but I highly recommend the Rock Shrimp to start of with. It's incredibly creamy and tastes so good! It's not super filling but as a starter it's great. The Tsukemen Ramen and Tempura Udon were also good but I think I preferred the sushi more, although I forgot which one we got. I will definitely come back to order again~ read more

What a delightful find in the 'burbs. Mori House was greatly recommended by a couple of our friends. It's located in a little strip plaza right after the CVS, Peachtree Suwanee Shoppes, with two entrances into the plaza, in case you missed the first one like we did. We arrived promptly after they opened for dinner service, as we heard it gets packed - and it sure did! A crowd started trailing in after we were seated. To start, we ordered a bottle of sake to share. For our mains, we ordered the Sushi Nigiri Deluxe, Sashimi Deluxe, and an Uni Handroll - as my appetizer. Overall, from the service, presentation, and quality was stupendous. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and finished everything. The server told us 2 or 3 times, "the food will be right out" For $35 I would have thought the sashimi would be a lot better. It was ok. The bagel roll was decent. The lava rolls is freaking amazing though. I do echo another reviewers sentiments that there's no personal touch to the service. The service wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.
