Service was nice, quick, attentive. Place was clean. The sushi was really good! Everything I ordered was fresh. I enjoy MoRi House very much. Will definitely be returning.

Gohan Bowl (toro, ikura, Uni, gold flakes

Very cute place! The service here is always exceptional! Hands down one of my wife's favorite place for sushi (after Kani House) but Mori House also never fails. We always get the big bottle of cold sake and order all of our favorites like the Gohan Bowl, Crispy rice with spicy tuna or Wagyu, toro tartare and more!! The menu here is great and has something for everybody.

Suwanee roll with jalapeños and Kiss of Fire roll, both spicy!

Great sushi bar! The wide variety of rolls is great and unique and the omakase was great too!

A solid Japanese restaurant!! I came at 6:30pm on a weekday night and practically got the last table because it was full! That was surprising for me to see since I don't normally see restaurants busy on weekday nights. There is a large selection of sushi and my friends enjoyed their dishes as well. I ordered the tempura udon, which came with 5 pieces of tempera as well as bok choy, etc. Good portions and good ambiance, nothing to complain about!

Otoro nigiri ($12.50 each)

We went for a weekday lunch and it was already a pretty full house despite only being open ~30 minutes by the time we came. - Lunch sets come with miso soup (tasted pretty standard) and salad (dressing is on the watery side, was just meh overall). - Hot green tea is free, but you'll need to ask for it. Tasted very watered down compared to other Japanese restaurants -Chirashi don- $22. This is huge. Fish is pretty fresh. Sushi rice is decently flavored. Overall I probably prefer Circle Sushi's chirashi don though. - Otoro (fatty tuna) nigiri- $12.50 a piece ($25 for two), which is a bit more expensive compared to other places in Atlanta. It was decent. I prefer Shoya Izayaka's, which is $22 for 2 pieces - Bento Misoyaki- $18. This comes with black cod (really good, but on the smaller size), two pieces of croquette, 4 pieces California roll, ginger salad, and rice. Overall a pretty decent deal. I'd be interested in coming back to try dinner menu items sometime.

This past weekend was our 1st visit to Mori House. It's a small but very cozy feel, more like a mom & pop sushi place. Which we love. They do not have kids menu so we ordered tonkosu soup, Tori Karaage fried chicken. The kids loved it. We also ordered salmon carpaccio, Hamachi Serrano which is a must try. Scallop with uni, Uni, fatty tuna churro was so fresh sweet and buttery is what you want the Uni to be. Over all I would come back and recommend this hidden gem to friends.

Fooood here was so amazing!!! I would definitely say Mori House is the best authentic Japanese sushi place here in Gwinnett County. I recommend you to make reservations coming here with a large party as they get super busy and the place is small. Overall, if I could this restaurant deserves 10 stars.

I think this was the Kiss of Fire roll

This is a great spot for sushi! That's all we went for so I cannot comment on their other menu items, but I can tell you the fish is fresh. We went on a Friday at lunch and sat at the sushi bar. The ladies who waited on us were extremely nice and definitely want to make your experience a good one. Two of our party ordered a large hot sake to split and it arrived in a very neat way. The carafe of sake was placed inside another bowl that had hot water, so it stayed hot. Very smart. I was a little disappointed that they did not have sake cocktails as I'm not very fond of straight sake, but it was fine..I ordered a glass of Riesling instead. We ordered many rolls and nigiri which I won't render all of them, but here's a few: salmon and octopus nigiri (sushi. You order by the piece, unlike some places that if you order one salmon sushi, it automatically comes with two pieces), Kiss of Fire roll, Yummy roll, Crazy roll, spicy scallop hand rolls, Uemo roll, and Red Carpet roll. I think there were one out two more, but I don't remember what they were. Everything was delicious and fresh. The only one I probably wouldn't order again was the Yummy roll. It had very small pieces of fish and a lot of rice and it was fried, so it was kind of tasteless. But I don't mind having one like that...and I'm sure someone else will love it. I'm going to post pictures, but I probably won't remember which is which. Haha.

Mori house is one of two sushi restaurants continently located off the super busy PIB, and is definitely one that should be tried for all sushi fans. They have lots of options on the menu so it's a little overwhelming choosing which rolls you want, but regardless of your decision, all of the rolls taste great and the fish is extremely fresh. I ordered the Ichiban, Tokyo, Long Island, and a sashimi assortment to share with 2 others. The total came out to around $75, which is pretty standard pricing for sushi. The star of the show was 100% the sashimi; with nothing else in the way, you could tell just how fresh the fish was, even after the 20 minute trek back home to eat. I can't wait to come back again when dine in resumes to get the full experience!

Takoyaki was good. Rolls are not bad. Chirashi was fantastic and fresh the first time i ordered it and not as good the second time but still above average!

It was ok for my first time. Soup was amazing but sadly the fried rice was a little to grease for my taste.

Aji-Katsu Japanese Tonkatsu & Ramen

Aji Katsu in Suwanee, GA Japanese Tonkatsu & Ramen Spot…read more I am just not a big fan of the sweet flavor in Japanese cuisine. Aji Katsu does have some similar flavors in Japan. Shrimp Curry Udon - Classic Japanese curry: slightly sweet, super rich, and bold. Sauce coats every udon perfectly. Shrimp tempura a bit over-fried, slightly chewy, but tonkatsu-style breadcrumbs gave it a nice crunch. 8.5/10 Yakisoba - Generous portion for the price! Sauce has that tangy, fruity flavor I remember from Tokyo. Beef lightly seasoned. Personally, tangy noodles aren't my favorite, but Tokyo street-style lovers will enjoy. 8/10 Hibachi (Hambāgu) - Grilled Japanese hamburger steak, fried rice, sautéed veggies. Meat tender, veggies had a hint of truffle seasoning. Sweet teriyaki glaze not my favorite. 7/10 Bingsu - Red beans + condensed milk. Small size perfect for 2. Sweet, creamy, refreshing. 9/10

Initially, entering the store was a bit off. The hostess didn't speak to me for about two minutes; she'd made the assumption I was with another party getting a pick up order. But after that was resolved, I was seated quickly. The store layout was nice; big booths with tall sides for privacy. I'm not sure if I liked how all their chopsticks were in a container you pulled from the table but overall a small detail. I did really like getting ice cold water and the metal carafe they provided kept the ice out of the drink. I went for their Aji Ramen and got the $10 3 handroll add on. My choices were unagi, toro, and spicy tuna. Shockingly they didn't have any spicy tuna do I chose a salmon instead. The hand rolls came out first and a pair of scissors were also provided if I wanted to cut them myself. Here are my thoughts: Toro - surprisingly bland. There wasn't the feeling of rich fatness that I expect with it though to be fair I am comparing this to a far higher end omakase experience. Needless to say, I wouldn't chose this again. Salmon - surprisingly good. This ended up being my favorite of the three. The salmon was nice and fresh and the soy sauce and wasabi made for tasty savor bites. Unagi - also good. I'm a sucker for eel. Because of the ponzu sauce, there's no need for soy sauce. I made a mistake of dipping a piece that I cut from the handroll and it was way too salty. Eaten as is, it was just what I expected Aji Ramen - a solid bowl of ramen. I was very pleased with the full egg and also the chashu pork. I don't know if I recall the bean sprouts but at $14, this was kind of a steal in terms of bang for buck. Plenty of food even by itself. All in all, I liked Aji-Katsu. I don't think I'd travel for it but if I was in the area and in the mood I would stop in again.

Yumee Katsu is a modern-style katsu spot, and overall, the food is tasty even though I've definitely enjoyed some dishes more than others. My go-to order is the Assorted Katsu meal, and it's a winner for variety, flavor, and portion size. You get a couple of pieces of shrimp tempura, fish katsu, and pork & cheese katsu, plus the option to add a small side of udon or soba noodles. The fish katsu is light and flavorful, and the pork with cheese is a full-on cheese pull party. I also really enjoy their salad dressing and the dipping sauces that come with the donkatsu and fish katsu- they add a lot to the meal. The ambiance has a nice, modern vibe, and the service has always been friendly and welcoming. A small but thoughtful touch: they offer Asian candies for guests, which is a fun little refresher after your meal. Overall, Yumee Katsu is a great spot in Suwanee if you're in the mood for well-executed katsu in a cool, comfortable setting. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

But nope, this place holds up to all the great reviews I heard and saw. We ordered the beef udon and their mixed katsu option with pork tender and cheese. Everything was delicious! Perfectly cooked and flavored. I am normally not a cheese katsu person, but it was good! Not too much cheese that overpowers the whole taste. Udon was great too and was the perfect combination with the katsu. Portions seemed smaller, more like what you'd get in Korea, which was perfect for me but others could need more food. Service was a bit lacking. There was only one male server even on a busy weekend lunch. A lady came out to help, but you still had to wait a while to get their attention. They had other workers there, but most seemed to have been in the kitchen setting up the trays. Hopefully they'll be able to improve that because otherwise I'd definitely visit again!
