When my younger son went to put on his pants an hour before the wedding, they were 10 inches too short. We looked at the tag- they had crossed out the correct size (the size he was fitted in person for a month ago), and changed it to a length 10 inches shorter. The pants came up to his knees. I ended up at Nordstroms 10 minutes before the wedding buying him new black pants. When I returned the tuxedos, I explained what happened, and the sales clerk was very nice and apologetic. He told me he would talk to his manager and they would call me back. After not getting a call back for 48 hours I called again. The manager said it was my fault for not trying them on, that I had signed a waiver, and therefore she would only refund me $30 (I paid over $200 each- $413 total for rental tuxedos for 2 kids). The $30 didn't even cover the cost of the pants I had to buy him in an emergency. I acknowledge that I signed the waiver and should have had my son try them on, but my 10 year old couldn't miss school to go to a second fitting. I assumed if the length was off, it would be by an inch or two, which was a risk I was willing to take. I didn't expect that Classic Tuxedo would consciously change the size by 10 inches. I am extremely disappointed, and want to warn people to avoid this place at all cost. I don't want anybody else to have the experience we did.

My wedding suit was made to size, and by the time I got it, I had lost some weight, they readjusted the suit and shipped for free, no questions asked. Suit was perfect and seems to be high quality. Everyone thought it looked great. They are busy, so make sure to make an appointment. I arrived there on a Saturday early morning and the only 2 people working at the moment, seemed a little overwhelmed and tried to send me away. I would say this is the one thing I did not like. I already had and item I had purchased with me, so perhaps, being a little more thoughtful with an actual paying customer would be nice. Giovanni, who had previously helped me, happened to walk in to work at about 30 minutes later, and helped me with no issues. I was out of there in 30 minutes. I will definitely order again.

I cannot overstate my frustration and disappointment with the staff here across 8 different visits,…read moreplus several phone calls, for a single(!) order. The tailoring process was awful (significant collar roll, too tight in the torso, strained/rippling fabric on one of my shoulders, etc.), hence the many visits. I have never ever had this much issue before with tailoring of off-the-rack suits, and this was supposed to be made-to-measure! Partway through the frustrating tailoring process, I discovered a hole in the shoulder of the jacket, maybe from a seam ripper or something. There wasn't time to make a new one before my brother's wedding, and after an initial offer to do so, they even refused to attempt to patch it. They did offer to remake the jacket after the wedding, but this just resulted in several more frustrating visits to the store, and my family got to point out that I had a hole in my clothes during the wedding. For one of my 8 visits, I was told to pick up my completed tailoring. When I arrived, I was handed a bag containing a jacket that still had pins in it and chalk on it, no tailoring work done. For another visit, they called me to ask me to meet with the tailor. "The tailor works early. Can you come by on Sunday at 11am when we open?" I say yes. At 11am, the store gets opened late, the tailor isn't there ( "they don't work early for family reasons, and they will arrive at 1pm"), and they have no record of my appointment. They called me and asked me to show up!! I gave up after that and walked away with a jacket that still has one janky shoulder. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

Feels: I'm not too familiar with Boston, but I was told this is one of the original areas of the city. There are lots of businesses and apartments nearby, so the neighborhood feels lively. The shop itself is pretty vibrant and spans two floors. They carry a wide range of apparel--from vintage pieces to newer items and even costumes. Customer Service: Awesome. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall: 5 stars. They had exactly what I needed, right when I needed it. If you're looking to refresh your wardrobe on a budget or find some unique costume pieces, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Tip: Check out their "by the pound" section--you can score some really great deals there.

Instead, Garment D. Is Organized, spotless and straight-up vibey. Two full floors to roam. Hot-pink walls, black-and-white checkerboard floors like stepping into an 80s music video. It's quirky, loud and proudly vintage. Everything's sorted with precision: pants with pants, denim with denim, tops with tops. These folks don't play around. And yeah, the majority of the clothing here is all use. But like I always do- I buy my stuff, take it home (or the cleaners), wash it and it snaps back looking like new. By the way- they do carry some new items- as in not used as well. My daughter and I bought some vintage denims, sweaters and a few other things. Zero mess. Zero stress. 100% unexpected.

Update: After posting my review, a manager called me and…read moreoffered to reimburse me for any alterations needed to the dress, and asked that after the reimbursements were made for my review to be adjusted. After being sent the receipt for the many alterations needed on the dress, Bella Bridesmaids asked me to send them the dress so they could have a look at it. I have not heard a word back since and have reached out multiple times. No reimbursement whatsoever, and they stole the dress that I had bought from them. I will continue to be in touch until I am both given my dress back and reimbursed FULLY for every alteration that was needed. Absolutely disgusting service. Original review: The dress I ordered fit TERRIBLY--It was as if they didn't take any of my measurements. They also wouldn't return any of my calls asking about alterations. Luckily I was able to find a tailor in the area (who agreed that the dress was poorly made) to help when Bella Bridesmaids wouldn't.

I wanted to write this review for two reasons. One to talk about my experience with this store and…read moresecond to share some insight on bridal industry. If you don't know this the companies that make and design the dresses decide what "sample size" is. They usually base this off a size 4/6 for what they call standard or straight sizes and a 16/18 for plus. Every clothing brand has different sizing and bridal sizing for whatever reason appears to run smaller than normal sizing. Its going to be very hard to order a dress without measurements and the measurements taken are matched against the sizing chart from the bridal companies. Most people are in between sizes. So if you are annoyed about the size of dresses to try on then say something to the clothing brands, post that on insta and facebook and push them for more sizes. My sister's and I went to Bella in decemeber 2019. We were late arriving because of a small accident on the highway on our way there. Even though the store was busy we had our own space and we were not rushed despite going over our appointment time. The woman who worked with us let us try on everything we were interested in seeing. I was excited to go to the Boston store even though I live in New York because they had brands that are not available in the other locations. I wanted to order and pay for the dresses myself and I reached out Brit who helped me do this on the website. Our wedding was going to be in June. In April we realized it would not be safe or smart to go ahead with this plan. I reached out to Brit and she has worked with me to come up with a plan for what to do since we are now rescheduling. Having to plan a wedding once is stressful enough. I never thought i would have to plan it all again, so I am hugely grateful to Brit and Bella for making this process easier

They then start to hack away at that to try and make it fit you. The single worst suit purchase I've ever made and it was unfortunately for my wedding day. Suit is awful quality material and threads constantly coming out of it. The local laundromat commented that no matter what they do it just bleeds threads and seems to be very cheap fabric. Basically you will spend thousands for the equivalent of a poor fitting indochino suit.

We went in knowing little about what we wanted other than a general idea of the colors. Alex was more than happy to be our guide through the whole process. He pulled out loads of swatches and laid them out, explaining the nuances of each fabric type and texture so we could make the most informed decisions possible. But, it was also important to him that we were making suits that were custom to our individual tastes and personalities. He helped us figure out which colors would work together while still fitting our budget. Alex and his coworkers were genuinely excited each time we came in for a fitting. You can tell they take pride in their work and that they strive to make something that is special and perfect for you. I could not believe the level of thought and care that went into crafting the perfect fit. We received so many compliments on our suits and I can't wait for the next opportunity to wear mine again!
