I scheduled…read morean appointment, but the technician arrived earlier than planned and completed the work before I arrived because it was an extremely hot day. Afterward, Joseph contacted me by text and phone to discuss the condition of my AC unit and recommended replacing the entire HVAC system. At the time, I was not ready to replace the whole system. Instead, I chose to purchase a 5-year warranty contract as recommended on July 23, 2024 covering the labor and parts related to the repair that had just been completed. The warranty cost me $2,900. Unfortunately, only three days later, on July 26, 2024, the AC stopped blowing cold air again. I had to make several calls and send a couple of text messages before another technician was sent out to address the issue. All communication throughout this process took place through phone calls and text messages, and due to my schedule, I was unable to meet the technicians in person or directly observe the repairs being performed. The AC then worked for approximately one year and ten months until May 11, 2026, when the same issue occurred again. I called Joseph, and he returned the following day to inspect the unit, and again he recommended replacing the entire HVAC system. From my perspective, the discussions over the phones primarily focused on replacement options rather than repair options available under my existing warranty contract. While I understand that older HVAC systems can eventually require replacement, as a customer, I would have prefered more discussions regarding possible repairs reletated to the recurring issue and warranty contract I had previously purchased. Because of this experience, I decided to contact another HVAC company rather than pursuing repairs through Best HVAC under the warranty agreement that cost me $2,900. I also decided to discontinue using Best HVAC services going forward. This review reflects my personal experience and opinion as a customer.

After Sean expected the unit and called his boss Bret to explain the issue.Bret ensured us that we will be taken care of within a week and that we needed to replacement part that had went out in the unit,and the company didn't carry the part, that it would take 3 to 5 business days to come in so we said ok we'll wait patiently even with the 105 degree heat. Because we were pleased how timely his team specifically Sean responded to our call. All of a sudden mentally something went terribly wrong with Bret.The weekend had passed, and it was time for Brent and his worker to come back out and repair the unit proximally 1 week.remember we're still suffering and 105 degree heat with no AC working. He instanly mentally snapped and went off on my husband over the telephone,I thought how scary? (Mental illness is so real folks,get help if you need it, please!!) He exclaims to my husband that he have never had this issue with a customer and we were the only customer with this particular issue which I find to be a complete lie and a very interesting comment!!!! And so what if you didn't,Figure it out Bret your suppose to be a licensed professional contractor, what a complete waste of our time. Bret continued to rant histerically, my husband said he sounded drunk and was really agitated, not to mention this was at 8:00a.m. in the morning on 8/3/20 Monday morning! Who starts a day off as a professional business owner with a California Contractors license offering a service for people with such a nasty, unprofessional,angry attitude so early in the a.m. morning hour?We were shocked and so dissatisfied!!!!!! We felt violated!!!! He yells at my husband how he could not find our address, not to mention doesn't most people have navigation today? and we gave him the exact address and city where we lived, which his office is only about 10 minutes away from where we live. Sham on you Bret!You should not drink on the job,totally Unprofessional!!!!! My husband said he have never experienced anything like this from a business before in his entire 49 years of living,He snapped on a customer All because he failed to do the job professionally. Bret told my husband that he was not fixing our air conditioner that we were going to have to be in the heat. What a unprofessional lunatic I thought,I wouldn't want a weirdo like this in my home anyway. He then hung up the phone in my husband's face!!! Disoriented and drunk my husband said he was, because who or what professional business owner act in this manner?!!!! People please do your research on this guy before you allow him and his team to come inside your home he cannot be trusted he is total unethical and totally unprofessional.I don't care about the 4.9 star rating he have on this review site. I look at customer service and professional ethics. I will be reporting him to the California Contractors License Board,We are totally disatisfied and are still without cool air in our home along with our 3 children, and now we have to find another licensed contractor after waiting for Bret to complete an incomplete job. It turned out to be a blown fuse (which I could have replaced myself with). Vladimir could have easily just replaced the 1(of 2) fuse and called it a day, but he didn't, he replaced both fuses since they looked like the original fuses installed from the late1970's. He also opened up the AC unit to make sure there was nothing causing the fuses to blow. He cleaned the condenser coils, turned the unit on, and checked the freon levels. I appreciate the extra work. The other positive was I put in the request through the American Home Shield's online system at 5:40pm on a Thursday, not expecting to get a response from the company until Friday maybe Monday. I received a phone call at 5:50pm the same day, and we scheduled the appointment between 9:00 am and 10:00 am the next day. Amazing! I really appreciate the fast response and great service. We were about to have a heat wave so he found a motor locally and came back that night after his other appointments. It was after 11:00 p.m. when he finally finished with my unit. He did not have to come back out that night and I know he was tired but he wanted to make sure my family had air conditioning during the heat wave.
