I have only fantastic things to say about Mitch Bailey and his heating & air conditioning business! Mr. Bailey came to our house, HIMSELF, to assess our needs and give us a quote for replacing our central heating & cooling units. (When was the last time you called a company for service and the OWNER came to your house??) Just that blew us away! And he didn't just give us one quote, he gave us three and explained the pros and cons of each. We also had two other companies give us quotes, but we were sold on the professionalism of Bailey's. We were extremely pleased with the products he sold to us, the remarkable punctuality & cleanliness of his tech's work, and the consistent pleasantness/politeness/professionalism of his office staff. If you have a chance, stop by his business and ask to see the lab. Mitch is a scientist at heart, truly, and he can show you different styles of money-saving whole-house fans: how they work, the different noise levels, and how much money he can save you on your summer cooling bills. Just awesome! Heating & air conditioning stuff is pricey, no doubt, but equally necessary. When we're paying for home improvement projects, we want to know we're paying for both quality products AND on-going professional service. Bottom line: there is no one else I would want to do heating and A/C business with! read more

Bailey's is our go to HVAC repair & service provider. They are very professional and fair priced. We look forward to seeing our technician as we know he's going to take good care of us. We just had an emergency service over the holiday weekend and they were able to get our tech out the same day. Thank you Bailey's read more

Bailey's provided excellent service when.my air-conditioning fan when conked out in late August during a run of triple digit temperatures here. I called them in a Friday afternoon, expecting to be put on a weeklong waiting list. They were out here in thirty minutes! Moses' service was exemplary. He diagnosed the problem, provided a temporary cooling unit, and installed the new fan at 8:30 the following Monday! I definitely recommend them if you live in this area! read more

Baileys Heating & Air - Works great from the day of install! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Modesto, California

The technician was prompt, knowledgeable and even provided information for my home that's being built. The cost was very reasonable as well.

I had Baileys replace our heat pump 15 years ago and have used them since. Recently as our unit is getting older we've had them come out for their biannual check up and repairs. Their techs are professional , polite and punctual. They explain what's happening and how they repaired it. I know eventually we'll have to replace our unit ( they don't last forever) but I know I can count on Bailey's to help keep it running until then. read more

Very Friendly. Quality service. Offered information to help us make a decision about our air-conditioners.

STAY AWAY THEY LIE!!!!! . i am a business owner from Modesto ca, i called air hero's asked them how much they charge to come Maintenace my heating and air. they said it was a one-time fee of 169.99 for the year. i said great made the appointment (which took a couple weeks to get) once the guy got here, he said just to let you know you have multiple units, witch will need there own service.so basically doubling the price....... Frustrated cuz they didn't tell me that on the phone, i still said ok to it, then after that the they try and tell me they gave me the wrong price and its 199.99$ per unit...... so it goes from 169.99 to come check everything out, to 400$ over double what they quoted me on the phone... i call to tell her she needs to honor the price she told me originally, she said she texted me the new price(I GOT NO TEXT FROM HER)(LIED AGAIN) she said she would not Honor her word and that was the price. so they lied to me to get someone out here, then try's to jack the price up once someone is here...... what a con. i talked to SAM on the phone, she was the one who misquoted me and then told me, to bad she was not going to honor her word. I don't want to work with other business like this and you shouldn't either... . stay FAR AWAY . if you need more details please feel free to contact me about them. read more

HVAC installed years ago. Follow up yearly heat and AC service usually good. Today Technician Jacob was outstanding. His explanations regarding stage 1, stage 2, safety levels for emissions as well as settings and proper filters were excellent and most appreciated. Hope we see him for spring service. read more

We just had Bailey's Heating and Air, Modesto, CA replace our 31 year old HVAC system. First they came to our house, and checked the air flow and leakage in all of our ducts. We had a 30% leakage. Second, they took this data back to their office, and ran a computer model to see what size Trane air unit and furnace would be required. Mitch teaches this analysis technique to others for PG&E in Stockton. After sizing our requirements for our 2100 sf house, they started building a larger intake manifold out of sheet metal, and came back to install our new units, reduced the duct leakage from 30% to 8.8%, and added 1ft-5inches more insulation over the entire 2nd story of our house. All this was done in 4 days, by very competent people. BHA also set up the required inspection by the City of Tracy, which we needed to get our rebate from PG&E, which BHA completed and submitted it for us. Stanley D. Hiatt, PE Tracy, CA read more

We purchased 30,000 air conditioner, mini splits and air purifying system from Bailey. First few years, we had great customer service and follow up. 2 years ago I worked from home and noticed that guys are not doing services ce on mini splits as they should. I brought it up with office and was told that deep cleaning needs to be done which is not a part of the maintenance. I asked why all of a sudden they are talking about deep cleaning since regular cleaning was not done correctly. No one responded to the complaint. I called this year for the maintenance. Again, deep cleaning is a must. Again, I brought up the fact that cleaning twice a year was not done correctly. Coils were not cleaned, vacuuming of the mini splits was not done when they came over for maintenance. The technician told me that they were aware of the problem with the technician that was providing service to us and he is no longer working there. I called the office and was told that I might be not a good fit as a customer. When asked to speak to the owner, he never called me. I guess we did not spend enough for him to bother to maintain customer service with existing customers. I did speak to a manager. She was supposed to send someone over. 2 weeks later and no one came. I called today and was told that it is not scheduled. So basicly after 7 years being a customer, they do not care nor willing to provide a good customer service. We did give the 5 stars 4 years ago. Now I have to give the 0. Hope new customers will not give them any new business since follow up and maintenance is not their priority. read more

Our Fan Motor Went Out On A Sunday, called Bailey's & the were able to come out the following Morning, The Tech Carlos was great great! The Bailey's team did an exceptional job replacing our ancient furnace and AC with a new heat pump. This included redesigning the ducts, adding thick insulation in the attic, installing many fans in the bathrooms, kitchen, garage, and workroom. Along with the whole house fan they installed, this system has helped cut our energy bills all year. The voice-activated internet-enabled thermostat is a wonder. They quickly did some follow-up work to fine-tune some problems with the complex installation. When we needed a hot water heater to replace our end-of-life one, we chose a heat pump hot water heater, which efficiently moves heat from the garage air into the water for low-cost hot water. They quickly fixed a drip leak in a new line. If you want a company that will show you all your options honestly, install it quickly, and support their work, we recommend Bailey's! We also highly recommend efficient heat pumps for your hot/cold air and your hot water. Zero emissions is a great bonus! read more

Knowledgeable and trustworthy. They get the job done thoroughly and explain everything they're doing. Will only use Bailey's from now on.

IVE HAD SOME ISSUES! The life of a 10 year old dual HVAC system is always in question when you start hearing things "hum" in the night. Baileys has been my "go to". They have been supporting and managing my heat and air needs for sometime now. I haven't a clue who these people are that provide professionalism and clarity around what they fix. But they do it very well with honesty and the integrity I expect. Thanks Candy! read more

Asked these guys to come and give me a quote for 2 HVAC systems. They where curious why both had gone out at once, asked what tests had been done by the other company that i used to use for maintenance. During the conversation it seemed Baileys did a bunch more testing so I agreed to have their tech guy out. Well short story these guys just saved me $20k+ and all they got was a service call and to be my new maintenance guys. Not sure how much their HVAC quote would have been (got plenty more quotes) but a company that wants a long term customer over a one off rip off gets my business anyday. And both the tech and sales guys both very polite and professional. Lot better than some others I spoke to Give these guys a call read more

Had Baileys's out to service my unit as one room wasn't cooling well. The service people that came out were professional and courteous. They diagnosed the problem and repaired it quickly. I've used their service for my real estate investment business for several years. Service, repairs, and system installation. I'll look for another provider now. The last repair was a contactor switch for $335, which is way over what the industry considers an appropriate charge. $30 part and the rest is all labor for about a one hour job at the most. The technician was new and misdiagnosed the problem so a second technician had to be called in to help. Two guys for 6 hours and the bill obviously reflected the time which was passed on to me. I was also never contacted with the job estimate, only contacted with the whopping bill for their inexperience technician. Research yourself and ask other providers their cost before you let these guys come out. Trust me, this $335 job should have been between $150 to $200. By the way, this is only a five year old home with easy accessibility. read more

They showed up on time answered all my questions did a very good job servicing my unit and we're very professional I really like this company compared to my past experiences read more

Had our entire system replaced this past February. I called Bailey's first, and Mitch came out promptly and went over all of our options. He was very clear and forthcoming about the costs of labor, all the available units, rebates, etc. He encouraged me to look around before making a decision and that I be comfortable. There was zero sales pressure. The other company I had come out (I won't name them, but they are huge in the Sacramento area and surrounding areas) was ALL pressure. They were knowledgeable and professional and friendly, mind you - but they deemphasize the equipment and want to sell you on relationship with the company and perception of value. Getting any real facts about the equipment was nearly impossible, and getting the guy to leave my house without committing basically resulted in me having to throw him out. So naturally, I went back to Bailey's. I had a better system with dual zoning and a wi-fi thermostat installed for less than an inferior unit with no dual zoning by the other guys. The installation techs were professional and knew what they were doing. My pregnant wife was totally comfortable with them in our home even without me there. I wish I remembered their names so I could give them credit in the review for working late to finish on time, and taking time to explain everything every step of the way. Bailey's handled the rebates for me, and I got a better PG&E rebate than I was even expecting (they were reserved in how well they claimed they could seal my existing ducts, and did better than they promised). I would do business with them again, they will be the only company I use for maintenance of my unit. I love our new dual zone AC unit, I keep my house cooler and still have a lower bill than last year. I only held off leaving this review until I got all of my rebate checks back, just so I could be positive everything was done right, and it definitely was. Thank you, Bailey's! read more

After dealing with perhaps six Air Conditioning companies, for several properties, over the last few years, I will work with no one other than Bailey's in the future! Mitch came out, promptly on time and instead of just a sales pitch, he gave me an honest and EXPERT, complete evaluation of ALL of my options! Several, I didn't even realize were options! He went above and beyond EVERYONE else I've worked with! And btw, during his evaluation, he also fixed my AC unit! :-) The guy is a rock star! If Yelp had 10 stars, Bailey's would get it. read more

This is by far the best place to have take care of your HVAC needs! I called to have someone come look at my grandmother's heater that suddenly quit working. They were able to get a tech out within hours. He replaced the thermostat and had the heater up and running, and my grandma warm, within 30 minutes. My parents have had work done by them on their AC, and have had nothing but amazing service. The woman in the office was so kind and patient. Even after I canceled the appointment and then called to see if a tech was still free! You will not be disappointed. read more

It is not very often I provide a 5 star rating but Baileys Heat and Air was fantastic. He was responsive, worked with us to get what we needed for the manufacturer of our unit. It was under warranty for the parts. He kept in touch and communicated with us all along the way. I will use them and only them in the future. He accurately diagnosed the problem, called and checked on parts and even spent time on a couple of conference calls with the manufacturer. I have never in my life had such great service. They are a top notch service provider and I highly recommend them. read more

Had extra insulation added and the team did a fantastic job. Highly recommended team and workmanship.

Wonderful company to work with. They serviced the original AC/Heating unit in my house for quite a few years. A co-worker had recommended Baily's to me, at that point it was not on any scheduled maintenance. Baily's set up twice a year check ups. They kept it running properly and most importantly safe to continue keeping it in service. It finally was ready to be "retired" at about 34 years old. Pretty good run. I recently purchased my new unit from them. Installation and all inspections went extremely well. Always a nice staff to work with and they always take the time to answer questions and explain the process. I highly recommend Bailey's. read more

I had a problem with my AC in summer. I called Bailey's. One person came and changed one of the capacitors and charged me $180. The problem was not fixed though. I called them the following day. Same person came back and cleaned some tubes and charged me another $180. He said the problem was fixed but the AC still didn't work. I called them again. Two different technicians came and told me that the motor needed replacement. They agreed to adjust the $360 that I had already paid and installed a new motor. About 3 months after the motor was installed it started making loud noises. I called the company and reported the problem. They said that they would charge $75 to come and check. I argued that it didn't seem fair and since I got the new motor only three months ago, they should check it without charging me, but they didn't agreed. So now I have found another business to help me. read more

We just recently had to replace our 29 year old HVAC 7 ton unit for our home. We were pretty impressed with the owner, Mitch. We had a new Trane 2.5T Packaged untit installed on the roof. Converted from Electric/propane 20 yr old unit to a new Electric/Electric unit. We also had all new and enlarged vents, ducting and returns installed. These guys are top notch. Sales - Alfredo was very informative, laid out all options and looked for and found all rebate possibilities. He also came by during installation to see how it was going. Office - Great friendly and accurate communication. They handled all the rebate paperwork for us. Installation - Lee went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with every segment of the installation. Even when there were a couple bumps in the road he made sure no shortcuts were taken and that the job was done correctly. The pride and integrity was very evident. Overall great experience - don't proceed with new HVAC for your home without talking to these guys first......pricing was good too!! read more

I used yelp to get a quote and Bailey's Air Heroes responded immediately saying they had a technician available to help during the busiest hot season in the valley. An appointment was scheduled for the following day. The technician, Jeff, called saying that he was running early and came to repair our unit. He fixed the unit, and checked all the fluids. He even fixed up some wires that were coming apart. He was finished in less than an hour. I would highly recommend Bailey's Air Heroes. read more

I would for sure recommend Bailey's to whoever looking to replace their AC unit, furnace and / or the water heater unit. Their services were professional grade from the start to finish. All we can do nothing but sing praises for Baileys Air Heroes!! Notably, an HVAC system is a big investment. But, peace of mind that it will be dependable, and that the install will be done properly, and timely is very important. Every time we dealt with anyone at Baileys, was a pleasurable experience; they all truly care about their customers and take pride in their jobs. The sales reps, Alfredo and Phalla were wonderful. We never felt they were pressuring us to buy; any questions were thoroughly answered. If any questions arose that may have stumped them, they were very comfortable contacting and consulting with Mitch. The installers, Duane (sp?) and Joey were so awesome. Due to logistics, our furnace install needed to be relocated to our garage attic. Through the high July temperatures, never once did they complain. They even added new flooring & sheetrock to finish the original closet for us to use for storage. A dropdown attic ladder was added as well. They seemed to go above and beyond their job requirements in our opinion. The fact that they stayed on task, completing our job before going on to another, made us feel that our comfort was important to them. Owners, Mitch & Candy were approachable and eager to please whenever we contacted them. We feel from start to finish, that, Baileys went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. A&M Guerrero read more

I have the original a/c unit from when my house was built back in 1991. My neighbor just had his original unit replaced last week. I cleaned out some cotton from some cottonwood trees that are located near by, something I do annually. After cleaning it out I ran my a/c unit to make sure it was still running fine. Sadly I made some very loud and unpleasant noises upon start up. So now I am in the process of getting some quotes. Bailey's Heating & Air is the first thus far. They said that they would be able to repair it for about $700.00 maybe.... However as I suspected they recommended to replace the unit, which is what pretty much expected. Odds are I get it repaired this year and it gets me along another couple of years till it will just need to be replaced. With a unit this old it is probably prudent to replace it and more than likely reduce my energy bill. I digress, I'm getting off track! The techs that came out were very friendly and showed me some options, there cost and possible financing. All went well. However after they left I went to turn the fan back on to help circulate air in the house. Well when I went to do this the fan did not turn on. I then turned the a/c on and the unit still did not do anything. I then tried the heat and still nothing. I then went to see if they turned the power off from the breaker box and saw that the switch for the heating and a/c was still on. I now know they pulled the fuse on my unit which is on the roof. So I call Bailey's and I spoke with Mike and told him the situation. He then tells me, "Oh you don't want to run the fan as that will make the situation worse for my unit." My response to him was "Thanks for consulting me on this". This little action has given me a bit of a little bit of a bad taste. If they were going to do this they should have told me before they left, which they did not. If they forgot I wish they would have had the integrity to just say "Sorry we forgot". I am still having 3 other companies to come out and give me estimates. It maybe Bailey's or maybe not. As I told the tech that came out I am performing my due diligence before making a decision. We shall see. read more
