We run a Casita Airbnb as part of our home, and when the AC stopped working at 1 AM on a Friday night--with guests booked and temperatures expected to reach 105° the next day we were in full panic mode! Our guests' comfort is absolutely critical, and we needed help fast. HVACRMEDIC came through in a big way, and Scott was an absolute lifesaver. He arrived by mid morning Saturday and had the system fully repaired by noon--less than 12 hours after we noticed the issue! What really impressed us was that Scott also took the initiative to check both of our AC units, just to make sure there were no hidden issues that could cause another failure down the line. That level of thoroughness and care really sets him apart. Fast response, great value, and true professionalism--Scott went above and beyond. If you're looking for HVAC service you can count on, especially in a time-sensitive situation, we can't recommend HVACRMEDIC enough! read more

HVACRMEDIC - Home away from home needs to be peaceful and comfortable! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me

Outstanding customer service! I was fighting with my home warranty company to get my heater fixed after we were without heat for 11 days mid-December. I called HVACRMedic and the owner was at my house within an hour. He even set up a new thermostat for me (already had it on hand) as an add on to the job once he got here. A real straight shooter and down to earth guy, It is so nice to find people you can trust. read more

I've been told I needed a new HVAC unit for about 5 years from other companies and had been putting it off. After babysitting my old unit for so long I finally had to replace it as the heater wouldn't stop tripping the breaker and the heat exchanger was badly rusted. I got multiple quotes from some large companies and they were more than I wanted to pay, so I decided to get one more and that was from Scott at HVACRMEDIC. I reached out to him on yelp and he responded very quickly. He came to my house the next morning, listened to all my questions and got me a quote shortly after with three options. He let me know there was a newer brand called Ecoer that would get the most bang for your buck! I decided to go with this option over the Bryant to get the inverter variable speeds in a packaged unit heat pump. Once I decided on the Ecoer unit Scott got me scheduled for the install very quickly so I could get the rebates that were only available until the end of the year! The day of the install they showed up on time and got right to work unhooking the old gas unit. During the install I had a lot of questions and they answered all of them. When the electricity was being installed, I had asked if it could be ran a certain way along the wall. The new wire was too short for this. Instead of telling me he couldn't do it, he ran to home depot, got a longer wire and custom cut to how I wanted. Inside the house they needed to cut into my wall to run new thermostat wire to a new location. They wore covers over their shoes, put plastic down before drilling, patched the hole up nicely and then vacuumed up! Also I wanted the Ecoer branded thermostat which wasn't stocked locally instead of an ecobee. Scott said no problem I'll get it for you. He got it on order for me and installed a temporary thermostat until it arrived. About a week after the install Scott came back to install my new Ecoer thermostat. He also spent time with me going through and testing out the different adjustable options to have the motor run at variable speeds. After this a few days later I noticed a humming noise coming from my return vent. Scott came back out and once again spent hours checking all the settings on the unit and then figuring out the increased air flow from the higher motor speeds was causing some restriction at my return register. Instead of telling me that's just the way it is or that's normal, he fixed it. It was located up high in my stairway, not easy to get to, but he climbed up his ladder and took the time to bend every angled fin straight on the register and it instantly got rid of the humming sound! I thought it was a temporary fix and I would need to buy a higher flow register cover, but he bent every one so neatly that it looks like it's supposed to be that way. I can't imagine one of the bigger companies spending so much time to go over the settings, trying things out and the detail of work that Scott did. This went from something I was dreading to ending up being a great experience. Even with some changes on install day and special ordering me what I wanted he kept the original estimate amount. Scott does not pressure people into buying new units and will fix someone's unit if he can. In my case I contacted him after already deciding I wanted a new unit for sure. I plan on having HVACRMEDIC come out to do my twice a year maintenance / tune-ups on the new unit. I also have peace on mind since the Ecoer unit comes with a 10 year parts & labor warranty! I would recommend HVACRMEDIC if you need any repairs done quickly or if you're interested in a new unit! read more

Went great, Scott came by on time and did his thing. He was available the very next day after we reached out to him. He's also very insightful, gave us some helpful pointers. We will definitely call him again if need be. read more

Had been having intermittent issues with my HVAC unit for the past 3 years, until my system finally became entirely unresponsive. Called a few places and Scott was among those that didn't have a problem servicing the rooftop unit and was able to diagnose the issue. He was upfront in pricing and after seeking out the part needed, he was able to return that same day to replace the control board and troubleshoot the other areas to get the system back up and running rather than pushing to replace the unit. He even offered to hook up a new thermostat I'd purchased. He also informed me that he's able to access and service my other HVAC unit atop the 2nd story, which is not easy to find. I had a very comfortable experience and trusted his assessment. We have been very pleased with how everything is running, and appreciated how he communicated every step of the way. Scott will be our go-to from here on out for all our HVAC needs! read more

I've been remiss in my reviews for the help I've received from the best of folks in different areas on Yelp. Trying to take care of that today! One is Scott from HVACRMEDIC. He came out in the middle of summer after working all day long to service my AC/Furnace to make sure it was in the best running condition possible. He answered all my questions and explained many things in depth. I appreciate that time and effort. I have a feeling I'll be coming up shortly on replacing my unit and Scott will be the first person I call. I recommend HVACR Medic! read more

So I had my unit replaced because it got damaged by a tree branch that fell over. I called around to get a couple of different quotes and this guy was the cheapest. He did an amazing job, answered all of my questions and gave me more info on a 14 vs. 16 Seer for energy efficiency. I've had my unit for about 4 months and it runs great no issues. I've recommended him to a few coworkers. I definitely will be calling him again for future services. read more

Scott came out to diagnose a problem: My aircon worked on the first day of the summer then the second day it stopped. I hired him because he was a local business ( not a national system) and that his reviews were positive. I write this 1st review because his first time fee, although higher than national companies by 20 dollars was well worth the extra money spent. He was professional, listened attentively, took his time to explain the issue ( which was a simple fix) and charged me fairly ( actually nothing more than that for the diagnosis). He got the system up and running. And, he did it in no time at all. Between my call and his arrival was about two hours. And, he had other appointments scheduled but juggled to fit me in, too. I will have him return to clean my system in the near future. If you call him and hire him for a diagnosis and or to repair and service your heating or cooling system. PLEASE, WILL YOU TELL HIM " TERRY SENT YOU". I would like him to know how much I appreciated his quick assistance and professionalism. Also, if you speak SPANISH his Spanish speaking number is 209-328 9177 read more

Scott is friendly, very professional and gives great prices! He came out right away to look at our A/C unit. It turned out to be an easy fix but he quoted us an awesome deal on a new A/C unit with installation for a future project. When we are ready for the new unit I am definitely calling him to do the job. read more

When I first contacted Scott on the afternoon of June 28th, he was friendly and initially responsive. I needed the A/C diagnosed (and repaired) soon since I was in the process of selling my home. He stated he would try and stop by to diagnose the issue that evening. Late that evening he texted me letting me know he would stop by the next evening (June 29th). Cool - not a problem, I thought. I never received a call or text on June 29th and so I called that evening and left a voicemail to ask if he was able to diagnose the A/C, but he did not get back to me that evening. I texted him the following morning on June 30th and waited a few hours for a response, but did not receive one, so I decided I needed to find another HVAC company. When I finally found another HVAC company to help with my A/C issue, I texted him one last time to let him know. I normally would have just moved on, but since I gave him the lockbox code to my home, I didn't want him to stop by the house. He finally responded and stated that he had lost sight of my appointment. Disappointing. I imagine the other Yelp reviews are true and perhaps Scott has more work than he can handle, but if you're reading this Scott, in the future, just be considerate of people's time / the circumstances they are in - it takes less than 30 seconds to text someone back that you're just not available. * Update 7/12/2021 *: Scott: I understand and appreciate the response. Best of luck with your business. read more

Best HVAC service in the area. Their technician was prompt and professional. Diagnosed the problem immediately and quickly made the repair. Price was fair. Highly recommend this company. read more

My garage ducts were not fire safe. I called Scott; he came over the same day to look at the situation. The next day Scott and his worker showed up and did the repairs. It looked much better and appears to have improved the air entry into my family room. In a year or two I will need to replace my heat/air unit and will be calling Scott for the job. He answered all my questions, and I also will use him for the maintenance on my units for heat and air. Scott and his worker were very polite and cleaned up around them. I am very very happy with the work done. read more

I was referred to this company by some friends and I am so happy I was. Scott is awesome to work with and very reliable. He was upfront and honest about the costs and gave us options about replacing our damaged condensing unit. At no point did I feel like he was "selling" me something. We referred him to multiple neighbors and they are all extremely happy with his services as well! read more

After having 2 other HVAC installers giving me a sales pitch and high estimates, Scott came over, sized the job and gave me the lowest price matching the same units the other companies offered. Install was within days and Scott brings a helper and does the installation himself. Took all day but they finished, cleaned up everything and tested the unit. Don't hesitate if you need to replace your old HVAC: call him. Best price and best service, and on time. He explains that he has no sales force, no office staff and he does the installs and repairs and can offer a better price. He also came masked up as well as his other installer. And they stayed masked and safe all day. read more

Scott, is the owner of the company and he as honest as they come. Like old fashion true to their word with a simple handshake. He is truly knowledgeable in field and took care of the HVAC needs after I had another company come out numerous times to and take hundreds of dollars out of my pocket. When I realized I needed a true professional we talked for a while about establishing trust with a company as a customer and he sat and listened for 30 minutes; the next day, he was at my house solving the issues the other guys couldn't in just 15 minutes. Thank you Scott for ensuring and meeting the expectations of me and my family with pride. read more

I called this company at 4:30pm when our a/c froze up and wasn't working. Scott was able to get to my house by 6:00pm the same day! He was kind, courteous and honest! He didn't try to price gouge us either. I would highly recommend them read more

Last month my AC went out and I searched online for a HVAC company that could fix it. For better or worse, I relied exclusively on Yelp and had quite a few estimates from companies with high ratings. All of them, unsurprisingly, told me I needed a new system and there was no other option; however, HVACRMEDIC gave me options and explained each option. HVACRMEDIC was the most thorough, knowledgeable, responsive company. The owner, Scott, took his time assessing the problem, explaining my options, and answered all of my questions. The first question I asked myself was, "How can I be sure he's not ripping me off and that he actually knows what he's talking about?" Well, after having several companies come out to my home for an estimate, I quickly discovered that HVACRMEDIC was the one I could trust. I'm super critical and suspicious of companies by nature so I asked a ton of questions and did what little research I could, and compared what Scott said with other companies. Other companies (with high-star ratings on here!) tried to price gouge me, admittedly offered to cut corners, rushed through my estimate, weren't transparent, and didn't give me complete answers. Scott at HVACRMEDIC was the exact opposite. He completed the work on time, was respectful of my home, thoroughly cleaned any mess left, made follow-up visits to ensure my system worked properly, provided me with all of the required permits and paperwork, and was always accessible. At they very least you should put him on your list to contact for an estimate and you'll see for yourself. I tried many of the companies on here and I HIGHLY, STRONGLY recommend HVACRMEDIC! read more

I can't say enough good things about Scott and the work his company does. He was super responsive and got us on his schedule immediately. Our A/C was out and with temps over 105...we were obviously worried. There was no need to stress- Scott fixed the problem quickly and his prices were incredibly reasonable. Beyond that- he is a friendly, nice guy! I recommend him and his team 100%. I also plan on using him in the future as needed. read more

Our newly installed furnace kept blowing a fuse, and the original installer failed to solve the problem after a couple of tries. Despite being the busy season, Scott drove 3 hours to my home and instantly diagnosed and solved the problem, which was a situation where the thermostat wires were shorting. I would highly recommend this company.. Woke to my heater blowing cold air, not good when you have a newborn in the house. Sent a message out on yelp and Scott answered the call immediately.. was out to my house within 30 min diagnosed our problem and possibly saved our lives. He let us know or heater was leaking carbon monoxide, we had no idea, being that we are renters he was very patient with the texts and phone calls going back and forth, he gave a good quote and finished the work on time was funny and courteous during. Anyone looking for an honest HVAC person, look no further. Scott is your guy. I have a rental home in Modesto and tenant stated the AC was not blowing cold air. I had one guy that came and said the motor needs to be replaced but never came back with the quote. I had another guy came and said I need a new unit. Then I found Scott on Yelp and thought I would give him a try. When I spoke to him on the phone, I already had a gut feeling this guy was legit and honest. He didn't charge a service call like some people do. He said he will be there and he was. He diagnosed the issue and said I needed a new motor. Price was fair and he was able to locate the part to come back the next day to install. After he was done, he called me to confirm and I paid him with my credit card. The whole process was seamless and Scott was extremely grateful to have the opportunity to do the work. I love people like that. He was no salesman trying to upsell something I didn't need. I will definitely use him in the future and also will be requiring my tenant to use Scott's services for annual maintenance. He's a great guy and I highly recommend you go with Scott at Hvacrmedic. read more
