Fair price and great service. My disconnected box was melted and needed a replacement. David with Pro edge contacted me and gave a fair quote. The next day Kenny arrived on time and replaced the disconnect box. I've contacted two other HVAC repair shops before Pro edge. One quoted me 3 times the price to replace the disconnect box and told me I need a new compressor too. Another one forgot never sent me a quote. Pro Edge tested my system after the replacement. So, to start, I sent out a quote request on Yelp; Pro Edge was the first to respond. They didn't provide a dollar amount but said they could set me up with a service call scheduled for today between 8 and 10am. There was no call or text provided and it was after 10:30 so I called the company to check on the status of my appointment. I spoke with someone named Mercedes who said my technician was called for an emergency in Tracy and would be here after. She was going to call me back with an ETA. When I didn't hear from her after about 30 minutes or so, I called back and spoke to Stephanie who said that my technician was finishing up and should be leaving shortly. She asked if I had somewhere I needed to be and I told her that I had an appointment at 2pm; she promised that he would be here well before then. I got a text from Evan at 11:39 saying that he was on his way and was 50 minutes out. He got here at 12:30. He came into my home and was not very personable at all. Took a look, gave me a diagnosis, tried to look for the part, very matter-of-fact told me that they stopped making the part and he couldn't order it. I waited for him to say more and when he didn't, I proceeded to ask him what the next step was. He again coldly said that from his end, he was done, he couldn't fix something he couldn't get. Well, okay then. I called my husband to tell him this (he works in construction and asked me to let him know what was said and done). The guy then asked for $130 service charge. First of all, this wasn't mentioned in the messages I received on Yelp. Second of all, $130 for what?! For you to show up more than two hours late, stand in my house for less than ten minutes and then rudely tell me that I'm shit out of luck?! I again relayed this to my husband who asked Evan to have Pro Edge call him as the service charge was never mentioned and Evan was more than two hours late. The woman he talked to straight up lied and said that she spoke with me on the phone and the service charge was fore-mentioned, that the technician was not two hours late because the service call was scheduled from 8-12! Blatant LIES and I have the screenshots to prove it (see my photos). I never spoke to anyone from Pro Edge on the phone except for today when I called twice to see where the heck the guy was! And no service charge was EVER mentioned... just apologies that he had not contacted me and apologies for him being late! I don't deal with liars. I would also like to mention that every other company that sent me correspondence back on Yelp gave me a flat rate estimate of $99. UPDATE: My husband decided to take the oven apart and see if there was anything he could do (let me note the that he has zero experience with home appliances) and he was able to fix it in less than 20 minutes. He said that the pin and the latch got knocked out of place and had Evan taken the time to do his job, it would have been an easy fix. read more

Definitely a five star business. They are honest and efficient and know what they are doing. My wall heater was not working and I initially had a different company come out to look at it. The other company did not disclose that they were charging a diagnostic fee, they told me afterwards that the repairs will cost $1500 and that other company suggested that the heater is so old and should be replaced. They said they can replace it for $2900. I called Pro Edge services to get a second opinion and I am so glad I did. right away the owners send a technician out the same day to look at it. even on the phone he said, "are you sure that this cannot be repaired? it sounds like a lot". the technician came out promptly as scheduled and shortly after fix the issue and only charged me $200 for the repairs. Although being paid $130, the Technician did not properly diagnose the problem. He opened and closed the machine quickly. He failed to correctly assess the situation and the problem was worse after his departure. I contacted ProEdge immediately after the service call, AND, the following Monday. My Samsung fridge suddenly turned into a freezer. I reached out to Pro and they quickly responded and sent someone the next day. Diagnostic fee was on par with other companies in the area. The first technician that came out seemed to really lack confidence in what he was doing. He made a repair that he hoped would fix it, but did not. I requested a new technician when I needed them to come back after the first fix didn't work. This guy seemed vastly more experienced and knowledgeable. Did a very thorough job inspecting the fridge to find the problem. He fixed what he thought was the issue, however it also did not resolve the problem. However, I put the majority of the blame on Samsung and their poor product. At this point I'd rather buy a new non Samsung fridge than put more money into figuring out what's wrong. While I didn't get my fridge back in order, I'd still give Pro a call for future repairs. read more

Updating my previous review. I ordered the capacitor from a local parts store and Evan came out and installed it. Microwave is once again working. Evan took his time and care while removing the microwave and putting it back up. He made sure the vent was taped securely which took longer than the actual installation of the part. I really appreciated his diligence. He showed me the invoice on his phone and explained it, which I thought was nice. I checked the reviews before scheduling and they have to be a joke! I thought his recommendation was suspicious because I had already YouTubed the possiable issue. I called another Tech and who was able to come the same day and I simply had to defrost my fridge and plug it in again. He said it could possibly need a part but to try that first! The repair technician did not know what he was doing! he was not knowledgeable at all when i asked him how many wall unit heaters had he ever serviced he stated maybe 1 or 2 i also told him that the unit possibly needed cleaning he said after checking the unit it did not need cleaning and it did need cleaning so then when i asked him to check the heater shaft on my roof he went up on the roof came down and said it was not dirty and it was so when i called out another heating company because the technician new nothing about what he was doing and did nothing to get my heater working and was paid $130.00 just to come and bullshit me i will never use this company or recommend this company to anyone . read more

My AC unit suddenly stopped working one day. Chuck, the owner, got back to me right away and had someone come out that very day. The issue was more extensive then originally thought but they were still able to get the issue fixed and the unit working like new in a matter of hours. Since 2008, I have different companies that had service my aircond and none of them could fix a problem that's more annoying that anything else. We had been having an issue with our fridge and searched for a company that could help us diagnose and fix the issue. I called 3 companies, and pro edge services was the only company that answered the phone. We booked an appointment and my tech Jesus showed up right on time. He came in, ran diagnostics, and recommended that we thaw out the ice buildup for a couple days so he can access the components that need to be checked. After letting the fridge thaw out, Jesus returned on time again and tested the fridge once more. He bounced any issues he wasn't sure about with his boss to make sure he was making the right call. After notifying him that I needed to leave for an appointment, he responded that he'd be happy to return the next day, and if that didn't work he would work around my schedule. He came back the next day, again right on time. I even received text messages that he was en route which I liked. Jesus checked the last components that could have been malfunctioning and said that everything had checked out. He gave me recommendations and reminded me of their warranty policy if anything were to change. He was thorough, personable, and very easy to deal with. This was customer service unlike most in today's day and age. All I was charged was a $90 fee for the initial service. There's no doubt in my mind who I'll call with any appliance issues in the future. Pro Edge Services, and in particular Jesus, will continue to have my business. read more

He came out evaluated my washing machine. Said it was either motor or dial. Told me motor needed replaced and fee would be $500 plus. I wasn't going to pay that. I'd rather replace the machine. Funny thing it started back working immediately after he left. I don't know if it's something he triggered. Or if it had started back working on his own. But whatever the case I don't need a motor right now. I don't know how long it will last but I'm going to take what I can get for now.
