This is some delicious grub!! What nice folx, too. We didn't want to carry leftovers around, so DD and I shared a BLT with egg, over medium. It was good we did because it was huge! SIL had jerk chicken & waffle, which he said was excellent. I tasted some chicken and it was truly the best jerk I've had in years. Perfect spice & flavor, yum. Both he & DD thought the waffle was great, too. I had good ol' decaf & it was rich & hearty. The restaurant is in a mini mall, with some really nice reserved indoor seating. It's not far from DGD's gymnastics location, so I will be returning!

I had to stop eating to write this review! If you're in savage mill shopping center and looking for brunch, you NEED to come here! I didn't even know what I wanted to order but I smelled the jerk chicken and knew it was for me! I got a jerk chicken omelette with customizations it was $13, really good deal because it comes with toast and it's huge! I'm def gonna have some more to enjoy later. This place is black owned, laid back cafe vibes and I really am excited to come back soon! Especially love supporting black owned!

More Than Java Cafe is a true gem! It's a must try. Everything about this establishment is two thumbs up. This was my first time visiting and will certainly not be my last. It's the perfect spot for delicious food, great service, and a relaxing environment. There are so many great options on the menu. I went with the jerk chicken breakfast sandwich on a croissant (no egg). Wow!!! This was one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches. I will say it does have a kick as jerk should. Loved it! The staff were super friendly and helpful. This place is a winner.

I've been hearing about this place, and since it's Black-owned, I decided to give it a try after a long day of grocery and household shopping, without eating. I ordered the jerk chicken with French toast. You order from a tablet they have up front; however, a man did greet me and answered any questions I had while ordering, which was a huge plus. The ambiance and space are beautiful, inviting, and serene. If I didn't have groceries in my car, I most definitely would've chosen to eat inside, which is why I'm going back. Now, about the food: at first glance, the jerk chicken looked questionable, it was a bit watery. However, it was good and not too spicy. The French toast was delicious as well. I didn't care too much for the smoothie I ordered; I felt like it needed more sweetness. Overall, this is a great place, and I'll most definitely be back.

More than a cafe inside of Savage Manor Mill! Food is cooked to order, so while the wait may be a little longer, there's satisfaction knowing that it's prepared freshly for you! Nice portion sizes! Very friendly staff, felt like I was talking to family or close friends. Nice menu options! I love that it was 1pm on a Wednesday and I could still order breakfast! Plenty of seating! Nice vibe. I was able to eat, read on my kindle, and enjoy the overall vibe. Will definitely be back!

Hey friends! I've been a regular here since their location on Main Street! Genuinely one of my favorite businesses in the area! More Than Java is a Caribbean based cafe offering classic and unique food and drinks as well as plenty vegan options. I went for my usual this time. A egg and cheese breakfast on coco bread. It was delicious as always. Such a nice Island touch to an American staple breakfast item. I ordered a side a breakfast potatoes as well. They were seasoned well, but I would have preferred more of a crisp. To drink, I had a dragonfruit lemonade. Omg, so delicious and refreshing. Their coco bread and house-made beverages are the star of the show! They're consistently amazing. Customer service is consistently beyond amazing. The owners are very warm and welcoming. The restaurant has the perfect lounge atmosphere. Plenty of couches and tables to dine, work, chat with friends! Prices are average. Friendly tip to park in the "Little Lot" and walk towards Charity's First Picks to access this restaurant easily. Hope you enjoy! With love, The Picky Pescatarian

This place is over 40 minutes from me and I will take that drive every time!! The staff is super friendly and provides suggestions. The jerk chicken and egg on COCO BREAD?! Babyyyy it was so good! And they don't skimp on the jerk chicken. I also had a Hibiscus Lemonade which was fantastic. It is located in the middle of a shopping center so things can get a little loud. But I sat in the cafe area and waited which was so nice. Lots of sunlight.

Come on over and visit Ms. Tabitha and the gang. Friendly faces, flavored coffees, delicious treats both sweet and vegan options. A little bit of everything. Make sure you try a sample of Nana's Apple Cider, so perfect for the winter. I enjoyed mixing coffee flavors, vanilla with caramel. What a delicious treat. Coffee served hot and just how you like it. Plus I love the decorations, bright lights, scenery with greenery! It's more than just a Java Café!

I stopped by Savage Mill and found this small breakfast area and it was great. I really loved my jerk chicken and cheese sandwich. It was delightful with the right kick of spice near the end of the bite. When you order the jerk chicken I would recommend paying extra for the coco bread and pepper jack cheese. Having not been in Savage Mill for a while, I wonder how much I missed out by not coming here earlier. Its really a solid breakfast place with a few menu items, ranging from omelettes, waffles and more. The portions are great, really feel full after ordering one item. Not to mention the staff. They are the nicest folks ever, they came by asked if everything was alright, provided extra sauces and ketchup when asked for and even were extremely patient with us as we decided what we wanted to order. The seating is great, its on the side and when I visited, no one else was sitting, so there was plenty for us. Its right next to this pottery studio, so we were watching in on this pottery class while enjoying our meal. I think there is outdoor seating but I am not sure about that, but overall the vibes are great. Sometimes finding parking at the mill can be a bit hard so keep that in mind. There are also plenty of desserts at this place and don't sleep on them. We tried the key lime pie and it was great. Definitely plan on coming back here for that sandwich. Was a great place, highly recommend.

I was randomly in the area and stepped into Savage Mills. I thought this was just a simple cafe, but was surprised with the Caribbean options they had. 1) Seating and ambience was pretty good. I was not expecting it. They had 2 seats near the wall with outlets for patrons to use. 2) Service was also pretty good. I got a Jerk Chicken and Egg Sandwich with Cocoa Bread and a Hibiscus lemonade.

I absolutely love this place. This is a black owned business that serves fresh food and juice. I usually get the curry chicken wrap but decided to get the jerk chicken wrap. I really enjoyed it. The staff is so wonderful and welcoming. The original location was in Laurel. I think this location is great. It's located in the savage mill mall. You can shop and grab a bite to eat. My favorite thing about this place is the fresh pressed juices. I've had several and all of them are great.

Located in historic Laurel, I popped in here after completing another errand. The parking appears to be predominantly street parking, however I did see what appears to be a public lot nearby. This is pretty much a carry out spot, I vaguely remember some tables. This was my first time here and the gentleman behind the counter was very kind and helpful. I asked what was pretty popular and he suggested the jerk chicken, egg and cheese. There was another customer in there at the time who indicated the jerk chicken, egg and cheese was good but very spicy. So I got the jerk chicken, egg and cheese along with a cold pressed juice. The jerk chicken in my opinion was not as spicy as the other customer hyped it up to be. However, I enjoy spicy foods so I acknowledge my spice tolerance is probably a little higher all things considered. While not that spicy to me, it was indeed delicious. The coco bread it comes on was so soft and the chicken tasted well seasoned. The cold pressed juice was so good I forgot to take a picture of it! I think it had ginger and hibiscus. I'm only sad I missed out on the banana pudding. That seems to be a hit there as well. I'll certainly be back to try the other juices, another sandwich and hopefully snatch up some banana pudding. Enjoy!!

More than Java is located on Main Street in a pretty busy area. There's street parking available and I'm happy I was able to find a spot immediately on a Friday during lunchtime. I have been wanting to try this restaurant since I heard about the jerk chicken, egg and cheese sandwich on coco bread. Like, what? Everything about that sounds amazing and it truly was. I think my eyes rolled back on that first bite. I also ordered a croissant for my daughter, a lemon muffin, and two lemonades: pineapple mango and hibiscus. The price was pretty good too. Everything I tried was amazing. The sandwich had a nice kick to it and wasn't too spicy. The bread was hot and soft. The lemonade was delicious and not too sweet but full of flavor. The muffin was still moist hours later. I'm so glad I finally got a chance to try them out because everything was great. The customer service was exceptional and the gentleman behind the counter was really friendly. I also loved the music playing. I can't wait to go back to try more items. Plus, they have a section for health items like sea moss, burdock root and much more for sale.

I got a fish sandwich: fried flounder, lettuce, tomato, red onion, american cheese and tartar sauce on a kaiser roll. The fish was thin and crispy, the toppings were crisp and fresh, proportions were good. Made fresh to order; it hit the spot. I wanted mozzarella sticks, too, but they didn't have any. There's a salad bar and there was a hot bar, too, which wings, fried chicken, and a couple of asian dishes. You order at the counter and then pay at the gas station attendant counter, so if you want chips and drink or other snacks, you can just get them in the station and pay like normal. The service was friendly and the line wasn't long, but there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up their orders or make an order. I came around lunch time on a Friday. Seeing people eating where you are is always encouraging; let's me know someone thinks the place is good. And now that I've ordered from there, I concur. They keep the place clean. There's a couple of tables and they looked newly wiped down when I got there. They close at 4 on weekdays and breakfast is over either at 10:30 or 11:30.
