Store owner is often rude, and I have heard him talk poorly about customers after they walk out on multiple occasions. They keep a good selection of new books, but a very poor collection of older books. This seems like the type of store to pick up your weekly pulls and become a regular, but there's almost no reason for new customers or collectors to pop in. read more

I stumbled upon this place on one of my Ashland journies. This is a really cool hole in the wall comic book store. It is such a huge selection for such a smaller sized shop. I could have spent hours in here but we were getting ready to go to the escape room just up the street and only had a few minutes to pop in. However I did manage to find a graphic novel that looked interesting. Awesome selection, very clean and organized, and well priced. I will definitely be back! read more

This is a clean and well stocked comic book shop. They have lots of variety and an excellent location. It's a bit cluttered and "closed in." It's rare that I would say a comic shop has too much, but for it's size, this one does. I would suggest fewer products on the spot, and add some places to sit back and browse before buying. This is a really fun place if you're a big comic book fan! They also have a good selection of D&D books and mangas. He also sells Magic cards for only 3.50! And also has really good prices for deck boxes, sleeves, and playing mats and such. The one thing that is sort of lame is that he doesn't sell pro-fit clear sleeves for trading cards. Worth checking out if you're passing through. Yes, it has comics--all the new issues of DC, Marvel, Image and other superhero stuff and all the variant and limited covers. The reason I choose to support More Fun is that they stock zines, small press comics, and other underground literature that I would have to travel to Eugene or the bay area to otherwise find. It's great to have it right here in the Rogue Valley. And the owner is a cool guy with great taste in music. Highly recommended. read more

Finally, a comic book store that girls can comfortably patronize! Not to mention those who actually read their comics rather than seal them up in a polyvinyl sleeve. This is a comic book store for people who genuinely love themselves some sequential art. They've got your basic superhero comics, your kid stuff, your manga, your dirty books, your underground comix, your compilations, your graphic novels, and everything and anything in between. Sometimes you can find really weird old stuff if you go poking deep within the miscellanea piles at More Fun. I unearthed a few issues of the supercool (and long extinct) zine Ben is Dead a few years ago along with several back issues of Rocktober and it totally made my vacation. Subsequent trips haven't been so fruitful, but I've always got my fingers crossed. read more

I have lived in different cities and dealt with all kinds of comic book stores. And this is among my favorite. The place is well stoked with a diverse plethora of comic book titles from all the companies. They have a room filled with half priced stuff. And they always have the variant covers for my favorite comic books. They do sell stuff for card games but I do not believe they have card game tournaments like some other place. I have stopped purchasing stuff on comixology and amazon and try buying all my comic book needs here, because even though my contribution isn't much I rather support this local shop than those big companies. read more

I used to love comic books as a kid. But since graduating high school, I only go into a comic book shop once every few years to see how the industry has progressed. (I watch Saturday morning cartoons at about the same frequency for the same reason.) Usually, it's more of the same puerile entertainment, but with more impressive graphics and higher prices. But, it's always a fun visit. This one was no expection. For an Ashland store--or any comic store--the selection was impressively large. There is a ton of manga as well; and the handful of things my wife and I were looking for (Miyazaki movie cell-capture manga, Claymore manga), the store had at 1/2 off in the back-issues half of the store. Score! Didn't ask about Neil Gaiman comics, but I'm sure that if I did, the owner would have shown me where they were. This'll be a fun place to revisit in the coming years. read more

Does Scott still work here? He was hot. I loved ABC Card shop in Central Point... Wiley and Bob were so informative, clean-cut, and gave great bargains. Their RBI machine was rarely played but fantastically fun to my teen life. Wish I still could live during that era. read more

Not an amazing comic store, but not a dump (I've seen shops go both ways). Good current selection. Excellent choices for 50% overstock trade paperbacks and graphic novels. Shop keep is quiet let's you go about your own business. They did have a copy of Sabrina #1 with the die cut cover that's been a tough find and several copies of Darth Vader #3 variants. Game selection is sparse but they don't bill themselves as a game shop. Not a place I'd hang out but if I was an Ashland resident and picking up weekly books I'd shop there. read more

I had to stop by in here the other day to pick up some comics for a cartooning class. I've never been a big comic person and was expecting to just find the normal Marvel... but there was so much good stuff! For such a small location, they really pack it all in. There's a back room for the "dirties" and a room to the side with all the collectibles and action figures. There is definitely something for everybody. I ended up spending over $80 and I'm already ready looking forward to going back and spending more money. read more

This place is definitely worth checking out when you're in Ashland! I have been coming up three years now for the Shakespeare Festival and this is always one of the first places I visit when I hit town. Great selection of current issues. I am more of a graphic novel fan, and they stock plenty - plus - he often has older editions of certain graphic novels that have lower list prices. He also has a back room of sorts where the GN's are half off. Found some good stuff in there. OK for Action Figures, but I don't fault him for that, the supply and demand on those things can sometimes be sketchy. Also has a small supply of game stuff. Always come out with an armload. I love supporting brick and mortar places where my business is appreciated, and helping out local merchants. If you go looking for it, it is accessible via a door on the street level and you have to go up stairs, don't miss it! read more

I have been shopping for years at More Fun every time I vacation in Ashland. The store's very clean and organized which is nice when you're looking for something. The selection of comics is vast and pretty impressive for a small store. They carry a lot of the smaller industries and titles that some stores disregard. Their graphic novel and trade paperback selection is also very impressive. If you're looking for a certain Marvel Essentials book, there is a good chance that the store has it. The back issues have their own room! And it's a big room. The store seems to love the DC Direct line and some of McFarlane's lines. The store also sells posters, which is kind of a rare find now-a-days. The store's in downtown Ashland and is an escape both in the summer, because they blast the AC, and the winter, because the heat is on. But don't worry, the books are in great shape. Plus, there are no taxes! Coming from cali, that's a luxury. read more

This is a great local comics shop, he does a subscription system and knows his regular customers by face. More Fun is a low key shop and is a pleasure to browse and buy from. Having worked for a decade in a comics shop myself I appreciate how hard it can be to run a shop and am glad we have a good shop here and one that is nice, clean and pleasant.... read more
