The business has a sticky note that says there's a small fee but it is not defined. A small fee is maybe 1-2% of the charge. I will no longer do business here because it's unethical to not be transparent in your fee structure and to charge so much to the majority of your customers. If you are that bad at navigating a payment processor then you have other opportunities to succeed.

Beanie babies, Lord of the Rings figures, Video games, Littlest Pet Shop, Little People (the ones we grew up with), Nerf Guns, DVDs, the itty bitty Polly Pockets (I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid), old PlayStation and video game accessories, Vintage clothing, Schleich figures, dolls, cars, and so much more--I felt like I had been transported back to my childhood. I saw toys that I or my friends had when we were growing up, and the nostalgia hit hard. As I walked around the store I felt a sense of childlike awe, and was caught off guard when I saw a beanie baby horse that I had as a child and had lost. It was a little bit like traveling back in time. Their prices were much lower than I had anticipated--especially since most of what caught my attention were toys I haven't seen anywhere since the early 2000's. The collection included a great deal of rare toys, games, and stuffed animals. They also had some toys that I've seen in the stores more recently, but Shiloh's Picks had a much more appealing price tag for them. The proprietor was friendly and approachable, and seemed very knowledgeable when it came to different toys and games. If you are looking for good toys on a budget, or rare items that you can't find anywhere else, this is a great shop to check out.

Has decent prices on more retro/early 2000s gaming stuff too. Was able to find a copy of Goldeneye 007 Reloaded complete with manual for just $10.00 when the average price for a guaranteed complete version online is closer to $40.00. Really great deals. All good things form a buyers perspective. That being said, they aren't the best from a seller's perspective. They require all consoles sold to them to be in almost like new with all original peripherals, including controllers. While this isn't totally unreasonable, it dose pose an issue I had to deal with while attempting to sell my 1TB PS4 Slim to them. The refused to take it flat out without a controller, where as Game Stop agreed to take it and deduct the cost of a replacement PS4 controller from what they would pay me. Because of this, I ultimately ended up selling the console elsewhere. Overall a great store and near perfect from a buyer's perspective. PROS - Good to Great value deals on 6th/7th gen games and hardware - Clean and well organized store - Friendly and knowledgeable staff CONS - Perhaps a bit picky when it comes to buying hardware from customers.

One is more of a wide variety but more modern, Tree house focuses more on kids and young adults, the Book Exchange is more like a library with collections, older , modern, categorized etc. this is a wonderful thing because you can't help but go through all of them. Treehouse does have a wide selection but over all vibe is bring your kids in and there is a flavor of literature for everyone. They are price very well and I was even able to get a replica ring of THE ONE RING ... TO RULE THEM ALL lol . Treehouse is a wonderful spot so don't pass it up.

During a road trip to Portland, my wife & I stopped in Ashland for a day.  While walking around…read moredowntown, we found this lovely children's bookstore.  Housed in a former bank, the staff here have crammed children's books, toys, games and other trinkets in every nook and cranny of the place, including inside the bank vault in the back of the store.  They have optimized the small space, offering the inventory of a much larger store.  Despite the vast number of titles available, the store is very clean and well organized.  The staff are also very helpful and were willing to answer all of our questions.  This is a must stop for us the next time we visit Ashland!
