My husband and I come here fairly regularly to rent movies. They have recently added a lot Of great snack and drink options that I've never seen or had before and for really reasonable prices. I have rented from them a few times. Great guy. Love that they have sooooo many options. I did ask about a movie that he didn't have and said he hadn't had it for a while but to check back in 2 weeks. He proceeded to research to order it while I continued to look through the shop. I love Video World. The employees are so helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of hard to find movies including Saving Christmas and Food Fight! Oh and I believe this is the only video place left in GP. read more

My husband and I frequent this lovely store- good value compared to Redbox... today we came in and had to let the clerk know that 2 of our 7 movies didn't play at all (thinking it would be inconsiderate to say nothing so the next renter has to also deal with it) and I kid you not, the guy with salt and pepper shaggy hair said super arrogantly, "it's not discounting the movies you're renting today." Oh. Ok. Glad we cleared that up. We're telling you to avoid it happening for the next renter. My husband just shook his head at him. Customer service skills are tragic. But we're going to keep going! We love it. Hopefully the owner will see this, your store is lovely, but hopefully flaky employees don't ruin that charm it has. read more

If you rent from these guys be careful of their late fees I share an account with someone and they claimed I owe them $11 so I paid and ask for proof. A couple weeks go by and the person I share the account with wanted to stop by there so we did and they told them that we still owed 17 bucks they are actually did not see me in the store and they were not able to provide proof on either account read more

I've been using Video World for years. During that time, it's evolved to stay in business; however, I've always found the employees very helpful and courteous, whether it's a movie or something else that I needed from there. I don't understand why anyone, especially a new person in town who wanted to take out an account, would complain that any local business involved in renting/lending a product would require a bill to establish residency, along with the usual forms of ID. I wholeheartedly support this business, and I've never met the owner. read more

What's this? A video store? With an actual physical location and actual physical videos to rent? It still exists! Everyone I've ever talked to here is friendly and helpful. It's really nice to know there's a non-chain video store that's still making it (for good reason) in the age of Redbox and Netflix. read more

Great location with plenty of parking, with a substantial selection of new releases, tons of Top 200 flicks, new & classic family fare and old faves, television series (including BBC), games, audio books (not to mention REAL books), and a nice little assortment of movie-night junk food. If they don't have something ("This is Spinal Tap", for instance, disappeared) and should have it, Jim will order it. Employees are courteous and helpful, and when things aren't too busy, they'll visit and get to know you. We can always count on Julius and Jim to know what we like and steer us toward something we'll love -- and, on occasion, to warn us we aren't going to like what we've brought up to the counter and suggest an alternate. That's the real difference between honest-to-goodness "local" trade and everyday mindless commerce, and why we love it. Video World Grants Pass is a warm and welcoming spot in a sometimes cold and careless world, and if they added a bar, we'd have stools there with our names on 'em. Long may they thrive! read more
