The most amazing store I've been to! So much verity, fair pricing and so much to choose from!!! They got everything from comics to puzzles, many games for kids and adults! This is a great comic book shop, and adds a fun nerdy vibe to the downtown area! I absolutely love that they give kids a free comic for every "A" on their report card. We've brought our teenage daughter here many times, and she's also come with friends and likes the place a lot. Both my husband and I were comic collectors way back in the day....late 80's to early 90's. My husband collected about 20 long comic boxes and I have one box (LOL) but even though we haven't collected in so many years, walking into this place puts a smile on our faces. I like this comic book shop. I only get here once a year, but they have had something unique each visit. The first year they were in their old location, it was a nice store. The next year they were in their current location, and they got bigger, and tons nicer!! Lots of space, more to browse and buy, and more open. I got some comic book pens. This year they had my story cubes, which I just love playing. They are great for all ages, and getting you started on ideas if you have writers block. Hub got comic books, some star wars dice for a card game. I will come back next year again. I can't wait too see what other treasures we'll find. read more

Great, independent comic book and game store! I was traveling on I-5 this summer, and was looking to stop for some pizza and figured I'd check out a local game store. Found Iguana Comics on Yelp, just a few blocks from Catalyst Pizza. Jackpot! Iguana is awesome. The shelves are a little tight in a COVID environment, but there weren't a lot of customers on a weekday afternoon. Everything was laid out well enough, and I quickly found what I was looking for - a copy of the Scythe Wind Gambit expansion and a bottle of Citadel's Skeleton Horde contrast paint. Prices were fair, and the owner/manager who rang up my order was both knowledgeable and friendly. Now I just need a reason to go to Grants Pass again! read more

This place is insane!!! They have the biggest comic selection I've ever seen and they have a ton of manga and graphic novels too. They have a bunch of really cool figurines too. There's a bunch of cool card games and board games as well as dnd stuff (I'm not very knowledgeable on that but it looked like a good selection.) tons of buttons and pins too! This is a great shop for comics and collectibles located in Grants Pass, OR. We stopped in on our way home from a summer trip to Hood River, OR. The place is very well organized and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My wife and I each bought some comics and spent plenty of time looking at all of their Pop figures, other action figures, and flair/buttons. It is definitely a must stop whenever you are in the area. AN IGUANA! Well it does use its name correctly, cold-blooded prices. I have been coming to this location every time I visit family, for last 14 years. Over the years the store has expanded to the point where I do not even see comics anymore. I am one for a collectible figure, however, I don't want to be bombarded with them the moment I walk in. If you want a comic you need to make your way to the back of the store and allow the placement of figures and other random items to distract you. Almost like a car salesmen attempting to add TruCoat to your purchase without you even asking. If you are looking to find that gem or mint condition without the CGC grade you won't find it here but you will find the price tag. A lot of back issue comics that might go for higher figures come with the objective CGC grade, however, here you are paying high dollar amounts for subjective non-CGC grades that are high above the recommended price value. I am aware the original owner has sold this location and through the years the service has dropped significantly. The main attendant (owner, I believe) is rude and condescending. Hoping you know nothing about comics, nor their collectible value, let alone the history and mythos. Everyone has their opinion, however, here the customer isn't right but rather just a commodity. read more

Seriously, not one review on this great little shop?!?! Mostly comics and gifts and bare in the game department, Iguana comics is a great place to buy and find comics. Stellar help behind the counter makes Iguana spectacular; awful, horrible service mars nearly every other shop that sells comics. With rare exception, such as "Play the Game..." in Syracuse or "Collectors Corner" in Baltimore, finding pleasant people in these places is rare indeed (Proverbs 31:10 comes to mind). After being promptly greeted I walked around. Hey, did they package series' together so you can buy five or six comics together to read the whole tale? Yes, why yes they did. Did they offer a deep discount on them? Yeppers. After a couple minutes the nice lady behind the counter asked if she could help find me anything. A multitude of questions followed and she pinpointed a title that I might be interested in (Locke & Key which was very good). This was some high level sales skills. Many props from a lifelong sales hound. There's a lot of books with drawins' in 'em at this place. If you haven't delved into comics in a while (or ever) I highly recommend swinging past. There's lots to like in comics in these days besides for a Fifty Shades of Grey trade paperback which has somehow passed an enterprising editor by. I give this shop an A, for being A-mazing! They always try their hardest to get me what I want, and they go up and above the call of duty to do so. Nice people and a great community of gamers they have built. You can come in and learn to play or just come in to learn about comics!
