I was promptly greeted and I explained what I hoped could be done with the watches. The person who greeted me told me that it could be 9 months to up to 1 YEAR before the watch specialist could look at them. I asked about one in specific (a 1930s Omega watch) and how much that would be, and unsurprisingly that was estimated at between $150-250 for cleaning and any repairs. I was not surprised by the pricing, but very surprised by the wait.

He spent a very long time assisting me and even opened a fresh motor off the shelf just to test my car. He did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. In the end I left with a new car after adding everything up and realizing it was a better choice. I only interacted with the hobby side of the store, but the bike desk service seemed great from the probably 30-35 minutes I was in the store. I cannot recommend this place enough!

He was so kind and helpful, even allowing us to handle some of the more valuable, rare items in his collection. Not only was he courteous and professional, but a true fan of all things nerd. Even answering questions I had about things I've enjoyed for years and never learned myself. To say this man is a Jack-of-all-trades is an understatement. He is an artist, in several senses of the word. Sculpting, Drawing, Crafting, even painting, I wish I had an ounce of the talent this guy has, and to be so humble and kind. Inconceivable! I have entered into a verbal agreement with Whimsical Griffin twice now for paint commissions to be completed that I have had to end up retrieving my property incomplete or not touched at all after extended periods of opportunity by the owner Vincent to complete. When shopping for a birthday present for a friend I was told that a game that he had in his store was all that was needed to play. Come to find out, after he made the sale, the game I was sold was an expansion that was for a game that was no longer in print. I then needed to spend $200 in order to get the base game to be able to use the expansion. I find this manner of business misleading and unethical. When people come to spend their hard earned money in a retail store they should be able to expect not to be taken advantage of. As a consumer I get to decide not to conduct further business with this establishment. I should be able to share my experiences without retaliation like the personal demands this owner has placed upon me to remove this accurate account of my experiences under threat of defamation of character.
