Such a wonderful experience. The amount of things crammed, in a perfectly organized fashion, and pristinely maintained into such a small store is extraordinary. We had the pleasure of stopping here on a whim (pun intended). At first, the signpost and name led me to think of a fantasy world Tavern or an Inn for weary travellers. Luckily, it was so much better. It was a fantasy realm unto itself. The owner and proprietor of this amazing establishment was working at the time. He was so kind and helpful, even allowing us to handle some of the more valuable, rare items in his collection. Not only was he courteous and professional, but a true fan of all things nerd. Even answering questions I had about things I've enjoyed for years and never learned myself. To say this man is a Jack-of-all-trades is an understatement. He is an artist, in several senses of the word. Sculpting, Drawing, Crafting, even painting, I wish I had an ounce of the talent this guy has, and to be so humble and kind. Inconceivable! Needless to say it was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I can't wait to return. Sidenote, sadly I did not get to try the cafe he suggested as we had to hurry back for an appointment. However... That just means I'll have to visit Brookings again someday soon. Thank you for the wonderful time and the epic Bard-themed, copper colored dice container. See you next time, in your new location perhaps :) read more
