Big fans ever since buying a mattress here years ago. The salesman who sold it to us, I wish I could remember his name, was super helpful and really took the time to talk with us about our needs. He was never pushy. The return policies were amazing and made us feel very comfortable buying something nice albeit expensive. Great stuff. Do yourself a favor and get a better mattress and pillow. HORRIBLE local business, AVOID! The salesman flat out lied to me and cheated me. I always prefer to buy local but was a mistake with Moore's. Same exact bed was 35% cheaper online but I paid the extra $450 to support a local business and expected if I had a problem a local business would be better to deal with. I couldn't have been more wrong. The general sales manager, Mike Quirk , did nothing to help and was the most uncaring person I may have ever dealt with. The owner, Jennifer Rudick, just hid from me and refused to even talk about the problem with a 3 month old.bed. I bought the replacement bed at www.costco.com at an MUCH lower price that included delivery, set-up and disposal of the Sleepworld mattress at no cost (Moore's charges an additional $100 for this) and the Costco mattress can be returned for tears after the sale, no questions asked Shop local UNLESS it's at Moore's Sleepworld! read more

Horrible customer service. We were lied to, deceived and taken advantage of in a very vulnerable situation by the salesman at the Arcata branch. We bought a bed and the highest quality mattress cover available. We were specifically told by buying this mattress cover, around $200, that it acts as an insurance policy that if anything stains the bed we would be protected for a replacement. The mattress cover failed miserably in just a couple months and Moore's and the mattress cover company will not honor their warranty. Mattress was 1/3 cheaper online but I prefer to use local businesses so bought locally at the higher cost just in case there was a problem I figured we'd have Superior customer service with a local company who's been in business for a long time. I couldn't be more wrong, they are not helping in any way, shape or form and are callus to the fact that their salesman completely lied and deceived us. Costco.com has a huge selection of mattresses and will accept returns no questions asked for many years after the sale. AVOID MOORE'S AT ALL COSTS. read more

I went to check on prices for a twin & full mattress. I was greeted at the door by Angie. I told her I had been to Costco & the price of their mattresses. She showed me their selections. When I went back to get the twin mattress, Mike told her to meet Costco's price for the full. This is my second time buying from Moore's Sleep World. I just saw the response to this review and I am beyond irritated by the response that is full of absolute falsehoods and also by a person who wasn't there for EITHER SALE and someone who has never spoken to me, ever. Also, I'm not entirely sure they even read my review slow enough to actually understand what happened. I did not choose a more expensive mattress nor did I ask for free delivery. What are you even talking about? Did you actually read the review? I wanted an equal replacement for the faulty mattress, considering I paid extra for a warranty on the original mattress, which developed that dent six months in. I was not even able to get a mattress that was THE SAME cost as my original. I don't care about the one year warranty on the new mattress, that was super low quality, nor did I ask for free delivery. I wanted you to pick up the old one, you know the expensive one that broke. I got a cheaper mattress because I didn't want to pay extra to get a mattress of equal quality (which is truly the only fair). Also, fun extra fact I had a roommate who bought the same mattress about six months after me, hers developed the same dent. So, you all are selling faulty mattresses and then not taking any responsibility for doing so. This is truly a horrendous business, that based on this response, runs on lies and delusions. And there is literally no way, I am going remove this review because you responded (again by someone who wasn't there for either sale) with a bunch of errors and false information. You can't lie your way into getting people to do what you want. You did something shifty after selling me a faulty mattress now you have to deal with the consequences. I had been stalling since pre-pandemic on buying a new mattress. I always buy a rock hard piece of foam from Berkeley but they closed their shop. I went into Moore's - braced to fight for a hard mattress. No problem: Mike had me try two very firm mattresses. Both were just right. Then he suggested that I try a mattress with a comfort top (what I always think of as the lumpy stuff on top). It was beyond perfect. I never thought I would sleep on a "regular" mattress. There was no pressure to buy, just guidance. I never felt as though I had to decide that day or to make any decision. It's been a month and I look forward, every night, to curling up on my nice hard mattress with the enveloping top layer. Thanks Mike. read more

I love my mattress and my pillow however, I was never told the frame would stick out three inches from the foot of the mattress! When I complained about it the clerk looked at me with a "duh" look and said "so?" He said I should put a pillow between the top of the mattress and the wall!!! Never thought I would need to buy a pool noodle for my $1,000. bed to protect my shins which means I needed to buy a bed skirt to hide the pool noodles! Keep in mind that if I buy an adjustable bed frame it would be the proper length and cost more money....sounds a lot like "bait and switch" to me. My partner and I spent a month checking out all the mattress stores in the Eureka area. We came into Moore's sleep world and were greeted by Mike Quirk. He had outstanding customer service and knowledge of the products. He listened to our needs, and sized us for the right bed set. We were approved for the financing option and got our bed delivered the next day. If you need a quality mattress and want good customer service, this is the place to go. We couldn't be happier. Be aware that there is NO return policy. We bought abed here. We understood it can take time (30 or so days), to break in a new mattress. Well its been2.5 months and I haven't been able to get a full night's sleep. I average waking up 4 times a night. Back and leg pain. I having an MRI to see what's going on. Purchased a Spinks Edger 9000 from Moore's. Staff was very helpful during sale, explaining all the benefits of the all natural materials, and handmade quality , worthy of the 5,300.00 dollar price tag.Unfortunately the great service disappeared after I was unable to sleep on the mattress without severe back pain. After a few calls to the store I was advised to come in and purchase a foam mattress topper . It has been 90 days and numerous attempts to use the mattress ,but it has gotten no better even after the advised 30 to 60 day breakin period. It is now in the guest room and we are back on our 8 year old simmons with no back aches. Cannot recommend Moores or Spink Edgar.Hope this saves some one from purchasing a 5300.00 dollar guest bed. read more

Went in today for a mattress for my new apartment. Decent prices, of course a little up sell, but clean show room. (the sales guy kept laughing because i wouldn't lay on the beds... I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about this store. As exciting as it is to get a new bed, the task can be daunting (at least for me), but my fears were squashed almost immediately upon entering the store. Mike was the kind of person I immediately related too and we were fast talking like old friends. He didn't "sell" me what he wanted, he listened to me and sold me what I needed! I'm ashamed to admit I shopped online first but found Moore's prices to be better than I was finding and no way I could have tested any of those. Customer service ends the moment they get your money. If you have any problems with the product, don't even bother asking them for help. Amazingly, I had the exact same BAD experience as another reviewer. (1) Saleswoman was excellent. But, that's where the great service stopped. (2) Mattress received was not the same as the one in the showroom. The second I got on it the very first night, I could tell it was soft and NOT the firm I ordered. (3) This was confirmed by measurements of depth when sat on of both the mattress I received, as well as the one in the showroom. (Unless somehow the gravity at my house is stronger, or perhaps I lost about 75 pounds on the way back to the showroom, I got a very different mattress than the one in the showroom.) (4) I was told by the condescending manager who ignored my explanation, that "It was just a comfort issue." Nothing he could do. (5) The mattress is now in my guest bedroom, though I pity my guests who must sleep on it. (6) The $300 dollar mattress I bought 7 years prior is now again the one I sleep on, and I bought that on the internet!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR: There are lots of ways to shop local...Buying from Moore's is NOT one of them. read more

The manager Mike came out to my home, handled everything personally and went to bat for me to ensure I was able to get the mattress I wanted problem free. While traveling, we were in need of a mattress for our RV, we found this place by chance and called them up. They were willing to stay over there normal operating hours to accommodate our needs and were very courteous. There were some unforeseen issues and they provided their expertise and worked with us through a complicated situation we were unaware of. We bought two mattresses here about a year ago. Good service and quick, professional delivery. I went back to by a mattress protector and purchased one after telling the salesman the mattress we purchased. The protector was was too deep for our mattress and wasn't comfortable on the bed. I returned to the store to talk to the salesman about it. Since their policy is to not refund or exchange the protectors (I understand the hygienic reasons for the policy), I didn't really expect anything back. However, after admitting that they weren't super happy with the product either, the salesman spoke to the manager on the phone, and I was supposed to get a phone call back about it. I ordered a European King bed. Paid in advance $2,500. Bought a special ordered extra soft one. Ordered sheets to fit. Paid hundreds of dollars for them. Washed them when the lady called and said my bed was ready for delivery. Got it and slept in it 3/nights while it killed my back before looking at the tag and finding out it was an extra hard European King. Called them and was told, Well we didn't want to make you wait while we reordered a soft one??? Told her I couldn't sleep on it and so instead of a refund she said she would bring a loaner over till my European bed (the extra soft one) arrived. Of course my sheets didn't fit the California King. Eventually she calls me and tells me she can't get the bed I want and she won't give me a refund but she will give me a set of sheets for $99. Don't trust them if you buy there, check everything. I hear other stories like mine. Better off at cost co! Oh by the way, I still have the loaner CA king bed..... read more

This place has exceptional customer service and I highly, highly recommend them! My mother-in-law needed a bed after her husband passed away. We went in to look at mattress sets, hoping to be able to get something delivered within the week. Not only did they hook us up with a great set at a good price, they were able to reschedule things to deliver it the same day out in Miranda. They went above and beyond!
