I came in for the Magic the Gathering Lorwyn Eclipse prerelease playing Two Headed Giant with a friend, and the entire event ran smoother than a hyperspace jump. From registration to the final round, everything was organized, on time, and genuinely fun. No chaos, no dark side rulings, just solid event management. The Magic community here is strong. Friendly players, good vibes, and a welcoming atmosphere whether you're a veteran Jedi or still figuring out which lands to tap. It's the kind of shop where you feel comfortable coming back even if you don't know everyone yet. Moon Shot Games has earned a repeat visit. Hate when an individual ruins the atmosphere of a small business I especially enjoyed supporting too! Just walked out of the store and had to write this review because of the poor attitude my husband and I encountered during our visit. We were looking at the displays and Pokemon TCG stuff they had available behind the counter when my husband asked whether they were getting the new set coming out. The sales associate said yes and showed off the new products and stated it wouldn't go on sale until tomorrow. My husband and him joked around about the set when a separate man behind the counter wearing a pink beanie chimed in and stated in a poor attitude to his sales associate, "Hey can you just move that shipment somewhere else so people can stop asking about it?" Which led his sales associate to stop our conversation and leave to move the shipment that wasn't meant to be brought up! No worries on that! I finally made it to the Moonshot Games storefront in downtown Noblesville! It's a small but mighty shop with a room in the back dedicated to board game events. They seem to have a larger focus on trading cards and accessories than board games and puzzles, the latter of which I'm most interested in. If I wanted a specific game, I'd likely go to their website first to check stock or order ahead rather than visiting in-store. We came here after realizing another game shop we used to visit had shut down. I was really impressed with the selection of board and card games. They also had a respectable selection of Funko pops as well, and a big room towards the back for group gameplay that was filled with people playing. The employees were knowledgeable and helpful, and I left with two new games I'm excited to play! Prices are about on par with anywhere else that sells games. read more

I buy a lot of mtg box sets here and every time I come in the clerk never greets me or asks if I need anything, always feel awkward standing at the counter and then STILL be the one to reach out for help even when I'm the only one in the store . Today it happened again and in fact I walked in, said hello, and literally crickets LOL. They need to be better with customer service skills like I saw one comment say. Other than that, I like the inventory and the prices are fair. I prefer to shop small but they need to work on being friendly and helpful and not making people feel like a bother. read more

You are not going to find a better board game store! We have spent the last month driving all around the state (and eastern Illinois) visiting gaming stores in hopes of the finding the variety that we craved. Stores seems to carry very expensive, long playing strategy games OR a ton of card games and it didn't seem like there was much crossover. Which is fine, have your niche, but we wanted a store that had it all. And Moonshot was it! They had popular titles, obscure titles, expansions, party games, strategy based, word based, everything under the sun. They were the first store to carry 2 games that we had been after for months and found nowhere else. The shear amount of games gives their stock such variety. We were so torn about what to buy while we were in there but the friendly people behind the counter were quick to offer some suggestions if you requested! Thank you for leaving us alone to shop otherwise. Sometimes you just want to look! We agreed to only buy two games and ended up walking out with three and five more on the wishlist. Despite living way down in Greenwood, we will absolutely make the trip again to buy more. 100% worth it! Also their prices? Lower than any of the other stores we had been to. Like noticeably low. Not sure why but certainly not complaining. Ultimately convinced me to spend more. Recently rented the party suite at Moonshot for a birthday. I thought the price was very reasonable. The room was clean and had a lot of games to play. They also gave each person in our group 5 dollars off their order if they bought any games while there so that was a great perk we all took advantage of. Staff was really friendly which was appreciated. One tiny thing that could be easily corrected, when we got to the room the large white board in the room said "happy birthday, George" on it. We didn't have a George in our group so we just erased it. Not a big deal at all and I'm sure it was just left there from whomever renter the room prior to us but maybe clear the board between groups. They also keep the games stored on their sides in the room, which makes sense so they can store more on each shelf. The issue with that though was several games we opened the pieces inside were a mess and would pour out of the box if you weren't careful when opening them. I know the rooms they're renting out are new to their business so I have confidence these little issues will be worked out over time. Highly recommend renting a room at Moonshot. While browsing around downtown Noblesville, I found this relatively new gaming shop on the east side of the courthouse. Inside, the shotgun layout has the checkout counter on the right, and a row of shelves filled with board games and card games arranged by type of game, for example, Strategy, family, games for two, etc. Beyond the counter on the right side, several tables are set up for games to take place. Note that there is another room beyond the main room of the shop that is set up with additional tables and serves as D8 Pizza on weekends and evenings. Seems like a natural pairing to have pizza available on site for those who involved in an onsite gaming competition. The people at the counter greeted me when I entered, but didn't ask if I needed any help or offer to tell me anything about the shop. So, I browsed and did research on my own to find out about them. Hopefully, someone who is an actual gamer will write a review to discuss the quality of supplies and pricing since I am not qualified to do that. My husband and I had been stuck in the house for a week with NO GAMES and during a cold weather spell. We weren't sure how to fill our time and along comes Moonshot offering free home delivery within X number of miles from the store (we were within!) during the COVID-19 pandemic. I ordered a box of Magic: The Gathering Commander Legends to do a draft with some friends. When the box arrived it had been damaged. There was no extra packaging to help protect the product in shipping. When I originally contacted the store they said they would submit the issue to the postal service. A few weeks passed and each time I checked in with the store they basically said it was out of their hands. At this point an entirely new set of cards is being released and my group is losing interest in the set that I'm holding onto while we wait for USPS. I called the store and explained that I'd either like to just send the product back or get 10% off. The owner was very understanding and offered the 10% refund. I wish the entire process wasn't drawn out the way it was but in the end I'm satisfied with the solution. My group got to finally open the packs last weekend and had a great time. read more

Fantastic place in regards to content. BUT BE AWARE: Moonshot follows the schedule of nearby schools. I tried to show up half an hour after open only to be told the store wouldn't open for another 2 hours, despite having employees in the building. Pretty disappointing especially since there is no signage, this information isn't on their website, and it was frustrating to see employees in there but be turned away. Great little game shop located in downtown. We have now frequented this shop on a few occasions and bought several games and gifts. This last trip this past weekend left me knowing we would counter to return. My family was greeted and even though the two employees were eating lunch, they spent time talking to us, suggesting games based on what we shared, explained the games and were extremely knowledgeable. Moonshot is opening evolving skies booster boxes and selling them as single packs for $6 each. Awesome right? The caveat here is that they are clearly weighing the packs and opening the heavy packs for hits to sell as singles. Prior to them receiving their case of booster boxes 8/4/22, they had almost zero evolving skies singles on their TCG player website. 6 hours after they told me they were not selling the boxes sealed, they have 6 new alternate art cards from the set on their TCG player. Anyone really think some kid walked in the same day they received a case and traded in 6 alt art cards from the most desired set in the S&S era? Unlikely eh? I would strongly encourage ya'll stay far away from those sifted single packs of evolving at this place. To end this tragic story on a good note; we can all at least find a little justice in the fact that it appears they were unable to pull Moonbreon or the either of the alt art Rayquazas. I always enjoy going to Moonshot. They always have something new to possibly purchase. My board game (and puzzle) collection has grown tremendously since we started going here. Mark always has incredible recommendations for games and knows so much about nearly every game on the wall (seems like thousands lol). I have also begun to dabble in MTG and this place is the best when it comes to Magic, whether that is gathering info about different cards and decks or even purchasing. I pre-ordered two boxes of MTG cards a month in advance, and also bought 1 current box of MTG cards. The current box did not ship, and I wasn't told until the day my preorders were supposed to ship that they couldn't find the box I had bought a month ago, and I settled with a refund. The two boxes I preordered were supposed to come with a box topper, but after I inquired I was told I wasn't going to get them, which was not mentioned in the description when I purchased them. The owner said they would throw one in as an apology, but overall my experience was that I did not get what I ordered, then I did not get what I paid for, and for an order that was over $600 I feel they did not put in much effort to make sure I was satisfied with my service. read more

I went into the store and there was a cash register to the right and broad games to the right. The counter sold individual TCG (Trading card game) cards. The main attraction for me was right past the board games on the right side witch held roll-playing books. The books consisted of mainly D&D and Pathfinder with figures to help DMs right next to the book. Moonshot games does have Friday night magic but I never really gone so I don't know what the community is like. The staff behind the counter was very nice and the cards in the counter (speaking only for Magic: The Gathering) were fairly priced and in good quality. They had quite a good variation between newer cards and vintage cards. The only problem I had was everything (other than the individual cards) is the D&D books and the Magic packs were more expensive then I feel like they should be. Singular magic packs costed roughly 5$ and D&D books were 5-10$ more then their average price. I'm mostly fine with that bcause they have to make money some how. read more

I was looking for some fun and entertaining presents for young adults 16 and older when I came across Moonshot Games. I called the Moonshot Games Toy Store where I met Joe. Joe went above and beyond to provide wonderful advice and guidance. It is obvious he loves his job and knows his merchandise extremely well. He has a great attitude and is very responsive to his customers' needs. Given the store was extremely busy, he offered to call me back at an agreeable time where he could devote more time and attention to the questions I had. That is what I call great customer service! He was offering a solution that balanced the in-store customers with callers. A rather unique approach in today's retail market particularly since I called during the busiest time of year which was a few days before Christmas when the store was extremely busy. Joe was straight-forward, direct and very helpful in helping select items and advising on when the packages would be ready for shipping. He made it so easy! Top-notch! read more
