On the other hand, the default salsa that came with the chips seemed off. I wish I would have ordered a side of some other style of salsa to compare, but I also had some decent salsa already in my fridge. The tamale was excellent: clearly made with some care. For being a totally vegan option, it was hard to differentiate between this and non-vegan poutine. The gravy was flavorful, fries were crispy, and the, I think tofu, curds were perfectly squishy. The truck is a non-profit that proudly displays that the prices are just suggestions. If someone is unable to pay the full price, you are able to pay what you can. I love the fact that that it engages the community and ensures that no-one goes hungry. I hope to try the curry fries next time I see the truck around.
