Most homes around Trancas and Broad beach area have weekly gardeners, so very few residents even get their hands dirty planting anything. It is such a delight to be able to go around the nursery and find little treasures, pots, succulents or God forbid, a California native plant. Bring your young kids as they'd love the Monarch butterflies roaming around and the resident cat lounging in the sun. The nursery is open Tuesday and Friday only, but if they would get more collective support they could do a lot more. These are honest hard working people and it brings me great joy to benefit them in any way.

I invited them out to view and make suggestions. Since they worked a lot during the Malibu Fires, the specific knowledge that they could teach me was invaluable. I was so impressed with their calm confident manner, defensible knowledge and suggestions that I hired them the next day. I am so happy to have met them as not only were they on time, they were awesome to work with on the ground. As I expected from my earlier meeting the job was done within the time frame they estimated, with a smile. Not pushy, did not ask for a review, which was abnormal. I wanted to review them as I was totally comfortable with the team. I absolutely will use them for other stuff, like my annual tree trimming. Malibu Coast cleaned up nicely after their work. Even ask me if there was anything else I needed before packing up. What an under the radar company that you should bring into your radar range. Give them all the work that they can do for you and you will feel the way that I do. What unassuming personalities with powerful work.

This place is so fun to wander around on a day off and they have a cat named Pancho who loves to help you look for plants! the prices are also pretty good! I got my albo for a very reasonable price for the variegation & size it was and it had clearly been well taken care of!

Sometime we rotate the pot. When this arrangement arrived last April, only half of the blossoms were open, the rest were still buds. Then one by one the rest opened up. I think there are at least 40 blossoms and some last five months. Zuma Canyon Orchids is a very friendly family-owned business and their orchids fabulous. Their green houses are breathtaking. When we asked what he could do to help, he said it's no longer his project once installed. I understand that things happen, but he wouldn't even come replace the dead trees as the job was too small, he said. We will be continuing with relandscaping of the side yard where the tree came down, some lawn in the front, and a hard scape of some kind on the side of the house. It's a real thrill to go to the nursery with Montgomery! His knowledge of nursery plants is phenomenal!! As for his crew, yes they are Hispanic, but they are one of the hardest working crews that I have ever seen, very friendly, and several speak fluent english!! We are looking forward to finishing the project which has been delayed due to all of the rain! I will continue this once the work is done!

One important lesson is to use proper contractor despite the price on your home. We had Wonderworks redo a lot of the landscaping work that had been botched by previous contractors. They were perfect for the most part except for some instance of miscommunication where a team was sent out to start a job before we had even agreed on the details. Other than that, they've done DG, drainage, and a retaining wall for us and everything was done properly. They dug deep enough for the DG, they built the retaining wall with proper support and drainage and the drainage they installed at the side of the house completely solved a problem I had with water pooling. Look forward to working with them again to do a paver driveway.
