How lucky was I to walk into Moon Valley Nursery (Malibu) this morning and meet Blake Tamarkin, a member of the management team who earned this Five Star review the moment he flashed his huge smile, introduced himself, and asked how he could help me. But the delivery crew and planters are rude, unprofessional, impolite, disrespectful and childish. One of the delivery crew was so rude and aggressive I became actually frightened. High quality hospitality Fast service and very responsive Quality product for fair price I called on a Wednesday and had someone at my house on a Friday to consult me on what kinds of trees would look best for my home. I knew I wanted two large shade trees for my front yard. Ani (designer and specialist) arrived exactly on time and was so excited to help me. She educated me on my options and price point and I ordered three trees in total. Two trees for my front yard ( a magnolia and a flowering pear) for shade and one fruit tree (tangelo) for my backyard. Everything was super easy and FAST. Ani texted me pictures of the actual inventory of the trees I wanted and asked me which of them I preferred. Two weeks later my mature trees were delivered and planted by hand by 6 people. Nixon (the foreman) was on time and very knowledgeable about the trees being planted. 6 people planted these huge trees by hand! And in 2 hours! Nixon educated me on how to care for my trees. After planting the trees the crew cleaned up and removed any excess soil and they hosed down my pavement and made sure it was cleaned to my liking. They were so great! Also my hose broke but they were prepared at had one of their own. So great. Good tip to know: if you have the consultation at your home (which I highly recommend doing) you do need to pay $200 cash/check on the day they do the consultation. It is put toward your total purchase later and also ensures that experts like Ani are paid for their time. read more

Very nice staff. But definitely Malibu /Beverly Hills prices. The lot is large at least a few acres. I didn't buy anything. They do have mature fruit trees with more years then Home Depot. But the ones at home depot have fruit too. They have a lot of large trees for the high end folks who can afford them. Regulars like me just have to pass. read more

I am very happy to have found this place. They are great people and they stand behind their plants. Some of my king palms and azaleas didn't want to keep growing after they were transplanted into my soil. I contacted Andres and he had the crew bring me and install all new plants to replace the ones that wouldn't grow. This was free under warranty but it was also offered to me without me having to get upset.. then Daniel Victor and the crew arrived and took out all the dead ones and put in all new. Zac and his crew are absolutely spectacular! They spent the day today at my property planting 3 trees and 5 succulents. I live on a hillside so it is very difficult to get such large plants to the specific areas to plant. They went above and beyond the call of duty and moved a very heavy statue to get one of the trees in a spot I had picked out. Zac is kind, patient, and very professional. Wow time and time again Moonvalley is taking my reviews down they are a company that take your money (they still owe me $3960 from not bringing roses! I ordered big roses they sent ground over roses are they joking? I spent over $26,000 on trees and privets ( they sent not the right sizes ) and a tree broke the very day after planting it and they DID NOT even DIG ! I was charged $1900 for them to do it but my contractor did it And $199 for them to get to the job !?!? So many Extra Fees and they just tried to send me a replacement that is half the size too small!!!! Don't waste your time or your money here they will give you a big dance they are a big company that has lost all integrity! Keeping customers money and not delivering!
