I tell everyone to go see Kevin at Moon Valley Nurseries! He has not only made my experience planting my very first garden as painless as possible, he has made it enjoyable and knowledgable as well! He works directly with my contractor and even set me up and coordinates with my irrigation team. I called moon valley in a panic because we removed my trees in the backyard and didn't realize how much they hid the buildings behind our house. Kevin was absolutely amazing, talked me off a ledge and really listened to each of my concerns, what we wanted and what we could afford. I feel like he was extremely thorough in the design and left not stone unturned. We had a somewhat complicated situation where we need a shade tree, but also are putting in a pool and the yard isn't huge. So that's a surprisingly tall order, and Kevin made it happen! He also has always responded every time I panic or change my mind again talking me down and helping me realize we have the right vision! Love it here! read more

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Moon Valley arborist Kelley Potter who was so helpful! Kelley really tuned in to what I was looking for and helped guide me, making sure I had the important information around characteristics and care of each tree so I could make a final decision with great confidence. She also went the extra mile to make sure I felt supported and knew my options regarding planting and follow up. Highly recommend!! Great experience with Kevin, such a great nursery and 5-star service

How lucky was I to walk into Moon Valley Nursery (Malibu) this morning and meet Blake Tamarkin, a member of the management team who earned this Five Star review the moment he flashed his huge smile, introduced himself, and asked how he could help me. And it only got better from there! I have some concerns about my beautiful iceberg roses that were cut back way too early last year and have been struggling ever since. Blake listened to the entire history of my landscaping project, looked through all the my photos, and immediately formulated a plan of action for my garden. He was so patient and reassuring - and I was so relieved! We already have a follow up call planned and timeline for reviving my beloved garden, as well as a plan going forward for scheduled, ongoing maintenance (includes Moon Juice!). Moon Valley Nursery comes through again! The 24 Icee Blue Podocarpus they planted in my back yard two years ago are beautiful and thriving, and I know the roses in my front yard will soon be doing the same. Highly recommend Moon Valley - special thanks and accolades to Blake Tamarkin! read more

I was in need of some landscaping for my backyard, which is at the beach. I called and Kevin Butler, a landscape designer was assigned to my call. I told him my situation and he recommended the plants I should select. He scheduled my delivery and followed up with me after the installation was complete. The plants he recommended were perfect. The installers were on time and very professional. They even left me with extra "moon juice"! I highly recommend. read more

Blake took great care of our front yard and patio redesign-- extremely attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. Everything turned out fantastic, but when there was one tree that did not make it, they did not hesitate to replace it with something even better and took care of everything immediately. I give this nursery a five star review and highly recommend to anyone looking to enhance their garden, home, etc. read more

Went in about 3 weeks ago in Malibu to purchase some 24 inch Potocarpus trees. I'm a licensed landscape contractor. I was given a price of 700. Made arrangements with customer to purchase 5 trees. Customer stated I got them last year for 500. Customer went himself to Moon Nursery last week and got them once again for 500 I will never purchase from Moon Nursery read more

I had an incredible experience at Moon Valley Nurseries! I went in looking for a dwarf cypress, and both Kevin and Zack went above and beyond to help me find the perfect one. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions, providing expert advice on how to care for the tree. Zack was just as amazing, guiding me through the selection process with patience and enthusiasm. The customer service at Moon Valley is top-notch, and the quality of their plants is exceptional. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries, especially if you're lucky enough to have Kevin and Zack assist you! They even have this thing called moon juice which I recommend you get. Great guys and I highly recommend you go here. It's a little pricey but their staff is by far the best. And extremely patient I couldn't make my mind up on which plant to pick from and they were extremely patient with my difficult self lol. read more

It's really sad that the people sent out to plant our tree were so unprofessional and rude. The trees and the people at the store are so awesome. But the delivery crew and planters are rude, unprofessional, impolite, disrespectful and childish. One of the delivery crew was so rude and aggressive I became actually frightened. Do yourself a favor. Buy your trees there as they have a nice nursery, but have your own people plant the trees. read more

Do yourself a favor and work with Moon Valley Nurseries. They have an incredible team. Bill helped us on our tree-purchasing journey and was fantastic every step of the way. We ended up purchasing two palms for a business entrance, and we loved them so much we bought two more a week later. The trees are beautiful, the price is right, and the service great. Thanks for the great experience. read more

I received 2 avocado trees from Moon Valley Nurseries Christmas 2023. It was the best gift! I am loving my garden with the 2 avocado trees. They delivered and planted the trees on 01/24/2024. Then on 04/18/24, Ramon came for my first MVP Pro Care Program visit from Moon Valley Nurseries. He was very helpful and educational on how to trim, fertilize, condition and watering of my trees. He had a checklist and did everything on it. His visit gave me the confidence to continue taking care of my trees the MVP way. Thank you for having this MVP Pro Care Program. camille was amazing. she was so helpful and knowledgeable about all the plant material.

Very nice staff. But definitely Malibu /Beverly Hills prices. The lot is large at least a few acres. I didn't buy anything. They do have mature fruit trees with more years then Home Depot. But the ones at home depot have fruit too. They have a lot of large trees for the high end folks who can afford them. Regulars like me just have to pass. read more

We are so thrilled with Moon Valley nurseries!!..Thank you..;)..We worked with Zack who was very knowledgeable and professional. We met with him at our house to talk through ideas and plant types that would grow well in our area. We then set up a meeting at the nursery to finalize and choose our plants and trees so we knew exactly what we were getting. Zack went above and beyond what we expected as well as the team that planted everything for us. We were trying to get everything planted before a special event at our home and that schedule was accommodated. Also the quality of the plants and trees are great! Our garden has now been transformed and we are so grateful to Zack and his team. He made it really fun and easy and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Thank you so much!! read more
