I have been coming here for 2 years now off and on. Massages are good generally but I have to leave a low review based on recent experiences. This is about their mismanagement and expectations that customers pay for that. A few weeks ago they literally forgot that I was there and took another client while I was on the table waiting. I keep calling the front desk from my phone, not wanting to walk around in a sheet and knock on doors. After 30 minutes someone showed up. Today I walked in and was told to come back in 20 minutes which I did. After I'm on the table waiting, 3 of them alternativelay running in and out chatting loudly and beginning massage, I'm told I have to leave because they forgot they had 3 scheduled appointments so they had to take care of them. I was asked to leave the massage table and come back later. I was floored. So unprofessional and bad for business. I'm very disappointed. I hope they care and fix this problem. I received a massage a couple of weeks ago as a walk in and it was great! I came when they opened so the woman was still preparing some things in the back. Im sorry I dont remember the woman's name but she was able to see me right away. I wanted a full body massage and though there is a language barrier she understood. Many of the reviews criticize the lack of English but still want a Asian massage from this business and it is embarressing to read. Those who did not like their massage were also ineffective in communicating what kind of massage they were looking for. I am disappointed in the amount of negativity there is towards the employees based on their English. If you wanted an Asian massage, who did you think was going to massage you? I typically let the masseuse do what they think is best and can tell them with MY inability to speak their first language if I would like to change the pressure. I look for firm massages to relieve hip and lower back pain as well as release tension from my shoulders, neck, and upper back. I find strong pressure is BEST for these things. I was able to get the massage I was looking for here. I am happy with my experience and the massage I received. I slept better that day and felt less tense the day after as I typically do with a good massage. Having had multiple Thai massages which I think fit best for what Im looking for, this massage was perfect for correcting the pain I had in my body as well as slightly correcting my posture so I sit/stand up straighter. First, let me start by saying I have never rated a business or restaurant less than 3 stars while being a "Yelper". That is until our experience at Moonlight Spa the other day. You could not pay me to go back. It's honestly hard to describe the experience we had (girlfriend and I) because it's so shocking. I've tried to summarize our experience below so you don't make the same mistake. We got a "1hr relaxation massage." #1). Very hard to understand. My gf said she understood what everyone was saying, but I struggled at times. Everyone did seem friendly (in the beginning). We had a couples massage. #2). The massage bed you lay on was a bit firm. Forget the bed though, when you put your face in the chair your chin was resting on a metal bar! The entire time my chin and my gfs chin were up against a metal bar. Super uncomfortable. #3). Massage technique was the worst I have ever experienced. No joke, we almost got up and left after 15 minutes but thought that would be rude. It felt as if they were trying to Speed Wrestle with us. Very abrasive technique and rushing from one strange maneuver to the other. #4). Both ladies were literally hopping on top of the bed and off the bed constantly to get leverage. Up and down up and down... so not relaxing. #5). More elbow than I've ever had in my life. That is not relaxing and doesn't feel good. They were constantly on the bed grinding their elbow over our bodies. It was so unpleasant. #6). No attention to customer experience. Constantly banging into the bed and jolting the bed so you could never get comfortable. Felt like mini earthquake after mini earthquake. Again, even if they hadn't bumped the bed continually, nothing about the massage was comfortable or relaxing. The lights seemed to be on full brightness the entire time. Spotlights on you. #7). They are not afraid of the butt massage. Literally they pull your underwear down and massage your cheeks. I'm Not opposed to this, but think about an elbow just grinding into your butt cheeks... again just terrible. #8). About half way through the massage they said something (I didn't understand) and left the room. I was hoping the 1 hr massage was over, but turned and looked at my gf and asked her what was going on. My gf translated for me and told me they were getting "hot towels". I asked my gf at this point in time if any part of her massage was enjoyable and she confirmed it was not. She said she was hoping it was over also. #9). The ladies return with hot towels and throw them on our backs and then just start scrubbing us up and down. These must have been 10 thread count towels because sand-paper would have felt better. Worst part was they did this technique on our entire body scrubbing up and down with scratchy towels. What the heck is going on? 10). This was the cherry on top... after surviving the towel rub of death, the elbows in the back and butt, terrible massage technique, the deal was sealed when they literally took my arm in a stretching motion and then violently jerked it and pulled it. What the heck is going on? She literally started tugging on my arm like that was relaxing? #11). After my arms felt like they had been yanked out of my socket, they then proceeded to do the same thing to our fingers. Yanking on our fingers!!!! My gf thought they were going to rip her nail off. Again... what are they even thinking? I guarantee you these women have no massage experience. #12). It gets better... they literally started hitting my wrist. They bent my wrist and then smacked my wrist two times (not painful, just startling and weird). #13). They then bent my arm back behind my body as if I was being handcuffed and grinded into my shoulder blade (ouch). After that they bent my legs back as if I was meditating. #14). To end the massage they soak your entire face in some oil rubbing it all over (chin, nose, cheeks, mouth, eyes, etc).... nasty! #15). When the worst massage either one of us has ever had finally ended (if I could have paid to leave early I would have... again without being rude), we dressed up and went to pay. #16). They charge you a $1 service charge to use credit card. Then it's like a pack of wolves emerges. The two ladies that gave us a massage plus the lady up front ask about TIP? Not only do they ask, but the one lady that beat me up the last hour starts telling me "$20 tip both us. Yes. $20. We work hard." I said, "no thanks." She said, "yes have do $20 tip each work hard." I've never felt so awkward in my life. Please don't make the same mistake we did. Seriously there is no price worth this experience. The massages were $50 a piece by the way. You'd be better off taking that $100 and have someone ride a bike over you, take a pogo stick to your back, and then kick you. Save your money. read more

What a bad experience. Obviously, you book a massage when you need to relax a bit.. and I felt anything but relaxed. When I arrived the woman behind the desk greeted me and I had no idea what she was saying, I let her know I couldn't understand her but that I had a 5:00 appointment and my name was Jamie. She kept saying, "call"? I responded, "Yes, I called" She showed me her iphone with the name Amy at 6:00. I said, no, Jamie, at 5. She then walked me back to a room with 2 beds, thin sheets and a bit brighter lighting than I would have expected and motioned for me to take off my clothes. She shut the door and I waited for a massage therapist to enter- no one ever did. I came back out and asked what was going on and I don't think she understood me. I asked her, "can you understand what I'm saying?" She couldn't. I hate to post such a bad review- but it was an awful experience. I went behind the desk myself to get by groupon paper back. I made an appointment last Saturday afternoon with my favorite Massage Therapist, Anna. As usual she was waiting when I arrived and asked me if I minded waiting two more minutes for a bigger room to be cleaned. Of course I don't! While I was waiting another lady sang a Chinese song to me which mellowed me out even more. Anna cleaned the room and changed the sheets and since I always go in freshly showered we were ready to go. I always do two hours with Anna because she is such an excellent masseuse that: 1) its worth the money to get the best service 2) gives her time to address trouble spots (I have a very bad lower back and left shoulder) I've met most of the girls here and here and yes, their English isn't perfect. They also took a few minutes to figure out my groupon. And I say......SO WHAT, you're there to get a massage and maybe relax a little. Those women lock themselves in small rooms with big men or help you rub your (smelly?) feet, and for not a lot of money. So..... give 'me a break. I will criticize their English when I speak better Chinese than them. Have some patience. 'Nuf said. As usual, Dr. Anna, as I affectionally call her, gave me two hours of hard massage which loosened me up and alleviated my pain for the last two days. I appreciate what she does for me and I reward her for her work, just as I would do any other professional. Oh, in case your thinking anything else, Anna is a pure professional. I had a gift certificate so I was excited to give this place a try. I made an appointment in advance and got in within 24 hours. I got the full body massage, and my therapist found all of my knots. She also used hot rocks and a warm towel to finish it off. I was going to give this place a 4 or 5 star review, until I went to leave a tip. I had a $20 bill and needed change. She asked how much I wanted back, and when I said $15 she told me the minimum for an hour massage was a $10 tip. Since when is there a required minimum 20% tip?! There was and she asked if I had already bought the Groupon and I said no and she asked that I don't buy it but pay them directly. I generally don't have a doing what is best for a local business. I purchased a Groupon in hopes that I would find a new massage place. Before scheduling my appointment I checked yelp and got worried at the most recent reviews. I called to schedule my appointment 2 days in advance. They didn't ask for my telephone number only my name. I arrived 10 minutes early anticipating filling out paperwork but when I came in the woman looked confused. I told her I had an appointment, she asked for my phone number and I informed her no one took my information when I booked over the phone. She told me I was late (for an appointment she didn't have me booked for) and I politely informed her I was 10 minutes early. She brought me back to a couples room, didn't have me fill out any paperwork, didn't ask me what type of massage I wanted just told me to lay face down. Upon expressing my concern regarding no paperwork or consult with the therapist she respond "you can fill paper out if you want" I just said no and stated I wanted a firm upper body massage. Back and neck only. Even before the massage started, I noticed the face protector had makeup from a previous client so I took a picture for proof. The massage was very fast, not slow and steady like the many massages I've had prior and she kept trying to massage my legs. On top of all of that the walls are paper thin, you could hear the other workers loudly conversing and the therapist was talking to them, in another language, while she was massaging me, through the wall. She left to get something and took a long time and kept asking if I had a hair tie. I will not be going back to this location and warn anyone going here or purchasing a Groupon. I came in today for a 90 full body massage. The spa seemed peaceful and clean, and the treatment room was too, so I thought I'd enjoy my experience. I went about 15 mins of my massage with no music, hearing who ever it was talking outside of my massage room so I asked for some music. She hurried and got some, but by this time I got the impression she was either very new or not trained. Not just because of the music but because of how she approached my body as though she was unfamiliar with the muscular and skeletal systems. She continued the "standard" compression up and down each side of he body while the drape was still covering me. This went on a good half hour, until I asked her to use oil as the friction of the scratchy drape was starting to be uncomfortable. Then I thought, finally! I can relax into this massage. She through the drape off me loosely (which is unprofessional to say the least,but I didn't care) Minutes later a vacuum or blow dryer went off.... I lifted my head up and looked at the clock, it was just under an hour, it went off and then immediately on again. I told her I'd be leaving and got up. She went out and had words with whoever it was outside the door with the vacuum. She came back in and I told her I was discontinuing my massage and leaving. I went up and paid for the 60 mins (which I probably shouldn't have even done!) at the advertised special price and left. I won't be returning, and don't recommend this place to anyone. I'm a licensed massage therapist and based off this, I think it's safe to assume that here people are not educated or licensed. Total waste of money and time. I also want to mention that I have a spinal injury from being rear ended and was really hoping to get some pain relief. read more

First she left the door cracked which was uncomfortable because I could see people walking by, next she kept burping and kept her cell phone on the table so I felt every time it vibrated and she would stop to check it and then the massage itself was so bad, she kept jerking me around then no pressure at all then super hard and she used so much oil that she kept slipping and scratching me, I tried to tell her but she spoke zero English. Finally she brought out of the hot towel and didn't let it cool so it burned me on my back and again on my legs. All around the experience was really bad. I booked what I thought would be a relaxing massage, I booked it online, received a confirmation email with my time and the cost, and followed instructions to call the shop to confirm my appointment. They acted like they had no idea what their online system even was. They asked me to come in at 2:15pm, instead of my 2pm appointment, I agreed, confirmed and showed up at 2:15pm for my appointment. Then sat. And waited. As they tried to figure out who I was and what service I was to receive even though I had a confirmation email and had made a confirmation call. Twenty minutes later, I was told to go into a massage room, and got ready for my body massage portion of my foot/body massage combo. Then I was asked by two separate employees to confirm my time and my services. While on the table. THEN I was asked to put my clothes on and start with my foot massage portion. It is now 2:45pm. After that everything was fine, great technique, great pressure. Then I go to pay, and was asked to pay $40 more than what was told to me online, and over the phone. After going in circles and showing my confirmation email with a price they agreed I was right and took my payment and I left. First of all I was very happy they were able to get me in as a walk in. When I first walked in the place looked clean and nice so I figured everything was going to be great. There was a large language barrier with the lady who greeted me but that didn't seem to be a huge deal at first. I pointed to the service I wanted and was instructed to pay first. Paying first was no problem however for a massage I prefer to pay and tip after. She ran my card I put in a tip then was promptly scolded that I didn't tip enough! I thought that was extremely unprofessional especially when you ask someone to pay and tip you for a service that hasn't even been done. I just walked in without an appointment. My feet and lower legs have been killing me and my back has been locked up for months. I decided to try the 1 hour Foot Reflexology and was happy to see that the lotion and oil they use is fragrance free since I have allergies. They took me to a room with 3 recliners and I was the only one there. Clothes are kept on, my pants rolled up and just a T Shirt on. They start off with an herbal soak for the feet while she massaged my head and face. Then she started on my feet and legs. I've never had reflexology before so I don't know if she was hitting the right pressure points or anything but it didn't hurt as much as I though it would and my legs and feet started feeling a little better. After that she had me turn over and started pushing down on my back and legs. It actually hurt a little but my back, butt and legs were bothering me for a long time (Even Chiro, a full body massage, and acupuncture didn't help) so I figured maybe it would loosen me up. It really did - my legs, feet, and sciatica feel much better than they have in a long time. I have fibromyalgia and was expecting to be really sore the next day like I usually am after a massage but I wasn't sore. Very surprised, I actually felt better than I did after going to a really good massage therapist and for less than half the cost. The hour long price was $40 and I left a $10 tip. Now, it's not the most relaxing type of massage if that's what you're looking for, there is a language barrier, and someone kept coming in and out to talk to the woman who was working on me but the results are what matters. Stupid me didn't get her name, so I don't know if this applies to all of the women working there. read more

These ladies are unbelievably rude. I have been here multiple times and today I came in looking to get a massage but I'm on a schedule because i need to pick my son up from school within 2 hrs. They let me know next appointment wasn't available until an hr + from then so I politely said I would need to come back another time. I then asked if I could use their restroom as I'm 6 months pregnant and desperately needed to go. The woman was extremely rude and said the bathroom was for customers only. I'm sorry but I've been here before....I was just trying to book an appointment and I'm pregnant. What the hell kind of logic or customer service is that. She then proceeded to tell me to walk to TJ Maxx...I honestly can't believe how rude she was and how willing she was to allow me to suffer because I wasn't handing her money.
