Good concept, average delivery. Like a few others I've noticed on here, the girl at the counter looked annoyed that I was even there making her work. I get hungry, and sometimes I like to pay people to make food for me. Get over it. Don't like it? go pan-handle, walk dogs, clean bird cages, sell T passes, or whatever. Paid 20 bucks or so for 2 wraps, 1 order of fries (not very big for the 2+ dollars spent) and 2 fountain drinks. Tables could have been cleaner, however, the concept of gaming on the tables is cool. I've seen it in a few other spots along my travels, but always a delight to see. Not sure if its a "bring your own game peices" thing though. Wraps were "ok", nothing I would want to rub all over my body and smile about. Drinks and everything is self serve, even picking up your food. So, honestly, and I hate to admit it, No, I didn't leave a tip, I tip people to wait on me, bring me things, etc. I'm not going to kick a few extra bucks (let alone 20%) for someone who "HAS" to take my order and give me a cup, The minimum wage they get should more than suffice for that. If anything, they should have had a tip jar or something, let me decide at the end of my stay if I want to kick a few bucks, not when I'm paying for food. All in all though, its a cute little hang out place to use the web, grab a slightly over priced meal but nothing too terribly crazy on the wallet. I will definitely go back again sometime. read more

I'm a fan of Moogy's. Good size servings, weird combos that totally work, and they're always there in the clutch. I used to live close by and would make trips there on occassion when I didn't know what I was cooking for dinner. read more

Went in for lunch, my friend and I both got Reubens. They were AMAZING, and served very hot. Strangely, they had no ice, so no fountain soda, room temperature tap water or a bottled drink. Prices here are very fair, service is quite minimal, but is friendly and sincere. They have a very cool menu (including fluffanutters), and a fun quirky atmosphere. Moogy's great because it provides both board games and beer. Spectacular combination. The food is up and down - the salads are below par, but the french fries, far above! The specialty fries are especially delicious - try the sour cream and chive ones. You think the grilled cheese is great, but you might find yourself with a hefty stomachache a few hours later. The booths are great for any size group. Bring your friends here for a fun, relaxed night where you can drink and not be at a bar. Instead, you can show of your scrabble skillz. read more

If you want a colorful, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff, GREAT food, and a chance at conversation, Moogy's is the place to go. Its unique in both its decoration and its menu. Hoagies, subs, burgers, breakfast food, salad, and desert are all options at Moogy's, yet it doesn't stick to the ordinary. Some of the stuff may sound like it should never go together but it just takes one bite and you're convinced that its GENIUS. I'm a relatively picky eater and I still haven't found something that I haven not liked. (My faves? Cow meets egg, steak and cheese, green giant, dirty birdy, and any one of their pancakes. Their boston creme pie is delicious and the banana bread never disappoints). Plus, who is going to say no to busch dollar drafts all day, every day.. (In other words, there's nothing to complain about here. If you're looking for a Cordon Blue cooked French meal with a 20 dollar bottle of wine, look somewhere else.) read more

I live a couple of blocks away so I go here all the time (and get it delivered if I'm really lazy or it's raining). Great breakfast burritos and egg salad subs. The egg salad sells out quick, so ask them to double check they have enough before finalizing your order. I tend to go middle/late afternoon with a book and chill for a while. Music can be a little loud, but it's good stuff, everything from Dean Martin to Grateful Dead. If you ask the staff they have a collection of board games (Connect Four!), some of the tables have chess boards inlaid in them too. Can be crowded, especially weekend brunch-time. They totally should take over the storefront next door and add another dining area. read more

This place was a bit confusing at first, you have to walk to the back to order from a window and the menu is not right by the window so you may have to work hard to memorize your menu. It was a very large menu. The atmosphere is nice and the prices are pretty good along with great daily specials. I got a scrambled egg (just a regular egg, not seasoned or anything, meh), toast (VERY good toast but just cheap butter that didn't do it justice), homefries (bland but good with ketchup), and a salad (very disappointing, while a 5 dollar small is still very large and the croutons are DELICIOUS, I couldn't eat the salad because they use Ken's ranch which is disgusting). My fiance got the Whatchamacallit or something of the like, which is a banana and cheese omelette, and did enjoy it. He was kind of bummed that the bites without banana weren't very exciting and would not eat this type of omelette often, but he liked it and normally dislikes omelettes. He also had a bagel with his omelette which he thought was mediocre. I don't live nearby but he intends to go there again. Credit card minimum is 10 dollars. read more

Moogy's makes for excellent hangover food. I normally go for a mimosa and a breakfast sandwich and it's pretty consistently delicious. When I go for lunch it's a tuna hoagy with hot pepper relish, sooo good. The only downside is that the line can get really long on sunday mornings, but once you order the food comes out pretty fast! read more

I love this place!! There's an extensive menu and cheap, good selection of beer. You can get breakfast all day and they have delicious pancakes (I recommend the chocolate chip, blueberry, banana). I got take out about once a year before I moved to Boston. Having Moogy's around the corner has changed that. I order from here almost every week. That means I should have a lot to say about all the variety on the menu, right? Wrong. What you want is a philly cheese steak with extra cheese, fried pepers and fried onions. Trust me on this. I can get two meals out of the medium, but I'm a small woman with a moderate appetite, so you may need more. The onion rings are only okay. The fries are great. Only once have I forsaken the philly steak. The hot veggie sub pretty great too, if you're feeling like you might need more vitamins than you can reasonably expect from a cheese steak sandwich. The sandwich concepts on display here are fantastic. I have no single favorite sandwich here because there are over half a dozen I can choose between and enjoy equally. Prices are a little higher than I feel they should be. Not ridiculously so, but I think their breakfasts especially could be a buck or two cheaper. I've only ever had the cheesesteaks and fries from Moogy's, but if they are any indicator of the overall menu, then it is safe to say that they have very good food at VERY good prices ($10 for a medium steak and fries to split with my wife is tough to beat). I also had a very positive customer service experience with them yesterday. I ordered a cheesesteak and fries, and came home after picking it up to find that I had mistakenly been given a chicken cheesesteak. I called up, explained what happened, and they told me, "Keep the chicken steak -- see if you like it -- and just come by to pick up a new cheesesteak." I came back to pick up the steak, and they threw in a couple cookies to boot. An unnecessary, but very nice gesture. And for the record, their cookies are fantastic. So, to summarize: good food, very good prices, very good customer service. I've gone here several times in the past, and will continue to go here for as long as I am in the area. read more

I really like this place. It's around the corner, and super easy to walk to when we want some good, cheap food. I don't know why everyone complains about the price... there aren't any other places in the immediate area that have a comparable menu for cheaper than this place. This place has good, greasy, terrible for you but amazing tasting food, and a HUGE menu with tons of options. I have yet to find something on this menu that doesn't sound appetizing, although I usually end up getting the Phantom Royale (steak, onion rings and bbq sauce on a hoagie roll.. enough said). I take off one star because you think it'd be open later.. but only until 11pm most days, which sucks when you want a late night snack and you can't find anything in your apartment. Overall, the atmosphere is clean, casual and super laid-back. The food rocks, and when you're going somewhere to get good food, that's all that really matters. read more

Moogy's is my neighborhood joint. I don't know of a better place to hang out with old friends and meet new ones. The food is consistently fun and delicious. Friendly faces, good food, fun games. The management offers board games to play while you wait for your food or just hangout and drink some beverages. I really like the unorthodox style to this restaurant. I love Moogy's. It's the perfect place to hang with your friends. The food is pretty good (primarily different sandwiches), and the prices are fair. I ordered a hotdog earlier today and it took 40 minutes to get to my table. Just a hotdog. And the restaurant was practically empty. When I finally got my meal the hotdog was cold, so I went up to the counter to ask for a refund as this was unacceptable. They refused to give me a refund and said they could just put my ALREADY BITTEN hotdog back on the grill to warm it up. Terrible service, terrible food, and unsanitary. read more

You'd be surprised how hard it is as a vegetarian to find a normal sub shop that can make me a cold vegetarian sub without any frills. I don't want pesto, tofu, eggplant, sundried tomatoes... Just a cold veggie sub with provolone and mustard. Moogys delivers when I am craving a normal sandwich without any meat on it. Great bread. I am not thrilled with Moogy's. I know they have some cheap specials and a few cheap drafts, but I always leave the place feeling like I spent too much. Maybe it's the paper plates and plastic utensils (which feels so wasteful when you dine in) or the food that seems so creative, but really tastes as if they are skimping on quality. read more

Last time I went here I tried the Chicken Cheesesteak, and it was an all-around rough experience for me. The chicken was bland and the cheese(I think provolone) added nothing. Partway through the meal, I decided it needed something else, so I tried the syrup at the table. As one might expect, this was terrible(admittedly my fault, but the syrup wasn't excellent). Upon initial inspection, Moogy's appears to be an establishment run by stoners, for stoners. The decor is a welcoming mix of psychedelia and dark wood. Decent beer deals and board games make the eat-in experience a nice one. Catering to the dietary id in all of us, there isn't much on the menu that would be approved by the trainers on The Biggest Loser. That said, I've sampled 10 or so different items from their extensive menu and all but 1 has been DELICIOUS (skip the buffalo wings--on the menu as an afterthought imo). Cheesesteaks are fully customizable (I suggest the addition of mayo, sauteed onions, bbq, and bacon---don't judge). The Love Child is a ham, turkey and swiss sandwich on french toast and served with maple syrup (I was skeptical at first but it's a go-to item now). Chive fries are a must have side as well. Breakfast alone is decent (and my friends seems to really dig it) but if you choose to indulge, make sure you eat there as their bfast does NOT travel too well for some reason. When we are ordering in (which we do often), Moogy's is always on the short list. P.S. On one occasion DiningIn had forgotten to pickup the French Toast for our massive order (I think there were 8-10 of us eating that morning). I called and the management apologized profusely. Someone it to my apartment immediately and in the bag was a HAND-DRAWN coupon for $10 on 8.5'-11' paper signed by the person who drew it with the message "Sorry we goofed, please accept our apology". There was a picture of a crying pig with a tissue box colored in with crayon. I still can't even draw a proper horse. I was impressed. read more

Great food at Moogys. Never had a bad meal. The sandwiches have funky names and the atmosphere is great. The best burgers around are served on a sub roll. This is great because all the toppings they pile on don't fall everywhere. They also serve breakfast all day which is nice for that pancake craving at 9 pm. There is always a selection of craft beers on tap and also have dollar drafts. If you have some crazy concoction of a sandwich in mind don't be afraid to ask. They have never turned me down. Great place to grab a sandwich and beer with friends! Also look for their in house baked cookies and breads. The banana chocolate chip is my favorite. read more
