Delicious hoagies and Bay fries! Cheap beer too

We went there tonight for the first time. We loved it. The food was great and our waitress was wicked good. We loved being able to play games while waiting for our food. We did find it odd that they didn't have sour cream. we will most definitely go back. we just realized we forgot to tip the waitress. I feel awful since she was so good. Ate her recently because we had a groupon. I had a burger which came on a bread for a sub sandwich. I would bet money that the burger was frozen. It was probably one of the worst burgers I have ever had. There are no plates at this restaurant. The sandwich came out wrapped in deli paper. We had to ask for flatware (which was plastic). We got the chive fries which were okay - not very crispy. There was one person working - the host/waitress/bartender. She was not super friendly. With the groupon it was reasonably priced. Otherwise, not so much. I would not return. read more

My other reviews on Yelp were complaints, so I need to give props somewhere lol. Moogy's is one of my favorite places to grab some good eats. This place has a little bit of everything- subs, breakfast, beers, etc. A very large menu and a very eclectic atmosphere that I like. Plus you can play board games while you wait! "Found" this place with the help of google maps when I was looking for somewhere to grab a sandwich for lunch. I moved back up to the area after living in DC for 8 years and I am trying to get reacquainted with the city. Needless to say this was a great find! Chili cheese fries were amazing!! (Comparable to Ben's Chili Bowl in DC) and the sandwiches were huge and delicious! I cant wait to try more things on the menu! read more

My (school) bus stopped in front of this place for ten years. The overly greasy onion rings are amazing onion-ring-crave-busters (best I've found anywhere I've gone). Their steak and egg is decent. I enjoy all their salads, the amount of food they give (and the fact that they're all named after surrounding towns). The wait isn't _terrible_ but it's not the snappiest around. I love coming back here when I need some hearty goodness. read more

Good stuff! Delicious, giant sandwiches. Yes, they are about $.75 more than they should be, but they are huge, clean, delicious, and funky. They have $1 drafts, which is nice. Huge fan of the crab fries -- lots-o-Old Bay seasoning. Never had a bad meal here. Board games at the tables...call ahead if you don't wait to wait awhile during weekend rush times, as BC kids load up the place trying to kill hangovers. read more

moogys is great! lots of options for sandwiches, breakfast and other finger foods. definitely one of my weekend favorites. it can be very crowded with the BC kids coming in to nurse their hangovers from the night before with greasy foods so you might have to wait or take your food to go on the weekends later in the morning and in the early afternoon. overall great sandwiches. lots of variety. highly recommend you try it if you havent gone already. read more

Moogy's is a great place to remember what it feels like to be in college--late morning brunches, delicious food, good beer. A terrific variety of unique subs and other breakfast combos. They're currently expanding and I can't wait to see what's next! Although I no longer live in the neighborhood, whenever we're in the Boston area, we stop by for the nostalgia. Good, relatively cheap neighborhood eats. Their mimosas are pretty boss, the food is excellent. I was a little confused by their setup the first time I went (you have to place an order at the window), but after the rocky start we had, it has been a wonderful relationship. Also, GAME. MENU. Yes, I have played Connect Four and Chutes and Ladders over heart-clogging good food. Not by any means the best joint in town, nor fancy shmancy, but a great spot to grab some lunch with your friends. read more

We go here 1-2 times a month when we just don't feel like cooking and many of my out of state friends fell in love with Moogys when I brought them there. Breakfast is all day which can be awesome because sometimes you just want the comfort of breakfast food for dinner (perks of being an adult). My go to is usually the Tom Boy (delicious barbecue sauce) or the hot chick (great for buffalo lovers). I'm my opinion the menu is a great size so everyone should be able to find something that makes them weak in the knees. The restaurant itself has the whole-in-the-wall feel. All the menu items are actually drawn by someone and used as art through the place which is pretty cool (picture mancakes as a pancake with arms and legs and crazy look in his eyes and holding bacon in both hands. All the workers there are really nice to talk to as well. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for good pub style food. read more

This is easily my go-to spot in town for affordable, delicious & fast food! Great beer/wine selection- you definitely cant beat $1 pbr drafts! The food is great- although their prices may seem slightly more expensive compared to similar local restaurants, once you see the portions and quality you'll understand. An XL hoagie is massive and stuffed with meat & toppings. I definitely recommend the Phantom Royal, Hot Chick or Jolly Green Giant. Also, you cant beat the breakfast here- both the Rude Awakening Pancakes and the Waldo/Odlaw are amazing! read more

As others have mentioned the service is slow. But that's probably the only bad thing about Moogy's. All the food is delicious and I'm never disappointed no matter what I order. While dinning in you can enjoy $1 busch light drafts over game of Sorry or Connect among others. And the thing that really puts Moogy's over the top is: 1. Breakfast all day and 2. delivery. And there is nothing better than getting french toast and eggs delivered to your door after 9pm. read more

In the midst of BC territory, the funky charm of Moogy's awaits. Yes, if you go on a Saturday before a BC football game you will witness 20 year old boys with gelled hair in suit jackets and t-shirts (a fashion trend I will never comprehend) chowing down their breakfasts with beers... so if kegs and eggs are not your idea of a fun time, go for a late lunch or early dinner. I'm a sucker for the relaxed vibe and crazy good french fries. (I'm fairly sure the fries have some illegal substance in them, because damn, they are good.) Sure, it's cheaper to go to McDonald's, a deli, or to make your own sandwich. But to me, it's worth the wait for food and the extra $3 you pay to hang out with friends in a cozy booth over a game of connect 4 with a $1 draft of Busch and a crazy-named sandwich. I feel like there should be more places like Moogy's, although I would probably be considerably larger if there were. I don't live in Brighton anymore but when I am in the area I always stop by. My only suggestion is to make it more diner-style and start using real plates and silverware... help out the environment and give less of a fast-food feel. After all, the food is made to order and it's not like it's been sitting under a heat lamp all day. read more

great psychadelic little cafe. good for the typical diner food. it's not waiter service though, you go up, order, wait, get your food, and sit. great place for weekend mornings when you are hungover! great friend food, chicken fingers, pancakes, and crazy different sandwiches. weak on the coffee and dessert selections. fun place! read more

This is our "go-to" place, especially for lazy weekend mornings. It's a cool, laid-back kind of place. DEFINITELY full of college students, so if you don't want to be around college students, then Moogy's is not for you. But, we've never had a problem with them there, so we like it. They have fun options for burgers, with all kinds of weird and yummy toppings. I'm a big fan of the Rueben Burger and sweet potato fries. Their cheese steak subs are also really good. But, if you are in the mood for breakfast, the absolute most delicious thing I've had here is The Love Child. omg, yum! It's a sandwich made of french toast and it has turkey, ham and swiss grilled inside. It's an awesomely delicious invention. read more

I really like Moogy's. It helps that it's right around the corner from my apartment, but the food is decent for this kind of dining. I thought the prices were okay. The staff was extremely friendly, and I really like the overall feel of the place. As a side note: I'm a big fan of the music selection. read more

This place has consistently good food, but sometimes it takes a little too long to prepare.

The food is pretty good. Not super spectacular, but definitely solid. It's a bit pricey and cash only, though they have an ATM which makes that a little easier. They have board games behind the bar, which is fun, and the dollar drafts are a definite plus. When school is on, it's a BC hangout, which can get pretty old if you're older than that. read more

Very disappointed in the way that they treat their customers. The breakfast was average, however when I brought it to the attention of the server that there was an issue in my omelet, the response I received was "It's not my problem", as she continued to serve other customers. If you're in the area, I would stay away from this place and go to Eagle's Deli instead. While the atmosphere is a little dull feeling, don't let that dissuade you from coming here for lunch or breakfast. The food is very reasonably priced and it taste pretty good. The people there were also very friendly to us. The fries were very tasty and our sandwiches tasted pretty good as well. I would recommend this place if you happen to be in the area. read more

This was an absolute nightmare. First of all the service is horrible, the place smelled like it hasn't been cleaned all weekend (me and my girl went on a monday). We shouldve left right then. I thought the food was mediocre while we were eating ( got a phantom royale and a turkey burger with curly fries) but the worst part came later that night for both of us. I'm writing this one day(24 hours) after we went. We both had horrendous nights, to include going to and from the bathroom all night and day. I puked about 3/4 times, about 8/10 hours after we ate and visited my bathroom many more times bc absolutely nothing will stay down to include water. I haven't gotten food poisoning or sick from food in a long time, but this is definitely the case. This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a food establishment in a very long time (and I've been to asia/Mexico and a few other third world countries). I literally should have listened to my inside voice when we first got there and left. I really hope that yelp doesn't bury this review bc it is 100% true. That's it read more
