Tried this place few times and decided to down grade few stars but decided on 4 stars due to their service and overall quality. Got the YukGyeJang and Sullungtang to go. It was well packed with side dishes and also rice and all the condiments. For the price I paid for YukGyeJang, there wasn't much. I'm not a big eater but felt still short of something. This was the same feeling Unhad when I was eating at the restaurant. Definitely smaller portion.. Sullungtang was cooled and left in the refrigerator to eat next day. We all know that it is beef bone marrow soup that hardens up when refrigerated. The ones from the Tofu House and also Mr Tang hardened up when I had them to go. The lady waitress was super friendly and gave us good advice since this was our first time. We ordered the oxtail broth soup and the spicy beef soup to share. Both soups were really bland. They gave us some sauces and other spices to add more flavor but no matter what I added, my oxtail soup just didn't have much flavor. It was good meat and noodles but very bland. We were able to get the spicy beef to have decent flavor but it was kind hard to get all the meat off the bones. Was very impressed with this place the first time I went and still was the second time. First off, the kimchi is so good! Definitely a highlight. I tried the beef rib soup the first time after the worker said they just made some so it was fresh. The right choice was made because it was very delicious and comforting. Second time I got the spicy pork belly soup which was also just as good. The workers here are super sweet. And how they package the leftovers/to-go orders is so nice. For my first experience here was unfortunately take out and from the glimpse I saw, service was great! I decided to tried Ox Tail Broth and omg it was so authentic and delicious. This is it!!! Alas, probably one of the closest authentic Korean restaurants we can find in Aurora. There is another spot for different dishes, but I will save that for their review. My husband and I have been waiting for a delicious Korean soup spot to go to during our cold winters and this is it. It may not be as good as Korea, but it's all we got. We've tried the Spicy Soondae soup, Seolleontang (ox bone soup) and Yukgaejang. All are quite satisfactory and we keep coming back for more. We enjoy their sides and we like their Soondae too. This was one of the best meals I had when I was in Denver! I got the sullungtang and my boyfriend got the galbitang. They were both freaking delicious. The sullungtang was so milky and smooth, perfectly salted. It was like a warm hug from your meal. The portion was perfect, it had green onions, glass noodles, and yummy beef brisket. This place is fire! And provides the perfect meal for cold winter weather. What could be better than a warm flavorful bowl of Korean soup?? This restaurant is around the corner from H-mart. It's super clean and new inside, including cute drawers at each table that hold the utensils. The man who greeted us at the door greeted most customers in Korean, and the shop was pretty busy for mid-week lunch, which we took to be a good sign. The menus on the table are in Korean, but he brought over the menus that included English and provided a super-welcoming introduction to all of the delicious options on the menu. The menu could have been a little confusing otherwise, though I don't think you can go wrong here. The banchan (kimchee radish and kimchee) were refreshing and delicious--the kimchee was so good we considered buying extra to take home (but right now I have too much kimchee at home...soon!). The soup was the perfect comfort food for a cold day--and it comes with rice so you can soak up all of the flavors! I loved the spicy pork belly broth. The beef rib soup was simple but stellar, though be forewarned that it took a bit more work (the ribs are big enough that you get tongs and scissors to deconstruct them, and they also come with a dipping sauce). Both bowls were really filling and had enough for leftovers. It was a little unclear at the end of the meal if we should wait for service or go up to the register to pay, but I honestly couldn't care less at that point because I was happily sated with soup. Authentic Korean food cannot get any better than this!! I live in Arvada so it's quite a trek to get here but it's 10000% worth it. The restaurant itself takes you to Korea, with the utensils and napkins all available in a sliding cabinet right under the table, the imos are greeting you in Korean and being playful and generous to your kiddos, and the soups are so rich, deep, and flavorful, like they should be. The kimchi is PHENOMENAL. They sell it by the bag (both kkakdugi and geotjeori) for $8.99 per bag. GET IT! We got the haejangguk and galbitang. They were both amazingly flavorful, although it isn't anywhere near the quality you get in Korea, it is definitely close enough for me. read more

First meal off my flight from the Bay Area and my bf & I decide to try Moobongri Soondae. Best decision ever. We looked at the menu and saw that they also have locations in SF, Oakland, other Bay Area cities which was awesome - I had a good feeling we were going to enjoy this cozy restaurant and yes, we definitely did! We got in on a Monday night and got seated right away. Our server who take care of us were quick and got our order in right away. About 10 minutes later, two bowls of steaming goodness came out and we were ready to indulge! I ordered the Spicy Beef Brisket Soup and my bf ordered the Spicy Pork Neck Bone Broth - our jaws dropped when his bowl came out because it was a huge piece of pork neck sitting in the middle of the soup. They give you small tongs to get around the pork neck which made it fun to eat. Both soups were amazing and perfect for the cold weather in Denver. For those who have never tried soelleontang before, the soup comes out plain (with whatever protein you order it with). You can try the broth as is and then use the condiments on the table to season it to your liking. Soondae, aka Korean blood sausage, is another speciality here.
