I keep going back to this restaurant. Even with a simple salad, the chef tries to present the food beautifully and I feel the menu provides good value for the money. Adel, the owner, is attentive and friendly. Linda, my favourite server, will (humorously) give you a hard time, but she's a lot of fun. Mohammed (sp?), the chef, works hard to ensure everything is perfect. I dine here every couple of weeks, and I wouldn't go back if it wasn't good. Went in here tonight for a late dinner. Place is cozy with booths and tables. Server was pleasant but not overly friendly, she didn't have much to say. We ordered the Falafel pita sandwich/salad and the signature Montfort Chicken pita. Both came out within 20 minutes but the plates and sauces didn't seem fresh. My Montfort chicken sandwich wasn't that great, the chicken didn't seemed overcooked (a bit dry) and the tzatziki sauce to put on was too runny and not that flavourful, and they only give you a tiny cup of it. The pita bread was the best part and tasted the freshest. The falafel sandwich was not bad, with the falafel ball being crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The salad that came with it was good. I noticed they have a belly dancing dinner show every now and then, that may be interesting to check out one night in order to take my mind off the so-so food dishes. read more

we called like 20+ restaurants to make a reservation but they were all fully booked @montfortmediterraneangrill had space, thankfully. We had their soup, French onion & lemon chicken. Restaurant has some **halal** stuff on the menu. The only disappointment was the dessert, tasted old and they happily took it back. read more

Went there on March 18 around 4pm and it was empty. Bought 2 chicken shawarmas for 9.99 each. Total came out to 22.59. Paid with credit card. Girl asked if we needed receipt. I said no. This was an order for take out. Saw a few days later the girl who served us decided to tip herself making the posted transaction on my credit card to be 25.14. Seriously lol? Really pathetic. If anyone chooses to go here, buyer beware - clearly the waitresses aren't making enough money. read more

Given the overall positive reviews, I was a little disappointed. The chicken pitas were small with no added vegetables, mind you a very small amount of lettuce. I was expecting tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, etc but that may have been my fault because the menu didn't specify having these toppings included. However, we were also not given the option to add them (not sure if that's standard). The eggplant pita had great flavour but the eggplant itself was refrigerator cold. We also got the Greek fries, but for $9 was again disappointed in the serving size. We asked for extra garlic sauce on the side of the pitas and ended up drizzling this on because the advertised Montfort sauce seemed to be lacking. For 4 pitas, a small garden salad, and the side order of Greek fries our total came to $61.82. Will just continue going to the Montfort Express location for takeout in Hamilton, it's a favourite and always top-notch! read more

Monforts is, and has been my go-to mediterranean food stop for years. I have literally never had a bad meal here! I have too many favourites - including the falafel, the shawarma, the chicken and pineapple, as well as all of the salads. The chicken is always tender and fresh, spiced just right for the meal. I also love that the falafel is not greasy, it is also spiced just right and tastes really good in a wrap. There is also something about the rice - it's really smooth and tasty! Everything always comes up fresh and the portions are large enough to have you feeling full! It's so great for a late night snack, or a late dinner because - well it is open late! Service is friendly and I enjoy the mediterranean decor. It's not the most modern place, but I like that it keeps the authenticity. The prices are good for the amount of food and the quality of the food you receive. Monforts will be a place I return to for years to come, and I always bring guests that are looking for a good mediterranean meal there as well. Keep up the great work Monforts! read more

I came here around 10:30 PM and there was only one waitress and the cook. The waitress was attentive and very patient when my indecisive friend took his turn to order. The ambiance is nice and relaxed + their washrooms are clean! Their late night dinner menu is somewhat cheaper than there regular sized menu. Their shawarma and rice was passable with loads of chicken ... but their rice seemed like instant rice? Their sweet potato fries were crisp and ... sweet. I'll definitely come back as they also do sport a full bar + decent food. read more

Went there on a tuesday evening it wasnt busy. Took 40 minutes for us to get our dinners. My monfort chicken was dry over cooked. Waitress was nice but on her cell phone texting at the bar while we tried to get her attention to ask what the hold up was. Very disapointed!! Burlington brant st. Is way better. read more

Montfort's is a hidden gem would definatly recommend over any other Mediterranean restaurant. The service is divine and the food is freshly prepared and comes promptly to the table. I've been a regular here and have never been disappointed! I always leave with a smile and full belly. read more

Undercooked chicken wings, literally still bleeding a 1/4" from bone although I did eat the cooked parts I made a point to show the waitress. What I got was an offer for a free dessert. Yippee, a store bought dessert for chicken wings that you pay $13 for 6 wings. Not even an apology and they still showed up on the bill. Most places would have removed them and apologized profusely. Fountain soda, still charge for each and every glass, I didn't know restaurants still did that and I visit many restaurants. Pretty disappointed actually as I expected a lot more considering the food court Montfort at Center Mall is too notch. Guess I'll stick to the food court. read more

Terrible. I ordered the lamp plate. The beef was so dry and had no taste. The kebab was not cooked properly. Their shawarma is so greasy. Their chicken breast is fine. Other than that i could not digest the meal and got sick. It was also very expensive and not worth it at all. read more

My favourite shawarma place hands down. Had the chicken shawarma pita and my boyfriend had the chicken shawarma dish. We usually come later at night past 10pm and it's not usually stupid busy (good for us because the food comes out fast and fresh), and the servers are constantly checking up on us which is what I like. Got everything we asked for, food was good, service was good. Clean restaurant as well. Probably the only restaurant in Hamilton that is opened until 4 as well. Give them a call if you plan to go here after midnight! read more
