Montana's BBQ in Kelowna is a popular place on a Saturday evening. A mix of families with kids, those on date night, friends catching up over a meal..., it's all to be found in this restaurant. It's clear they cater to families hence the little bucket with multi colored crayons for kids of all ages. The waitress scribbled her name upside down, so we wouldn't forget her name; it was obvious she'd done this quite a few times. Writing upside down like a pro. The menu looks tasty, prices are reasonable. I'm not a chain restaurant person, but I didn't mind Montana. Plus: my dinner companion does like chains, so it's give and take. This town also doesn't have a lot of individually owned restaurants. A chain on Saturday evening it was, and we didn't regret. I had a craving for spareribs. Not sure what sauce to choose. I thought it was rather clever to put bottles with the offered sauces on the table, so one can sample before ordering. I ordered half rack with French fried and coleslaw( your typical sparerib meal. My companion ordered spare ribs plus chicken wings and a loaded baked potato. Those wings must've been really good, because he didn't offer me any. I was just in time to take a quick picture of his food, but the corn bread had already disappeared from both plates. I think it's safe to say that's a good sign. Let's talk spare ribs. These were the juiciest, meat-falls-of-the-bone ribs I've had in a very long time. I'm not a big eater, but that half rack disappeared fairly quickly. French fries were crispy and delicious, I didn't finish 1/3 because the main star of my plate was that rack of ribs. The cole slaw left me unimpressed, an underwhelming little bowl of tasteless slaw. Obviously there was no room for dessert, I'm giving this place a 5 star for this experience. It's not gourmet, but the quality and service was good. Will definitely return when visiting kelowna.

Maybe I'm biased because I'm from Texas and this place is trying to be an American country restaurant, but it was just ok. The interior is very rich with wood, fireplaces, and random things hanging from the ceiling, like a car with its lights on. The service was friendly but incredibly slow. The slow service really killed it for us. We hadn't planned on spending hours at lunch, and we didn't expect such slow service when the place was mostly empty. The food was ok. The ribs were quite fatty but the apple bbq sauce was good. The cornbread was the best thing we had. The salad was ok and the chicken dish (I think Greek chicken or Mediterranean chicken... something like that) was also ok. This was our second visit to Montana's, since it is convenient on our path from the airport and toward Summerland. I think in the future, I'm going to opt for a different local restaurant. The just 'ok' meal just wasn't worth almost 2 hours of my time. One positive note: They have free Wifi! Just ask for the password and it works great!

Restaurant is quaint, service efficient, food average. Sirloin was stiff and chewy. Not the best I had. I cook better steak at home

We booked a Happy Hour reservation for the long Sunday Easter long weekend at 4:30pm and we were the first to arrive. As Salt & Brick has an evolving fresh sheet menu, you never know what's on the menu but they usually have a few staples like their Brussel sprouts. As this was my boyfriend's first time here, we ordered the Brussell sprouts with popcorn and the Rigatoni. We were given the regular menu but did inquire about Happy Hour and the Brussel sprouts, pastas, and charcuterie board were on special. Unfortunately, they didn't have any oysters available that day. Small cozy atmosphere with a cute front porch. It's a small bar and kitchen that you can see and wonderful that you see and hear all the food being freshly made to order. Our server was friendly, chatty, and attentive but also gave us our space too. The Brussel sprouts served with cheddar popcorn, grapes, and ripped beer cheese is a bit salty, sweet, and so satisfying! My partner doesn't love Brussel sprouts but really enjoyed this dish. The Rigatoni was a bit rich with a nettle became sauce but served with the earthy lily spears, it was a well rounded dish altogether that we also enjoyed. Cute restaurant on the Downtown main strip that isn't a major chain, which is refreshing. Will continue to visit next time in town and hopefully they will have oysters then!

We took advantage of the opportunity and ordered the sashimi and tataki, both of which were melt in your mouth delicious! Our lunch at the Kelowna Moxies on Cooper was great this afternoon. The place was renovated in January 2022, so it's quite new and up to date with all the modern look you'd expect. Turns out, you can also expect a great meal with very good service that doesn't take very long. Our server was engaging, funny, and a Leafs fan. I guess you can't have it all lol. My Avocado Bacon Cobb salad was a departure for me, and excellent. The lovely K had the Pork Miso Ramen, which was also great. Only drawback for me, was that menu illustrated the dish with a runny egg, which was not the case. A small quibble perhaps, but a little detail like that tells you how close they got to making it perfect. We'll most certainly be back!

The space is huuuuge and very clean and posh looking. I got a watermelon sangria and the chicken lettuce wraps and loved both. The watermelon sangria was definitely on the watermelon side which was nice from tasting the deep notes of a red wine sangria. Refreshing! The chicken lettuce wraps are from the appetizers but I was full by the end of it and they were so flavourful even without the sauce (but I'm a sauce boss and loved the sauce on top too) We ended on a great big slice of mocha ice cream cake and lemme tell you this cake rivals my favourite Dairy Queen ice cream cake

(Bibimbap) and some true Italian (Gnocchi and homemade Pasta) with the rest being slight variants of both. We had the Burrata salad with greens and roasted and fresh tomatoes (nicely skinned) with Pesto, Pune Nuts and a balsamic dressing. It was beautiful but needed more salt and acid to tame down the Burrata. Still a nice salad. We split the Patate Fritte which was fried potatoes and gnocchi with a really flavorful Chipotle Mayo. The whole dish didn't work. The gnocchi were over fried and too small to eat with the much larger potatoes which were also underdone. The Tuna Poke Bowl was very nice (and a good deal) with all of the usual components. The Salmon was cooked perfectly (crispy on the outside slightly translucent inside ) and came with a wasabi cream, lots of roasted veggies (potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans) and somewhat random things like cornichons, caper berries, and beets. The whole thing worked but would have been better with some editing. I personally wanted more wasabi in the cream and wished that it didn't get watered down by all the veggies. They have a nice cocktail list and a decent list of wines by the glass, several local all fairly priced. The place is modern looking with windows overlooking downtown streets in two sides. The place is very modern with lots of metal and concrete and consequently lots of energy and lots of noise. I see this as a great space for a bunch of friends, less so for a romantic dinner. Overall I liked this place. It could be better and I would return. I love what they are aiming for.
