Dear future suitor, please take me here for our first date! I can't imagine a better segue to a second date than friendly (or not so friendly) competition throwing axes, darts, playing tic tac toe (with AXES) or with arcade games. I will try to be better than you and if I'm not, will absolutely blame it on all the craft beers I've had. We can laugh about it over Square Peg pizza (the one with arugula, prosciutto and figs) and plot on date two. Not sure how you're gonna top this one though.

I nailed it! Throwing Axe is FUN!!!

What a fun, exciting and friendly Place! My first time there I didn't know I needed a reservation but they were so kind and professional they hooked me up with an instructor named Isaiah who was so knowledgeable safe and fun and give me a private session. I have always wanted to try X throwing it's not as easy as it looks not as dangerous as either they are very safe there they guide you through the whole process I encourage you during the breaks you're welcome to have a beer how do you say yes! I have been a second time and my second time was also great I met some new people and we competed against each other with the staff encouraging us and making sure everything was done right. It really is a great stress reliever 75 minutes of throwing an axe it's like the best pillow fight of your life but safer!

Date Night on a Saturday ! I had such a great time with my boyfriend, daughter and my daughter's best friend. Our axe master "Nugget " was very professional, helpful and a good time (although he cheated for the other team lol) we met some new people and enjoyed the games. My only downfall was the food. The pizza was good. However, none of us likes the cheesy garlic bread or the chicken wings. We were all disappointed!

DANG good Nepoletana style pizza!! Plus axe throwing!? What could go wrong?

Throwing axes and really good pizza. Feel like an Italian axe throwing marauder!!! The drinks are mostly canned but they feature a lot of great local micro breweries. Pizza is from Square Peg and is on par with Frank Pepes. Staff is more than willing to teach you how to throw a brutal axe.

I've been to this establishment twice. Both times have been great experiences. The staff is super low key , but helpful. The most recent time I was there "baby yoda" or Isaac showed us how to throw and helped us with our games. He was attentive and made sure we were safe but also fueled our competitive nature. He kept score and smack talked both teams it was a great time.

Their location is a short drive off of I-95 and Route 8, so it was the perfect meeting place. Nate was our Axe Master and he was great! He was a great teacher and despite it being busy toward the end of our visit, he always came around to check in with us. The venue is nice and spacious, each throwing section has two targets and a dedicated table, so we had plenty of space to comfortably enjoy our two-hour slot. It's BYOB & BYOF, so you can bring everything you like! To top it all off, they had a great playlist to jam out to.

They offered bottle openers, cups, and ice which we used. They also provided instruction and watched as we tried it out and gave pointers where needed. They also came by several times during our time to ask if we needed anything. They also sprayed the boards with "magic juice" which we were sure would improve our scores. We astigmatism he could spray us to give us some magic. There was some trepidation among the 10 I mean my god we are throwing axes!!!! Eventually we all got the hang of it and everyone made great shots. We had so much fun we stayed an extra hour. Thanks Blue Ox for a great night!

I'm so in love with you I'll be your saviour, steadfast and true I'll come to your emotional rescue" (Jagger and Richards) A professional organization I belong to was scheduled to hold an axe throwing party/charity fundraiser at Pine & Iron in Hartford last night. But two and a half days ago, they contacted us to cancel because they had closed their doors for good. We didn't want to cancel the event, so what were we to do? Well, Montana Nights came to our rescue and 20 of us had a blast. Our Guardian Angel was manager Carolyn, who worked in a slot for our group, arranged an instructor, pizza and sandwiches from Square Peg, and drink tickets from their bar (beer and axes, what could go wrong?). Anyway, we had a freaking blast at Montana Nights. Our instructor Kyle was great. He gave us a safety talk, demonstrated one hand and two hand throwing techniques, and broke us into two teams for some axe flinging fun. We threw at a conventional bulls eye target, an unconventional bulls eye target where the center moved around, and Tic Tac Toe and Connect Four variations. I threw ten axes in warm ups, and then 20 axes in two ten-frame 4-person team contests. I stuck one out of ten in the warm ups, just one in Game #1, but improved significantly by sticking 4 in the second game. I even had a center Bulls Eye!! By the way, the food from Square Peg was great - lots of different pizzas, grinders cut into fours, and a big salad. Thank you Carolyn and Kyle for saving our event. It was a charity collection event where our members donated new clothing, toys, and household supplies for Madonna House in Norwich, CT. I would love to see Yelp incorporate more of some sort of charity collections at our events. Sort of a "Pay It Forward" philosophy. Everyone can afford to bring a few cans of soup or tuna to donate to a group that needs them.

We picked a location that was the midpoint between my home in Connecticut and my parents' home in New York City. We couldn't have chosen a better place than Banana Cabana! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a staff member (I wish I had caught her name) who greeted us with a big smile. She gave an excellent demonstration on how to properly throw an axe, let us practice a few rounds, and provided helpful tips on positioning our arms and legs for the best results. The venue had a great drink menu with plenty of options, including non-alcoholic beer. We also loved the variety of games available Battleship was a favorite! Another fun touch was the TouchTunes music system, where we could purchase credits and play our favorite songs. We definitely took advantage of that! Overall, we had an amazing time and will 100% be returning if we're ever in the area again.

We drove a long distance to we went in to learn to throw some Axes. They seemed a bit short staff but in good spirits I saw a tiki bar and they had scannable QR codes on the tables but they bar and food options where closed as well so missed opportunity there. Axe throwing definitely will make you thirsty we did the 1 Hr option and would've signed up for more if there was a food and beverage option there. Only thing I didn't like is you pay for an hour but the staff started the timer before hand so we didn't get an actual hour they started the timer and then explained the rules to us and showed us how to throw it would make sense to do the tutorial and then start the timer once we are ready or once they are done explaining. All in all it was a fun experience with our group of friends definitely fun to do.
