A Memorable Taste of Butte's History…read more From the moment we walked into Casasgrandas Steakhouse, the setting felt special. Housed in a rustic copper mining-era building featuring original wood floors and fantastic period decor, the atmosphere effortlessly bridges Butte's rich history with a welcoming, cozy dining environment. The meal kicked off with the included soup and salad courses, both exceptional. The chicken and rice soup was clearly made in-house--wholesome, rich, and comforting. The salad arrived crisp and fresh, topped with crunchy homemade croutons and a bright, zesty citrus poppy seed dressing that was a delightful surprise. For our main courses, we ordered the Top Sirloin with the Shrimp Scampi: * Top Sirloin: Prepared perfectly to order, wonderfully tender, and packed with classic steakhouse flavor. * Shrimp Scampi: The absolute highlight of the evening. It featured five large, succulent prawns swimming in a rich, generous scampi sauce--ideal for dredging the table bread through. The side of pasta in a savory tomato sauce complemented it beautifully. To top off an already fantastic evening, they offered a scoop of huckleberry fudge ice cream for just a dollar. It was the perfect local sweet touch to end on. Overall, Casasgrandas delivered top-tier comfort, incredible value, and a truly memorable dinner. We will definitely be back!

Kinda amazing in a town of 900 in Montana in the shadow of its better known cousins (Bozeman and…read moreWest Yellowstone), Ennis Montana is home to The Continental Divide restaurant. Our meal tonight was pretty much perfect. The restaurant set back off 287 just in front of the Ennis RV Resort. Understated interior with big windows looking out on the Madison range. Not many tables so a reservation likely a good idea. Paced our service, no one rushing us. Our reservation was for 6:30 and we left around 9:30. Wonderful, seasonal menu, that proudly presents both Wagyu and Montana beef at its finest. Had a hard time making choices as there's so many items on the menu, I'd love to try. I did pass on the oysters that are flown in every day. But that was very tempting. I ended up going with the golden beet salad, which was outstanding with a raspberry vinaigrette. For my main course I couldn't help but go for the elk loin, two beautifully cooked rib on loins medium rare. Incredibly tasty and tender. For dessert we sampled the lemon cake and the flourless chocolate tart, both mouthwatering. There's a really nice wine selection that offers both by-the-glass and bottles. Amazingly found a 2017 Heitz Cellars Marthas Vineyard cab that paired up stunning with our elk and filet mignon. Entrees included tender but crisp asparagas and wonderful spaghetti squash. The food was ethereal, and the service was wonderful, always there butt not intrusive. I'm a huge fan of this place after just one visit, and trying to come up with excuses to come back.

Call for reservations because this popular spot fills up quick. This is an intimate dining…read moreexperience. The chef's came to everyone's table to discuss the menu and presentation of the gorgeous dishes. The lavender honey butter with the fresh bread was unique but so good. Fresh ingredients on every dish. Everything was plated well and tasted just as good. A family of antelope walked by the big window as we ate. Very cool. The menu changes often , so be sure to try all the unique fresh dishes.

Wow! Wow, wow, wow!…read more Wife and I stopped by for lunch on our way back from Yellowstone to Bozeman airport and it was worth the stop! We had lunch and this is a special place. The entire setting - land, building, etc. was awesome. I wish we would have gone for dinner and experienced that! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I had the burger and wife had the salmon. Both were perfect! Topped it off with a beer and a glass of wine and it ended up being an amazing lunch. We will be back if ever in the area.

Our server was efficient, he brought us a pitcher of water after we quickly downed our first glasses. We ordered 3 burgers and the steak sandwich. The burgers and fries were all great. The steak sandwich had maybe 2oz of meat on it and a few arugula leaves. We called attention to the measly sandwich with the waiter...like surely this can't be right for $33? He didn't act like it was unusual, but offered to swap it out for another burger at our request. I wish I would've taken photo of it, because it was comical. Especially next to the huge burger and huge turkey club sandwiches they were bringing out. There were a LOT of flies and bees around our table constantly. All other tables had one of those fly fans on them, but we didn't get one. The flies were abundant and annoying. This was the first meal we've eaten at Big Sky, so I can't say whether or not we would return. Perhaps at dinner. It has a great reputation. But I wouldn't order the steak sandwich again.
