Do not host your kids birthday party here! Been to countless bday party venues in the area, and this was by far the worst experience. The place is very well decorated and has a creative monster/haunted house theme with black lights, which creates a fun impression when first walking in. Sadly, the fun ended there. Staff gave very poor direction and guidance, and the worst part was the laser room. They had kids from the party line up, my child waited a long time for this, then the young staff person abruptly closed it down without explanation, making the long wait a disappointing waste of time as half of the kids did not get to participate. Even before it was closed down, it was a frustrating experience as there was no explanation of how the game was supposed to be played. Then there was the miniature golf, which was really just a mad rush of kids from the party mixed with kids with other groups, aimlessly knocking balls around with no direction or structure from staff. The whole thing just felt like they were rushing people through from one activity to the next, with many parents and kids feeling confused and frustrated. The place appeared to be run by teenagers, which was likely part of the reason for the poor quality of service and activities. Although I live in Columbia I've never known about existing of this place, My Friends found this place on their Facebook suggestion places to go and have asked to give it a try all together, after some research and checking their website I figured to go there after I get off at work! The tickets are $9 per adult and the thing I noticed that was they charged Taxes on top of the entrance fee of mini golf???? Tax supposed to be included in that price not excluded! The staff were nice and friendly tho but inside was too dark, loud, too hot and depressing! The mini golf wasn't so much fun some holes were fun the rest were the same! It's like super small version of mini little Dave&Busters instead of Bowling they've got Mini Golf! However D&B is100 times more fun and addictive! Always fun. The place is kind of small so it can get crowded pretty quickly. We got here around 3p on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded but by the time we got halfway through the place was packed. Things can get a little backed up but it's not too bad. They frequently have BOGO coupons which is awesome, but even without the coupon the prices are still extremely reasonable. I took my son here on hid 5th birthday, and now I wish I had thrown his party here too! This place is SO cool. Arcade games, 18 hole "glow in the dark" putt putt. And the staff were SO nice, it was a Monday so probably one of their less crowded nights. I casually shared that it was my son's birthday and they were so kind to him the entire time we were there. Never quite seen a mini golf place like this, so it is definitely a little unique. its nice that everything is indoors for hot or cold days and is something good to do when the weather isn't cooperating. The courses were decently challenging, but honestly I'm not a huge fan of all the monsters and not really sure what that brings to the table. It was fun though and there is also an arcade area with some nice games, air hockey table, and also a chance to win some prizes. My friends and I will sometimes come here to hang out and it's a pretty great place. The course isn't difficult but not super easy and it's really cheap for one game especially if you use the 2 people for 1 coupons. The also have a trivia session every hour or so and you win small prizes like plastic rings or bracelets. They also have a mini arcade inside as well. The bad thing is that it's very small area and if you have a huge group, it can take a while so there might be a lot of waiting for the previous group to finish. Just the thing to break up the monotony of a Saturday afternoon. Great time whipping the pants off of some friends and family in miniature golf (even if they did cheat a lil bit). Colorfully decorated and animated decor that captures your attention while you're waiting on the slow-pokes in front of you to finish. It is a very family friendly atmosphere with attendants who periodically hold games to keep the patrons engaged. Parking was not an issue. Even on a Saturday it was a decent amount of people golfing but not too many that you'd be annoyed. There are arcade games for those who may not want to golf. They are also available to host birthday parties and even offer those who serve a military discount. The wasn't a lot of ventilation and it did get a wee bit warm as this is an indoor facility. I liked how they had the exits clearly marked in the event of an emergency. Although I won we were given one ticket to return for the rematch. We celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday here! It was our first time here but as soon as I made the reservation, I was contacted by staff to review the details of the party. About a week prior to the party, I was contacted again to go over details and the staff answered all questions/concerns I had. Super easy process and the staff takes charge of the party from the beginning, playing games and keeping the kids entertained. Prizes were given to the little party games they played. We had pizza, cupcakes, nuggets, and juice! One particular perk is that they don't charge an outside food fee. So you can order pizza through the party or you can bring in as little or as much other food as you want. After cake, the group was escorted to the mini golf area and parents are free to play as well. Once mini golf was done, the party came with arcade cards, so each kid got a few bucks to play in the arcade. My daughter and her friends loved it and everything that glowed in the dark! Who the hell is this place designed for? Certainly it is not children as all of the "Monster" imagery would give them nightmares for weeks. And it certainly could not be adults because the actual mini-golf is about as challenging and creative as putting across my carpet into a tipped over drinking glass. Seriously, about 4 or 5 of the holes have unique features and the rest are exactly the same. "Hey Ted, what'd you get on hole #7?" "Ummm, was that the one where it was flat and you had to hit around a corner past the casket sticking out of the ground?" "No, it was the one where you had to hit around the corner past two caskets sticking out of the ground." "No, that was hole #5, I think it was the one that you had to hit around two corners..." Ok so we were looking for something fun to do indoors because it is hot and humid out in these parts and my hari just cant take it anymore, lol. So I got a Groupon for this place, 50% off of a round of golf for 4 people for 18 bucks, not bad right. Anyway Im glad I didnt pay full price for this place. I mean it was ok and my daughters kind of enjoyed it, but it lacked in alot of areas. First it was kind of small and we were bunched up at every hole with others playing. The holes are not that challenging and it takes like 30 seconds to play each hole. We would have been in and out of there in less than 20 minutes if there were no one in front of us. Secondly, the games they had in there besides golf were quite lame. Speaking of lame, the person in the radio DJ booth was really good if you like horrible things. Third, the monster theme is not that great to begin with and it felt really cheesy with all the paintings on the walls that looked like 5 years olds did. NOTE: the Frankenstein that comes alive randomly was pretty cool though. Lastly, this place was an ok place to come to if you have no other plans and you are looking to stay indoors. Great time out. Found some tickets for $18.00 for 4 people. That was a deal I could not pass on. Once there it was great. Plenty of large groups were playing on Saturday night. After waiting 30 mins until my group was called, it was a great time. The glow in the dark monster theme just adds to the fun and make for great pics. I also noticed they had a party room for the kiddie parties. It's not Dave and Busters so don't be disappointed when you see all the 1990's style video games. It was my birthday, so my boyfriend told me I got to pick the date place. Many outdoor mini golf venues haven't opened up for the season yet, so we chose Monster Mini Golf. Overall the place was cool looking and a fun date. Some of the holes were pretty challenging, but it made for some friendly competition. I would've given less stars for my actual golfing experience, but the customer service saved my review! For 4pm on a Thursday, there was a good amount of people there. Granted I know it's a mini golf venue and there will be kids there, but it seemed to get a bit out of hand. A group of about 7 kids behind us kept skipping holes and somehow always ended up right on our heels. I know it's not an ideal date location, but my boyfriend and I paid $10 each to enjoy our experience just like everyone else. Before I could even say anything, an employee came over and helped to round the kids up and asked them to give us some space. It was done very nicely and I wish the parents would've done the same. Kind of pricey for a simple mini golf course. I guess you're paying more for the experience of the black light/glow in the dark effect which is definitely cool especially since we went close to Halloween. Like I said, the course was pretty simple but still fun if you're competitive like my bf and me! There were some less than well behaved children running around but we let them pass us and it was fine after that. Even on a Saturday afternoon, there was no line for the course which was nice so we just went ahead and played, the whole thing took about 30-45 minutes. The holes were pretty challenging, too. Overall the kids had a fun time here. As with all businesses, training your staff to welcome customers should be a priority. The enthusiasm of the staff was pretty low. The staff could make the place a four star experience. The arcades are designed to entice the kids to win tickets but with all such businesses, they are not going to win enough tickets to get any high end prizes, but even still I think my kids still were excited. On three occasions the machines had no tickets left to pay off and the ticket counter broke twice which was confusing for them. Last weekend I went to Monster Mini golf with my nephews and niece since we had nothing to do on such a freezing cold weekend. We were all so excited to be indoors and to do something different and active. As soon as we walked through the door the kids were so excited and thought it was the "coolest place". The kids' ages range from 3 to 7 yrs old and all of them had a blast; I'm the BEST aunt! I really appreciate that I could afford to take all the kids out for the day. We all found the course fun and it kept even my 3 year old nephew entertained. The staff was friendly and helpful as we tried to get ready to golf and also when it was time to get prizes with our tickets. They all want to know when we can go back for a rematch. A very fun place to practice some putting skills. If you ever have some free time and looking for some fun competition you will find it at Monster Golf without monster prices. They do offer military discounts and you do not have to worry about scorching in the hot sun or rain putting a downer on your plans as the place is inside and the ac is definitely working. There are party rooms and there is plenty of room for a group outing as myself along with coworkers came here on a previous excursion. Parking can be a bit tight but to be honest I have no idea where the drivers for the other cars were at as there were only about nine people playing mini golf. Girlfriend wanted to do something different from the norm so she popped up and kidnapped me here. The location isn't the best, near the warehouse district of Jessup, MD near the truck stop, but that's where the cons stop. Once inside black light and neon popping images everywhere, staff was polite & quick. Ticket winning games for the normal Chuck-E-Cheese esq prizes. But the 18 hole course is actually pretty challenging, but holes are about 4 times to size of the balls (for the kiddies). At random intervals they give out prizes based on the color of the golf balls that putters are using. They host parties in a room resemblance of the kitchen scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There isn't a lot of creativity here - if you want to hit the ball here and there it's ok, but most of the holes did not feel unique in any way whatsoever. Otherwise it was fine. We love this place! It's wonderful in all weather. For the past three years we have purchased annual passes and are at the course every week. Monster MG is neat - in theory. It's fun, sure... But it suffers from the same things that many other indoor courses suffer from - it's just not that fun. It's completely flat, and it has 90 degree turns throughout (so they can fit more in a small space). There aren't too many obstacles. Even though they have monsters decorating the place - they aren't used as obstacles. This could've been done much better... Still fun, I guess, but not all that. read more

I recently visited Monster Mini Golf for a child's birthday party and I must admit, even though I am not a fan of putt putt, I liked it here as did my little guy, at least at first. Picture it, glow in the dark mini golf with about 50 holes surrounded by ghosts and ghouls. It was kinda cool but what I loved was the music, a mashup of 80s, 90s, and 00s pop songs taking me wayy back to my heydays ...b/c I'm "that" old. There were lots of arcade-esque games and machines lining the building and token machines, think glow in the dark Chuck E Cheese without the mouse of course. The party room and hosts were lots of fun. The room is decc'd out with creepy trimmings, skeletons and pictures of scary clowns with eyes that follow you (eek, I hate clowns!) The room very spacious and ample seating for about a party of 40. Monster Mini Golf fit the birthday girl to a tee *pun intended*, she's in love with those weird Monster High dolls and she was turning 7 so the ambiance wasn't scary at all to her. My little guy (4 year old) however didn't fancy the "moo hoo hahahahaha" sounds coming from hidden speakers or the werewolf figures positioned throughout the mini golf section. He did enjoy the arcade games and glow in a dark-ness, so I wouldn't suggest this place for the 5 and under, lest you parents want to allow the kiddos to bunk a night (or two) with you. All in all, a fun place. I didnt get a feel for pricing and I don't believe there was food on the premises so I give MMG a 3 because it was cool for the first hour after that, the music was the only thing about enjoyable. read more

I LOVED this place for 8 - 14 year old kids, especially boys. It's really well decorated and everything looks crisp and new after their recent renovation. They have tons of video games as well as the mini golf course (indoor - great for hot summer days!) and a birthday party room.
