My Dad taught me the basics about Golf when I was a kid. He started playing when he was an adolescent living on the South side of Chicago. He's always enjoyed the game and after years, almost 30 to be exact, I finally picked up the game myself. I mainly play with clients, but I do genuinely enjoy playing. Sometimes Dad and I get out and play 9 or 18 holes when we both have time. All that said, this past Labor Day my Dad invited me to hit a bucket or two with him at Arundel Golf Park. We both had a really good time at AGP! The driving range is better than some of the other local ranges in the area. I particularly liked the system they have that tees the ball up for you. Simply pour your golf balls into the feeder and it tees them up one drive at a time. You can even choose how high or low you want the ball to sit. It's a great feature! There's also a nice mini golf (putt putt) course and a "pro shop" as well. Dad was able to get his club regripped on the spot for less than $10 if I remember correctly! He told me that he had to wait a few weeks when he got the same service at another local driving range in Anne Arundel County. Overall we had a great time bonding, swapping golf stories and catching up. Thank you Arundel Golf Park for being the scene of an awesome Labor Day afternoon with my Father! Your team is excellent and we really enjoyed ourselves. I'm sure we'll be back one day soon. read more

If you plan on using a power tee, be prepared to have to stand and wait in the walkway and eagerly watch for someone to leave. There are groups of patrons that seemingly forever reserve the power tee stalls by placing clubs in empty bays. They also seem to spend hours on end there. As other posters have mentioned, the balls are old and very used. It is an extremely crowded driving range, so it makes sense that the balls are worn out most of the time. Other post replies indicate that they change them twice a year. I have gone during the cold, but the heaters did not seem to be on, or the ones I tried did not seem to work. There were some plastic dividers up that blocked the wind, but it was not at all a warmed environment, and I did try turning the timers to no avail. The stalls on the ground level that i usually go to that are not power tees since they are rarely available do not have any plastic dividers up. Some of the staff are very pleasant and easy to talk to, while others I would prefer to have to never interact with. I've had previous jobs as a salesman, and my feeling is that some of the staff simply don't like talking to people or whatever..not really sure. It feels as if they are judging you a worthy patron or not. I've had money burning a hole in my pocket, but I just got the repeated feeling of being an inconvenience or not worthy of their attention. So, I don't buy anything other than tokens. Even so, the last time I was there, I tried to buy more than $200 worth of range balls, and I was told the key fob machine was down with a "sorry" and that was that. After all has been said and done, I have decided to take my business elsewhere as I do not feel welcome at all. I may go back to spend my remaining eight tokens, but only if the gate is open, so I am not forced to walk through the proshop as I feel extremely uncomfortable around certain staff. Currently, the side gate is closed, forcing one to walk through the proshop to get to the range. My experience is entirely my own. I gave the place three stars because if it wasn't for the unpleasant staff experience, I would be happy to continue to go to this range despite its shortcomings, although I have found another range nearby with better balls that is far less crowded. It is a bit more expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Arundel golf park was a nice surprise! We were looking for a mini golf place nearby and Arundel golf park showed up as the only place within reasonable driving distance. The place is a little outdated, and not the nicest facilities, but it serves its purpose. The mini golf course is good and taken care of enough that you can enjoy 18 holes of mini golf without issues. The clubs and golf balls looked a little old, but still very much so usable. From the looks of it, the driving range looked pretty decent. The batting cages were said to be closed because of airport requests. read more

First off - The range balls are in terrible shape!! Virtually no dimples left and they will scratch up your clubs. They do apparently get new balls every year but with the amount of traffic this place gets, I'm not sure its enough. With that being said, this place is still really good. Covered and heated range is great as well as the staff. The automatic tees are a game changer. Putting green is terrible but that's okay. If you want a place to hit balls in the winter, this is your place. read more

Very disrespected. Yesterday I was brought to your establishment by a friend, we left golf galaxy and he specifically said "hey you work over his way, you need to go to this place. It has a great facility and full pro-shop inside where you can try out clubs, and purchase." I went with no expectations but thought that it was ingenious, considering most open ranges just offer balls and a place to smack them around. I should give you a bit of background, I have been golfing most of my life. I'm 32 and my friend is 35, he's a scratch golfer and I would say I'm anywhere between a 6-8 handicap. I don't know all the lingo, grain of shafts, shafts itself, degrees of the club face, so on and so forth. My friend on the other hand does, which is why my friend said it's time to start getting you fitted for clubs to your specific body type and strength. (Some of my clubs were handed to me from my father- also a scratch golfer) My friend and I are covered in tattoos, I have a huge full beard and yesterday being Sunday, we were in shorts a t-shirt and flip flops. I can't say I looked like the stereotypical golfer but a customer is what keeps your place and employees in business. I walked in and went to the gentleman fitting those with clubs and asked if "when you have a minute I would like to try out a Rogue driver please and thank you." He acknowledged me and said he would be with me in a minute. Once he was done with the other customer he came over and we walked to the chained off section so he could assemble the shaft to the head ( again I'm not down with the jargon ).. Employee- "shaft? Regular stiff!??" Me- excuse me, umm yeah either, regular stuff?! Employee - "NO one or the other!! See I'm not going to give you a $500 driver if you don't know what you want.." It continued but that's when I felt the most disrespected, you see from the looks of it I apparently looked 1) didn't have a clue 2) unfit to be there 3) tattooed and a low life 4) stupid ... and I'm not putting words in this employees mouth but that's how it 100% felt. Judging or categorizing someone based off of what this look like and gauging whether or not you approach them with respect is not a good business method. I know you didn't teach that, your employee needs a talking to. That is not a face I want my customers or future purchasers having to deal with... you will continue to lose business. read more

We showed up a little late in evening and the manager warned us we may have to 'hurry' to finish before they have to close for the night. So we rushed a little bit and about 40 mins later he came out and told us they were closing...then a most surprising thing happened! Totally unsolicited - The manager offered us a free round since we hadn't finished !! . WOW we were amazed - and YES we will be back The place is great for date night / fun and inexpensive and under the roar of landing planes. We met some friends here as it was a half way point and we were trying to find a safe way to keep kids ages 9 -13 entertained. We had a good time, the only time we interacted with others was in getting our equipment. We chose to keep our masks on as we played because it was two households, but the course is well shaded and allows distance between groups. Probably took us a bit over an hour to play, our group had 8. It's close to other amenities so we drove and grabbed ice cream afterwards and took that to a park, all within 5-10 minute drive. This review is for the driving range and pro shop. They have a great facility and lots to offer in the pro shop including fittings and multiple brands of gear. They recently installed power tees throughout the range which makes it a bit more "luxurious" while working on that slice. Overall great place with lots of bays. read more

I came here on Valentine's day (afternoon) with my brother-in-law and father-in-law. We paid $13 for a jumbo, which rendered us with 3 tokens ~ 168 balls. With heated stalls, I couldn't blame the cold weather for my crappy ball striking. The guys in the pro shop loaned us Taylormade Burner drivers and Ping demo irons. One thing to note is that it's close to BWI so you will see airplanes descend on approach. Arundel Golf Park also has batting cages and miniature golf. I can't imagine how many people come here during peak season... but I will be back. My family and I had a good time. .,,,,,,,,,,,,,.. I really like coming here to hit golf balls. The prices are good, the staff is nice, the bathrooms are clean, and the facilities are (generally) well-kept. I just HATE that they allow smoking. It's a real bummer and stinks up the entire place when you're trying to enjoy the nice weather. read more

Yep, this is the only driving range around here if you live nearby Ft Meade or Arundel Mills so this is the best you can do unless you drive to another place like this in Laurel or Gambrills. The only place that I can hit off the grass is at the Naval Academy. It's pretty much outdated here, old ass balls, old mats, I don't even think their heating stalls worked when we were out there when it was cold during late Fall of last year. Lotsa ants on my mat and tee and this was just this past Sunday. The staff here are really friendly, NOT. 1 star for convenience and 1 star for the planes flying low in the area. read more

This spot was fun! We went on a date night and there were a good amount of ppl out. It is a bit hard to figure out where to start because the entry to the green for mini golf is basically at the 16th hole. But once we found the first hole lol..it was fine. It's not a very big site so I can see it being difficult to play when it's busy. But we enjoyed ourselves! Sure, the automated tees are cool. The staff was nice. The range itself is fine. However, IMO, the most important ingredient is AWFUL right now...THE BALLS!! Out of 112 golf balls, I had 16...yes 16 good balls. For $14 that is just not acceptable. I am a scratch golfer and really don't want to look at "knuckle balls" coming off my irons! Best driving range around! I could probably write a review that would go for pages upon pages. To start, the golf instruction is exceptional. They are not worried about the numbers that confuse golfers, they keep it simple and in a way that's easy to understand and build off of. Power tee's are great of course, range gets plenty of sun so even in the winter you get plenty of warmth. It's a family owned establishment that's been around for a long time. During these times it's this type of company that will survive based on customer service and attention to details. I wouldn't go to another driving range and in fact drive out of my way to get to this one. Very pleased to give my business to this place and you should also! read more

I can't really compare this Golf Park to others because it was my first time "fore-ing" so balls out there. It was a relatively nice day out and the two tiered decks helped to shade the golfers from the heat. Bought a jumbo bucket, 3 tokens which cost about $15 for 156 balls. It's an about average price (so I was told by my boyfriend, who is an avid golfer). I was a bit hesitant about my golf swing but I actually wasn't as bad as I thought. I think I even got some up and out at/or-around the 100 yard mark. Not too shabby for a first timer. All in all, it is one of the only golf parks that has a driving range and mini-golf. Plus what's not cool about planes coming in for landing directly overtop your swing? I guess it could get a bit distracting for you real golfers out there! ha. So yeah... I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back to Arundel but it was a good place to go for your first time at the driving range. read more

This is an ok driving range. They have a decent retail shop with up to date offerings. However the equipment repair side is less than impressive. The "guy" that does the work is only there limited hours so if you have questions or would like something in less than a few days go elsewhere. It gets crowded and noisy. A lot of first timers and kids so take a helmet for shaking off stray balls. Would recommend ranges in Crofton, Severna Park, Pasadena over this one. Gave it three stars because of retail side. read more

A mixed review. The driving range is why most people come here and it's pretty fun and in good shape. It's nice to see the planes landing when they are coming in on the runway adjacent to the golf park. The batting cages are ok, several were broken on our recent trip. The mini golf course is in very bad shape. The carpets are matted down and moldy in many places. The adjacent 'pond' is full of mosquitos and you'll get a few bites during your visit. read more

if you live in the arundel mills/glen burnie area ... this is pretty much the only driving range you can go to. here is why they fail: - balls are SO old. i cracked 5-10 today - putting green is like concrete, not even worth practicing on - flags are ripped ... so you can't even really tell which one it is the only unique thing is that you can see airplanes (mostly 737s and a few CRJs/private planes) fly over your head as they land at BWI i am NOT a fan. olney golf park is still #1! read more

Went for putt-putt (aka mini-golf) a couple weeks ago and was underwhelmed by the facilities. It was a hot humid night, so I can understand why they might be out of cold drinks. What I didn't understand was why they didn't have back-up beverages to restock the coolers. I think the only choices left were Mountain Dew & Coke. No thanks. My friend was interested in the 25% off sale they were having on golf bags, but changed his mind when he noticed the limited selection. Two rounds of putt-putt = $12. Getting onto the course itself was also "interesting." When you pull in to the complex, you see a parking lot at the bottom with a gate to the mini golf course and a sign that says it's open. When you get to the office to pay for your round(s), you then need to go back down the hill to get to said gate. Only to find it is, in fact, NOT open. It does have a decent padlock, though. So, back up the hill to enter the course through the exit gate, and meander through an awkward layout of the last few holes and to a footbridge that takes you over a pond and back towards the beginning of the course. And then you have to find the #1. The course itself was okay. Just okay. I realize the need to keep it sort of compact, but going in numerical order almost got confusing because of the design. Sometimes what looked like the next logical choice turned out to be several numbers ahead, and you would have to turn back to find where you were supposed to go. Most of the water traps were empty, which, honestly, on a hot sticky night like that might have been a blessing. It appears that the water would all be static, rather than bubbling, aka mosquito heaven. Having them empty kept down the mosquito population. Most of the greens for the course could use some attention from a leaf blower or at least a broom. And I lost count on how many of the greens seemed uneven. When you move the ball away from the side wall (brick pavers) to get in your next putt, you get a couple inches of "lee-way" so you can swing the putter. However, getting the ball to stay in its new spot proved difficult, as it would continue to roll back away. I figured this could be one of the reasons for so many twigs on the greens...because they were probably being used to "prop" the ball in place. I'm not gonna lie; I did it too. I guess the summer hours are extended thanks to the extended sunlight. I do not believe the course has lighting (could be wrong!), but if it did, that could extend their hours in the non-summer months as well. read more

This review is long overdue, I have been going to Arundel Golf Park for about three years and I'm glad I live close to the golf range. The price for a bucket of golf balls is average or better compared to other golf ranges. You can practice all year round with covered and heated bays, practice putting, practice on the chipping green and also hitting sand out of the bankers. The staff is quite friendly, I have taken golf lessons from both Jim and John, I can attest that after the first few lessons, I really started to enjoy golf versus getting frustrated and tired of hitting golf balls that were always going right (slices). They don't yell as they are instructing you on the proper technique based on your swing, you can actually tell they have passion for the game. It is so worth it to take golf lessons from them versus hacking on balls trying to figure out what is wrong with your swing. Their golf knowledge really comes across during the lessons. Since having my first lesson about 3 years ago, my driver distance has increased by 70 yards!! mostly due to learning the proper technique. I like the distance markers/flags that you can use as targets while at the range. It really helps to practice on accuracy and to actually tell how far you are a really hitting with different clubs. They now have new golf mats, I think they bring in new range balls two times a year, which is OK with me. The pro shop is also adequately stocked; I recently was fitted for a driver and irons, there was no pressure to buy. About last year, I wanted to replace a new set of golf irons, but Jim advised me not to buy a new set, I told him I was willing to return my new set at another store for a "better" set that was on sale at their shop. Instead he advised me to work on my swing. He did not jump on the opportunity to sell me a set of irons. What a class act!! I think I finally learnt the proper golf stance and posture instead of trying to buy new clubs or adjust them to fit my improper golf stance and posture.
