Love this park however it is not for older kids I would say ages toddler to 4 years of age. The water is shallow and does not exceed 3.5 feet however this is great if your child can swim and don't want to worry about losing sight of your child or having to worry. I was able to sit in one central location and see the entire park and my daughter. There is plenty to do from the multiple slides and obstacle courses but once a child is over 48 inches they are no longer able to ride. For now I will mark this as a favorite because momma was able to rest. There wasn't a line which was amazing and they now accept reservations. No vending machines or concessions so make sure you bring your own snacks and food. Lastly plenty of shades space and opportunities for seating and picnic tables . read more

Loved the facility and taking my son to pool. I never went to pools bathroom area so I can't speak to it, but they have shaded areas with tables and chairs to get away from the sun or have a snack. The splash pad was great. My son had fun. He's 17 months for reference. Should have taken more photos of the splash pad. read more

This is a cool splash park to have a nice family day in the hot sun. You can bring your own food or get delivery service. The water isn't too deep and a nice level for everyone. There are obstacle courts in the water for those who like to be challenged and the slide is fun AF! There is enough space for everyone and there are chairs and lawn seats available. On a hot day, you need to get there early because once it's filled to capacity there is a waiting list and who knows how long the wait is. This is a great place but would even better if they had food trucks or vending machines that actually work so make sure you bring your own fluids and food. Oh and there are no lockers so if you bring in personal belongings it is at your own risk ‍ but I will return before the summer is out. read more

First time here, this is a big area with a large pool and a large splash area as well. Life guards are very attentive and there are multiple things for kids of all ages to do. The location is very easy to find and everyone has been very nice since we got here. Looks like a great place to have a birthday party as well. I will definitely be back. read more

I took my son on a Sunday afternoon & he had a great time. The park opens @ noon on Sundays and we got there @ 12:30. PG county residents pay less then non-PG county residents. I recommend going early, less crowded and very enjoyable. You can bring your own food and drinks into the park, as they only have vending machines with signs that read 'use @ your own risk', so I would definitely recommend bringing snacks/drinks for the little one. Plenty of water activities for the entire family. Parking is free so your only paying to get into the park. Overall, we will definitely be back. read more

Small to Med-sized but nice and a lot more bang for my buck than I was expecting. My toddler finally found a tube slide he can ride on and had a blast. My teens had a blast once all the camps left and the pool was moderately "empty". This was a late July Tuesday, yesterday. I'm thinking weekdays after 2p or 3p is the way to go, NOT early, bc that's when it's crowded. Five stars for that. Now, on to the bathroom situation.... -2 stars for thisI wish the paths didn't wind so much and that there was a bathroom close to the pool (it's not). Somehow I don't think they quite thought that through, that a park made for little kids expressly with little LITTLE kids in mind would not have a useable bathroom nearby, just the useless lifeguard stand which no one but they can go into. This is a recipe for an excessive amount of pool pee, which we all know folks struggle with as it is. My toddler needs to go once everyone 15-30min and we had to trudge up the hill and into the obviously non-monitored bathrooms with paper everywhere and unflushed toilets. I doubt anyone else, child or adult, is as committed to preventing an overly-urinated water situation as we are. In fact, I'm sure with all those kids and a (might as well be a) mile-long uphill walk to the facilities, we were bathing in it. Please do better, Glenn Dale staff and admin. Don't be gross. 4 stars for this: Seating is fine during the week with more than enough chairs to go around. If your heart's desire is to sit with your things poolside, I can see how you'd be crushed and lean toward negativity in this regard. But there's lots of green space for BYO sunshade/beach tent or umbrellas (it's up to you to figure out how to use this in the grass and to ask staff ahead of time if that's even okay) and picnic blankets (or byo chairs if you must, but they have enough). We found space under one of their provided unoccupied umbrellas, which we ended up sharing with two other families we didn't know. They were cool. Sharing is fine. I highly encourage it. Plenty of room for all. But honestly we ended up sunbathing on our picnic blanket to offset the chill from the occasional summer breeze and from being wet, and we went on a super-hot day (94° at least). Just make sure your sunblock is a good one (might I recommend Badger brand baby sunblock for the whole family?) and reapply like you have OCD. read more

Fantastic community pool. Day pass is $5. Monthly pass is $25 (you do need a smartlink card) and free for two and under. Extremely kid friendly, particularly for toddlers, with a beach entry and under 2' splash area. Lots of lifeguards, really clean and lots of fun. Two large pools, one has a long slide for older kids, and one has a shallow slide for use with inner tubes and a short yellow slide for the really littles. Had a bday party for my two year old and everyone had a great time. Plus you can bring in your own food and they have affordable concessions. No grilling there. read more

Let me start off by saying that I will never go back to this place again! It was hood beyond belief!! We were invited for a birthday party by a friend and from the gate, I was turned off! The place is through MNCPP and a lot of the workers appeared to be teenagers. They were rude out the gate. We went to check in at the Birthday check in table, my children's names were not on the list, immediately they say, "oh you need to go and pay!" How rude! Lucky for me, our host was at the front and took care of it right away! These kids were very rude and unprofessional. However, we go in and let the children get in the pool! The place was packed to the gills! I don't even know how the kids could have a good time with so many people in the pool. We had poor timing cause no more than 5 minutes after the kids got in the pool, it was adult swim. Adult swim lasted every bit of 25 minutes it seemed! Not to mention the immature life guards going down the slide doing relay races while the rules explicitly say not to. And they were going down the slide on their stomachs! My niece was very confused by this seeing as though she read the rules on the slide! But the incident that took the cake was me seeing a lifeguard yelling in kids faces! Like a big guy yelling in 5 year old's faces to stop running! I even heard him say, "I know I told you to stop running" to the point I saw his chest huff and puff! That is how hard he yelled at the kids! I belong to a Fitness Club that has a pool, and believe me, they do not yell like that at the most flagrant child! I will never go back here for anything! This will be my 2nd time back, first time was same time last yr for a birthday party for my grandbaby...When I tell you the Staff is awesome...Ask for Symone, she's professional, courteous & just AWESOME at her job...You always can tell when an Employee is happy with their job. The price was reasonable. I brought my grandkids to the parks on 7-10-17; we had a great time. The reason the park received four stars is the staff cashiers and life guard were not big on customer service or professional. They were all pretty much young adult or teens. Stay away from the Glenn Dale Splash Park. Unless you enjoy being among the least common denominators of Prince George's County. Dirty diapers in the pool, parents letting kids relieve themselves in front of those who thought they could be in a wholesome environment. There are far more respectable Splash/Water Parks outside of PG County where you can take your kids and actually enjoy yourselves without being exposed to an "undesirable element." read more

This is the absolute worst venue to take your kids if your thought process is "let me take my kids to a splash park where they can have fun". I visited this park on 7/16 for a birthday party and from the beginning it was the worst experience EVER. We go to check in and the young lady says "go on in". She provides zero directions to where the party I'm supposed to be attending is located. Mind you there is a big sign that says the park is closed because it is at capacity so it's on me to find my family amongst 500 people. Ok fine. I find where I am supposed to be only to find out that everything is closed because someone contaminated the pool and things were shut down since 1PM. Mind you it's almost 4PM at this point and they are telling guests that it will open at 4PM. 4PM comes and the whistle blows that the kids can get in. This is where I witness some of the absolute worst skills displayed by lifeguards I have ever seen in my life. One lifeguard told my son that he couldn't be in the larger of the two swim areas because he wasn't tall enough. Never mind the fact that he told him this while he was swimming. They were denying kids access to slides and swim areas based on height and not skill which I find odd. Never mind the fact that it's only 3 1/2 feet of water. My son was completely upset and ready to leave after being there for 10 minutes. Kids were only allowed to swim or 40 minutes before they blew the whistle for adult swim. This is where chaos and anarchy break out. There were "adults" who were running full speed and diving head first down the slide. They were piling on top of each other, landing in the water on top of each other and one of the individuals participating was a LIFEGUARD! I was appalled. Way to set an example for the children watching. I will never go to this establishment again and if zero stars were an option, they most certainly earned it this day. read more

I love this pool for all ages. It's clean and well manned by the life guards. The kiddie area has a mountain with waterfalls, and slides to use the tubes (first come first serve). The sliding tubes for swimmers are super fast, it was such a rush for me as a middle aged adult. read more

This place was awful! Over crowded, unattended children, unprofessional staff and then we all had to get out because someone pooped in the pool. The pool was no deeper than 3 1/2 feet deep. The ladies room had those hygiene sticker from the inside of bathing suits stuck all over the walls. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. read more

Love this place! Six kids ages 3 to 12 had a blast. It was not crowded so the kids didnt have to wait long for the slides. The kiddie pool was a perfect size and depth. I plan to come every day that the kids need an energy releaser. Highly recommend! However, limited shady spots so wear a hat or bring an umbrella! read more

Bathrooms ARE DISGUSTING!!!!! You would rather hold it TRUST Me!!! For you to have to pay to get in this splash park the bathroom should be clean what are we paying for? Its common courteousy or customer service. One of the restroom says "Out Of Order" and the rest are toilets are stopped up paper all over the floor, wet nasty dirty floors and all the staff are just sitting around doing ABSOLUTELY nothing. They break EVERY Chance they get it seems like. If you reserved a funbrella PLEASE do NOT bother because your FULL paid reserved time will not be utilized. They break so much and that is what eat your time Up they try to be so slick about it. Simply unfair!!
