Pros:We visited three wineries during our trip to Colonial Beach, and my favorite wine sample…read moreoverall was the Traminette from this winery. I did the five-wine tasting for $11. Holly was very friendly--definitely a big talker. Cons:The winery is unimpressive from the outside, and unfortunately that didn't change once inside. While the employee we interacted with was pleasant, she couldn't answer basic questions about the wines' flavor profiles, which felt like a missed expectation. The "beer list" was simply a board that read "IPA, Ale, Lager," and they were already out of the IPA. I usually enjoy Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, but both were mediocre here. If you're searching for a refined or classy winery experience, this isn't it--keep driving. Overall: This winery offers an affordable tasting and one standout wine, but the experience falls short in presentation and knowledge. The lack of ambiance, limited beer options, and inability to answer basic questions about the wines take away from what could have been a more enjoyable visit. It's fine for a casual stop, but not for those seeking a polished winery experience.

She shared so much about wine and winemaking which was awesome. It wasn't just someone trying to get you to buy wine it was an experience. Side note: great photographer and dang em happy birthday too! 3. Wines are pretty good but OooooH MAN! That dessert the chocolate decadence. Chocolate cake, rich and moist and served warm in a wine glass sprinkled with their Cabernet sugar (made from the skin of the one grapes I believe) this is available for purchase. She also drizzled a Cabernet syrup tho not for sale amazingly delicious. We had one with and one without and by far that addition of syrup was phenomenal. 4. Aside from amazing chocolate cake they have cheese spread you can purchase. 5. You can sit inside and play chess or chill, or go outside and sit by water. 6. Dog friendly however, they can't be inside. But plenty of outdoor beautiful seating with views of the water (I recommend bringing off)

The vinard is onsite and I believe they help other local wineries in the area to make wine. The employees were great, so friendly and knowledgeable. There was live music. They have some food on site and they have food trucks. The oyster food truck was wonderful. Can't wait to return.

The tasting room is spacious and comfortable, with tables and couches perfect for relaxing with friends. There's also a charming gift shop, along with a selection of cheeses and snacks available for purchase. Cons:I tried the five-red tasting for $12, but none of the wines were especially memorable. The pours were inconsistent, with some wines served as one sip, some two, and others three. The cheeses for purchase are pricey, with 4 oz costing $13. The most significant issue was the wine glasses--each sip had a strong odor reminiscent of dirty sponge water, indicating that their glass-cleaning process needs major improvement. Overall: A charming vineyard with rich history and a comfortable tasting space, but the wines didn't impress and snacks are pricey. Great for the atmosphere, less so for the tasting. Based on this experience, I rate this establishment a 2.5 out of 5.

We did the rent for one of my good friends birthdays and it was the cutest birthday experience…read moreever! My favorite wines in the tasting: White Petit Manseng 2024 10/10 La Belle Vie Rose 2023 9/10 Sauvignon blanc 2023 8/10 La Belle Vie White 2024 9/10 Red Abbinato 2022 9/10 Coyote cave 9/10 (bolder than abbinato) Merlot 2023 8/10 (very light and pleasant) Petit Verdit 2019 We ended up going with the petit manseng it's sweet but not overly sweet. Extremely good, like a moscato. The food: The burger 15/10 The crab dip 9/10 Grilled Cheese 8/10 Dessert: Wine cakes 50/10 SOOO WORTH IT! I believe the tent comes with one of the charcuterie boards - Le Grand Cru Platter. I honestly thought it was alright, not the best sprays I've had and the bread was hard. I'd give it a 7/10. The winery cakes were PHENOMENAL!!!!!! I was IN LOVE. They apparently soak it for many hours in their wine. I highly recommend it! Both the strawberry and vanilla one was great, but I really enjoyed the strawberry cake. Apparently you have to order 3 days in advance. The tent was actually pretty warm if you kept it zipped up. There were two heaters in the tent. I think we got the tent for 12 people, but it comfortably fit 10 people. Overall I highly recommend this winery, I would TOTALLY come back !
