This is probably a 4.5 because more salt and less tzatziki could have been used but it's easy to round up to a 5 because of the Honey Bee Blonde, softness of the pita, and flavor packed meatballs plus a fun space, both indoor and outdoor with a DJ. The chicken flatbread was delicious although as one person mentioned previously, heavy on the onion, which was no big deal to pick off. The gyros were yummy as well and although being a brewery, they do carry Athletic brewing for the NA crowd which is quite considerate! Staff had a lot going on because of the crowds coming for the parade and were generally nice but otherwise engaged so not sure how deeply friendly, but it was fine!! read more

Their outdoor area is great for relaxing with a couple beers. A small but varied assortment, so there's something for everybody. They also had some small food dishes to snack on, but we didn't try any on this visit. A nice little neighborhood hangout. read more

This was a highlight of our long weekend at Colonial Beach. We rented a house nearby for the weekend and scoped out the area for things to do since it was a rainy and cloudy Memorial Day weekend. We showed up in the late afternoon and the place was packed. After getting our beer, which were all really good, we settled into the Annex to listen to music. I appreciate that they had entertainment but kept it at a reasonable volume so we could still carry on a conversation. We had 7 beers between 4 people and our tab was about $63. Seems high to me but I'm sure there are taxes and other fees. While it was pricey, I am happy to pay it to enjoy the entertainment and the great company of my friends. read more

We had a great time at Colonial Beach Brewing! Though a limited selection of beers, all that we tried were fantastic. The Peach Seltzer beer was really good for those that are not big "beer people." Very welcoming atmosphere had some fun games to provide a chance to get into the air conditioning and out of the heat. Would definitely return if we were in the area. read more

Place is a bit goofy. It is now 419pm and there is no one here. It is Weds and the front door of the place has a schedule saying they are open at 4pm. They are not open. Seems like they do not need any customers. Another couple is here and they are as confused as we are. They have called the phone number but there is no answer. Not a good sign. But, there is another entrance where we finally gained entry. We were thirsty and did not give up. We found the Barman who was pleasant enough and we got a couple of "cold beers", American light lagers. They were tasty. He had to go somewhere else to get our beers even though the taps were right in front of us. The tasting area is Spartan and low key. There are a couple of tvs playing sports. Nothing special. There is nothing special about this place. There is an outdoor area but the weather was inclement so we stayed indoors. Ok for a quick beer but not worth another visit. Mark. read more

This is the tiniest little brewery I've ever seen. But, for a small place, it packs a punch! There's a front entrance with live music, a few tables, TVs, and a mini sized bar. There's also an even tinier back entrance with a few seats (18) at the bar and outdoor seatings with umbrellas... and on the side there's a covered patio. Look, this is Colonial Beach so for them to have a brewery at all is a huge accomplishment! Go CB!! As for the brews, I had the Potomac Pale Ale which was very foamy and bitter; and the Beach Blonde Ale which was crisp and easy sipping. My friend had the Beach Haze which she said was her fav. If you are local or come in from a short road trip from fredericksburg richmond or nova its a wonderful nice small establishment along main street colonial beach. Its not a mega brewery or grub hub but place in quiet no stress colonial beach. Beer is very good and also have nice music jazz acoustic and easy on your ears. If you want something to eat there is an amazing thai french restaurant right across the street -- reasonable - entree that would be 40-50 in rva or dmv . Colonial beach is a wonderful walkable community and very open diverse community - welcoming. I recommend - take a little road trip down route 3 and follow the signs- during this wonderful fall and sample a beer at colonial beach. Its such good therapy .. read more

Big fan of CBB. The beers have gotten better and more creative since launch and now they have more space to host live music and more people. I enjoy both the wheat and brown ale.
