Breadsticks (5)
Jada W.

I met up with an old college friend, and she couldn't stop raving about Monical's in Illinois--so of course, we had to check it out for lunch! We ordered the 5 breadsticks and a 16" Deluxe thin and crispy pizza. The breadsticks were a fun surprise; they had more of a pretzel vibe than a typical breadstick, but they were still super tasty! The pizza was delicious--though a bit more time in the oven might have been nice to heat the toppings fully under the cheese. I absolutely loved their garlic butter and nacho cheese sauces, and the service was good.

The chicken Alfredo pan style pizza is the way to go! The crust is cheesy and soft with the a great combo of chicken and cheese. They do individual size pizzas which are a plus. The thin crust, and fries were average. Nothing notable, but I'd come back for some Alfredo pizzas great for a quick lunch-their lunch specials run the weekend as well!

This location is one of my favorite pizza places. Cassie has been there for years and does an excellent job as a server. She is fast, efficient, and friendly. She really deserves lots of praise. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch individual pizza. It arrived quickly and tasted great. Not too much sauce. Just the right amount of chicken and bacon. I will be back for more.

I love this place! Excellent service, place is clean. I ordered a thin crust pizza, breadsticks with cheese, and salad. I was very pleased with my dinner and plan to return.

a variety of pizzas

I got quite a lot of food as it sounded really good. Unfortunately it wasn't that great.ravioli's tasted like airplane food. Pizza lacked a lot of flavor. Dessert pizza was decent but nothing special. Garlic cheese bread was actually really tasty as well as their sweet and tartar sauce. Those two were really good. The service and ambiance were good as well but I still think it is very overpriced

The pizza is okay, not bad but not amazing. They do offer gluten free pizza which is all my wife can eat, so I'm a fan.

Our service was appropriately paced for the time it takes to make a Chicago deep dish pizza. I liked the TVs they had in the center of our dining area, which had some pre-season football coverage. The booths have taller partitions so it feels more intimate. I also liked the marquee saying "EAT PIZZA". I will certainly follow instructions there! The pizza we got was "The Special": sausage, green pepper, onion, and mushroom. I thought the pizza was fine, my only thing about Chicago style is that the vegetables can't caramelize like they would on a regular pizza. But that's just a personal opinion. I am pleased with the range of mocktail offerings, which are all $7.

This place is my group's go-to place on Day 0 for PRI and it's honestly the BEST pizza ever. I'm…read morefrom California and ever since I got my hands on a slice of Giordano's signature famous deep dish pizza, it was over. No pizza place from my home state can't compare so Giordano's is always something to look forward to during our 4 day visit. Meat and more meat! This was our table's pizza that was split between 4 people. Honestly can't complain, I love all of their pizza but since we only visit once a year, we always order deep dish style. Never fails and always leaves us full! Carnivore? Then you should definitely order this dish! Make sure it's the biggest one too! Calabrian Chili Honey Chicken Wings Ok so I can't be entirely biased with Giordano's. We wanted to try this out since it was a limited chicken wing flavor and honestly it wasn't the best. I mean it's a pizza joint? They specialize in pizza but we were so hungry that we figured to try it out. Hey, if you love chicken wings or just an enthusiast for wings in general, by all means give this one a shot if it's still available! Overall Always excited to come to Indiana cause I KNOW I'll be eating some damn good pizza. Deep dish style isn't for everyone which is nice that they have their Tavern Style and Thin Crust Pizzas. But since Giordano's specializes in deep dish pizza, it's highly recommended to order deep dish style! can't wait to visit again next year and see what new pizza they'll have! And can't forget about the awesome servers doing their best on those busy convention nights! Y'all the real MVP's! Ambiance is warm and inviting with a bit of high noise since it's also got a bar but it never phases me, if anything it's relaxing since I know I'll be indulging into pizza goodness. Just remember to come hungry and you'll guaranteed to leave happy! See you next year Giordano's!

Bazbeaux Pizza - Trying the vegan pizza at Bazbeaux tonight!

I didn't catch his name but he was really great. The restaurant reminds me of an old hole in the wall pizza spot. Really great and must have!

I have to laugh that my first review for this location of Bazbeaux, an Indy pizza icon since 1986,…read morewas actually my 300th Yelp review. Now, I'm over 1800 reviews and Yelp has become a huge part of my life. I was attending a nearby event related to Indy Shorts Film Festival and decided I wanted to visit Mass Avenue a bit once the event was over. This was early afternoon. After looking around a bit, I opted for a long-awaited return to Bazbeaux. Of course, a lot has changed in this area in the last few years. Parking prices are up (way up), though it's pretty plentiful with nearby street parking (metered) and parking along Mass Avenue. You also have a couple nearby parking garage options. Finding an accessible spot is fairly easy - curb cuts remain solid in this area and there continue to be some (but not all) crosswalks with audio. As was true nine years ago, accessibility on Mass Avenue can be challenging. That said, I think it has improved. I entered Bazbeaux and immediately noticed some improvement right away. There are two sides - a dining side, a bar side (with tables), and an aisle you can use for carry-out. The interior is warm, calming, and surprisingly intimate. The bar area is a bit louder, it's a bar area after all, but it's still pretty quiet. Service here remains strong. The hostess offered the bar area or a booth. Tables are not all wheelchair friendly, however, there are quite a few accessible options. My server, Samuel, was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. He paced my meal nicely - I ordered garlic bread, my usual unsweetened iced tea (I think they still serve Mighty Leaf - an unusual choice that I love). I ordered a small (10") pizza with one-topping (pepperoni). I lingered a little bit, though not excessively so like my last visit. This time around, I was alone and my meal time was more traditional. The prices were definitely higher than last time, however, what price isn't higher than nine years ago? They were on park with the market these days and I had no issues with it - I think my meal came in at about $19 for the pizza, garlic bread, and iced tea (and I did get my always desired refill). Bazbeaux is unique in that every location (Mass Ave, Broad Ripple, Carmel) is located along the Monon Trail. They all have outside dining options, as well. They serve beer and wine, sandwiches, pizza, and more. One thing I have to say - accessibility is improved. I was noticeably bothered by it the last time I was here. This time around, I was comfortable and could easily function (I did not try the bathroom). While I could still see it being a bit difficult when packed, I arrived at an ideal time and was quite comfortable. The food was good, the service was very good, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was nice and peaceful after a busy morning event. It really hit the spot. So, yeah. Last time around, I gave Bazbeaux a 3-star review. This time, I'm forking over that 4th star.
