No issues with wait-list, set a longer wait and if in sooner good to go. Let's put my picky flavor wife order up front and center- I did a double take when she said her sandwich, the Smoked Ham Ciabatta, was above what she expected and volunteered that it was pretty good. The Spinach Artichoke dip was way more than I thought would come from the kitchen. I am looking for a soup bowl size at best and this big ole thing comes out. I especially liked the cheese crushed top. Just enough salty touch to go with the dip and pita chips. Enough for 4 but my wife wanted space for her meal (the smart one), kid enjoyed a bit and other kid just don't like warm dip. The Chicken Piccata with huge capers was just popping with all kinds of flavor to include the broccoli and mash potatoes. My kid was just so glad to share a few taste of each on her plate. I was kinda stuff from the app and drink but dang it was good. The Chicken Parmesan was a good flavor as well but the chicken on the tough chewy side unlike the Piccata. Besides that, a completely different flavor profile but yet still good and well seasoned. The last l, my Blacken Shrimp Cavatappi. Still full but got a few bites in. This did not disappoint either. Once again a different flavor profile but not lacking in seasoning but could use a little more mushrooms. The YouTube guy flinging grains of Kosher salt does not work at Monelli's. read more

I've been to this location a hand full of times and the food has always been very good and orders accurate. they are always quite busy. My favorite dishes are the Dirty mac, and the rigitoni al forno. I prefer the restaurant side as the bar side can get kinda noisy at times and hard to hear your dinner partner! read more

Food creative and delicious. Service excellent. Ambiance perfect for visiting with friends.

The atmosphere is great especially if you love sports. The food was fantastic, I had the Chicken Parmigiana, it was possibly the best I've had. The other people in my party got Lobster Alfredo and loved it. One guy got a steak and was very happy. We got several appetizers and they were all great. And, the service was very good. I would definitely go back!! read more

Decided to try here again after a long absence but having some friends say good things recently. We were greeted quickly and seated......right under the AC vent. Serer apologised and moved us to next table. Some wet substance on the table and companions chair. Brought it to the servers attention and she went to get cleaning cloth. We switched that chair out in the mean time and pulled my chair out ......a puddle of water about the size of a saucer was on the seat. Apologies again. Drinks arrived fairly quick and we ordered pizza thin crust. She got the manager to switch one screen so we could watch the race and football. We appreciated that. Pizza came and it was very tasty but everything except about one inch of the outer edge was soggy and fell apart as it was removed from the platter. We will try again in a week or two when friends visit. Hope it goes better! read more

Best food, good service, and great atmosphere love the staff never had a bad experience

Prices have gotten out of control. And they've stopped their biggest draw...their Italian buffet. Not worth it anymore.

Super crowded... but the service was very good. They got us seated in no short order. I wish they'd had water on the table, but they did not. It took a bit longer than we'd have liked to get our drinks, but as I said the severs let us know what was going on timing-wise... so no real biggie. Got our bread which was excellent, wish there was way more of that... but that's because it was so good! We received more bread with our entrees. I got a steak and it was pretty good... I asked for med rare and got it a bit more done than I'd have liked. But I finished it... so that'll tell you how upset I was with it :-D. I had the cannoli and that was decent. My friends all enjoyed their entrees quite a bit. I'd definitely go back. If only to try other dishes. The service was the real stand out for me. Food was very good. read more

Today for lunch the Pesto Panini and burnt chips. The menu says sliced grilled chicken. Out of courtesy to readers I didn't include picture of chicken I had to spit out due to gristle and unable to chew it. Some pieces so small it was hard to keep chicken on the sandwich. They tried to hide the chicken by utilizing extra greens. The waiter ignored the plate of semi chewed chicken beside me and pretended all was fine. When we needed more tea he literally took our used glasses off the table and into the kitchen to refill. BTW...it was raspberry tea that was ordered...not what came back out of the kitchen! Since the change in management this restaurant been steadily declining in quality and service. We won't waste any more money now hoping it gets better. read more

Terrible service. They don't care about their customers. Food is ok at best. Even talking to a manager didn't make a difference. Rude and uncaring. read more

I accidentally ordered the wrong item for my daughter. I called to see if I could bring back the item and select the correct food item as my daughter is allergic to the food items on the sandwich. I was told since this was my fault, I would not be able to get another sandwich made for free and that I would have to purchase another sandwich. Seriously! The sandwich was not free! I guess this establishment does not consider customer service a top priority! I will never spend my money here ever again. read more

A nice place to get Italian. Good food, friendly service, always hopping. Check out the drink menu and apps (:

First time diners. Food was great, definitely homemade. Our waiter, Connor, was fantastic. He was open with suggestions when we were deciding what to try. We never asked for refills, he brought them before we could. We will be back. Thank you! read more

We had the best experience at Monelli's. We came in with a large group of adults and kids. They were very accommodating. The service was amazing. Amaya and Conner were excellent! They were always ahead of the game. If you come in, ask for one of them. You won't be disappointed. read more

We enjoyed this place for our first visit. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was a good portion size for both adult and kids, and very saucy, which I liked! The peanut butter pie for dessert was really great!! The waitress was very nice and attentive. We will definitely return in the future. read more

Amelia our server was wonderful I tried the stromboli with sausage & mushrooms. The stromboli was large however the sausage was barely warm and the mushrooms weren't cooked. They were as firm as if I'd just picked them out of the fresh mushroom box. The stromboli came with chips (yep new to me too) and I upgraded to fries which were very good just weird having fries with a stromboli Hubby & daughter had the buffet. The ribs were a bit spicy, no pasta other than now tie pasta salad. Broasted chicken was good, soup was good, pizza was just ok. It was a little disappointing but since this is the first time not being thrilled with the place we will go back again. read more

Very good food and service. It was very busy so consequently we waited quite a long time for our food.

Been here twice. Have yet to be disappointed. Large portions, great flavor. Left satisfied both times. Went in with a large group the second time, they were a bit busy, but were able to get us in within 15 minutes. read more

Been in Kalamazoo for work. Found out about Monelli's, thankfully!! M-anagement is outgoing and care about customer experience. O-ver the top service. N-ever had anything that didn't taste wonderful. E-xcellent selection of menu items. L-ove the bar staff. L-ove the draft beer selection. I-m trying to eat everything on the menu. S-ure to miss this place when I go home :( Ashley, Amber, Desiree, Kat, Lilly and Mya are outstanding in this business. I managed restaurants for 18 years and I had some amazing people work for me, none better than these ladies. They represent this company and themselves with professionalism at a level that is hard to find. I adore them all for their attitudes and friendliness. read more

It's a legit Italian sports bar. They have a superb rotating craft brew lineup. The service is prompt and consistently good. The fettuccine Alfredo is great, especially with blackened chicken. The mozzarella sticks are also some of the best I've had. I think they use to serve bread with a meal. Not sure if they do that anymore. read more

Food is always good and fresh. Our service has been great. We don't go at the busiest times though. We enjoy Monellis greatly

The one star is because the service was excellent but the food was super salty. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. if there's a minus star it would be -10. Good Luck to anyone that eats there. read more

My warm, large club sub and chips were really good! Our waiter was very attentive to our needs and the dining experience was nice. I noticed other tables had pizzas that looked scrumptious as well. We will be back. read more

This is your typical sports bar. Random genres of music and sports on every channel. Loud atmosphere but still enjoyable because that's what you go here for! Food was largely portioned. I have provided pictures of the Italian Sub with chips and the Steak Salad with added Avocado. Yumm. Service was okay. The waitress knew we were waiting on two more people to join so she allowed the appropriate space until then. But, when our other guests showed and we had our food, she was a little hard to find. Still, not bad service just noticeable wait times. Overall, definitely would go there again to try something else off from the menu. The pasta looked amazing! read more

I had visitors in town and we decided to visit this new place. Initially it felt like any other sports bar, with big screens and many beer on tap options. We look at the menu and we saw the same options like any other pub place. Not many different options to try...so we went with the sampler. It had potato skins (which were really good), cheese fingers, and and chicken tenders. Then I ordered the pasta just to try something that I know. It was good. I'll be coming back to have a second dish to try. read more

Rigatoni Carbonara is the best! Never really had a problem here but it isn't a place I always think of when I am hungry. At times it can be busy. read more

Monellis could always be counted upon for good quality food, fresh salads in particular. Don't try any Caesar salads now though, they have gone to a shredded up bagged "romaine" that is pretty bad. Does not resemble a good romaine salad, and it has that bagged flavor which means it's been dipped/rinsed in a substance to keep it fresher longer. The lettuce looks and tastes that would be used for tacos, not for a nice fresh salad. My friend and I will be going to Texas Roadhouse instead, for fresher salads and our happy hours. Disappointing!! read more

Great spot. I went for the bears game and they had every nfl game on the tvs. Food was great and server was beyond amazing. Cocktail and specials program was impressive as well. Would recommend for sure read more

0/5 My wife and I were seated and waited for nearly 30 minutes without any acknowledgment. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and there was no initial wait to be seated. This was our first time visiting and will absolutely be our last. Maybe your experience will be different but I wouldn't bother taking the chance at this restaurant. read more

It was great service was great Everything was great except the green pepper topping on the pizza

Update: Second time around wasn't that great. It was still good and our server was awesome, but the options were not as fresh or as well-stocked. There was sadly no chicken alfredo pizza and the cake was very, very dry. The roasted chicken was also a bit more dry and very spicy. It was okay, but it didn't blow my mind like the first time we went. It went from 5 stars to 3, averaged at a 4-star. November 2018: Our food- and globe-trotting Yelp CA, Beth recommended Monelli's at an event a few months back. I was finally able to try it -holy Scooby snacks! Summed up simply: there are other Italian buffets in the GR/Kzoo area that are pumping out delicious, quality Italian food. There are Italian buffets that are also bigger. BUT -each dish I had at Monelli's was solid quality and absolutely scrumptious. As a low carb/keto eater, I was able to find enough food to eat. Confession: I ate 3 bites of Alfredo pasta, 3 bites of mashed potatoes, and 2 bites of cake. Okay, a little chicken Alfredo pizza too. I never waste carb bites, but the food was so good, I'll take the moment on my lips. Amazing Alfredo pasta and pizzaand I'm VERY picky), the potatoes were decadent, and the cake -don't even get me started on that dream cake with its light sponge texture, strawberries, and perfectly sweetened light and fluffy whipped frosting. If you're in the area, paying $9 to shove your face with that cake is worth it alone! read more

super salty food, not good food. Did not compensate. We couldn even eat 1/4 of the meals

A friend of mine and I were brainstorming where to take the kids she babysits, ranging in age from 2nd grade to high school, for a reasonably priced lunch. Monelli's for the win! Not only did all ages of kids really enjoy the food, because it was served buffet-style they were able to try some new things they never had before. Turns out everybody is a fan of the lobster bisque, and even the second grader loved the Cajun chicken, although the spiciness was a touch much for her. Pasta and pizza buffets are a bit heavy for my diet, but the lunch buffet here really is a great place to take a group and know that there was something for everyone. PS one of the girls pointed out a pro tip: the ribs are so fall off the bone tender that you want to make sure you don't eat them over your desserts. She enjoyed her tiramisu cake even with a little bit of barbecue sauce on it though. read more

I went to Monelli's for the third time today with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary since this place was our new favorite. We loved their options of ciders on draft and the fettuccine alfredo was our favorite. Our visit today will keep me from going back there again. Our waitress (never got a name because she had a 3 second limit to be at our table) rushed us for no reason since the place was half empty. Brought us our drinks and we put in an appetizer and food order. Shortly after our appetizer comes out and then about a minute later our food came out. Slightly inconvenient but oh well. Since we were rushed we never ordered a second drink, it seemed pointless. A loss of business for them. After leaving the establishment, my boyfriend and I quickly felt ill with upset stomachs and ruined our anniversary day. The cider I got on draft tasted a little funky and the alfredo tasted a little different than normal. Not sure what made us sick but we will definitely not come back to find out. read more

Had dinner on a Sunday night. The parking lot looked like we would have a super long wait, walked in and sat immediately. Lots of TVs with football on, so sports bar - spot on. The menu had a lot of great Italian options. I ordered the salmon, but the description made it sound much better than it was. The salmon itself was great but the sauce and topping, meh. We will be back to try different items for sure. read more
