One Well Brewing is the kind of place that makes you think, "Yeah... I could probably just live here." The kids disappeared into the games so fast I briefly considered filing a missing persons report before realizing they were just... happy. As a parent, I experienced something I hadn't felt in years: finishing an entire meal while it was still warm. I almost cried. The pizza is offensively good. My cardiologist has specifically asked me not to be tagged in any more of my Yelp reviews, but if you're reading this, Steve... mind your own business. Some relationships are worth fighting for, and mine with this pizza is one of them. The beer was fantastic. Every pint tasted like it was brewed by someone who actually enjoys making beer instead of someone trying to impress a guy named Chad who owns three flannel shirts and says things like, "I'm getting notes of pine and emotional unavailability." The place is huge, which is exactly what every parent dreams of. The kids sprinted off to the games, the dog made about 47 new friends, and for a glorious 20 minutes nobody asked me to open a juice box, settle a courtroom-level dispute over whose turn it was, or inspect a mysterious object they found on the floor. I wasn't parenting anymore. I was just a guy eating incredible pizza in public. One Well somehow found the perfect balance between brewery, family hangout, dog park, and therapy session. This is my favorite spot to go to great cider and root beer that's homemade. I like to take a growler home with me. Bring them back for a discount. Also a decent spot for vegan food. I will say the food leaves me feeling heavy and I need a nap afterwards. no French fries or anything like that. I like the games and all the machines are still taking coins. We stopped by One Well Brewing while we were in the area! We absolutely loved the entire experience - the beer flights, the games, and the majority of the food! We stopped by around 1 PM on a Saturday! It was super busy and packed! I love that it's family-friendly! It was fun seeing all of the kids running around and playing games - there are SO many games (two full rooms) from air hockey to arcades games to darts to duckpin bowling to pinball machines to pool tables - they literally have it all! Our daughter enjoyed playing ALL the games while my husband and I enjoyed our beer flights and waited for our food! Food: Our daughter ordered the Kids Mac and Cheese with Kettle Chips. The mac and cheese was cold and dry and her kettle chips were cold and stale. She did not enjoy her meal at all! I wonder if her food sat out while my husband and I's food was being prepared as my kettle chips were more fresh and actually tasted good! I ordered the Cuban with Kettle Chips. This was probably the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had (and I have had quite a few Cuban sandwiches in my lifetime)! The pork was smoked and absolutely delicious and tender! They were not skimpy on the pork either (like some other restaurants can be when ordering a Cuban sandwich)! The bread was perfectly toasted too! My husband ordered Buffalo Wingdings. These were perfectly smoked and fall-off-the-bone good as well (maybe a little too fall-off-the-bone for a wing though)! However, the chicken wings still tasted great! They have flights which is a plus. Had a lot of blondes as opposed to IPA heavy which is nice to see but overall did not love any specific beer. Service was great, super friendly, food came out quickly. I'll be back for the bartenders and give a new rotation of beers a try. Food was good not great. There were so many unique things about One Well! It is a brewery in a very large industrial space that was built with all upcycled and reclaimed materials. They promote a TV free environment to encourage conversation, but they offer a large variety of board games and pinball and arcage games. Tara was our server and could not have been nicer. We sat at the bar and she offered us suggestions and samples to help us decide what to order. My husband had the Non- Spicy Jalepeño blonde , Bluestar a blonde ale with blueberry and the Opener. He enjoyed the beers so much we took a 4 pack home! I had the Thorn in my Cider a rasberry cider. Their mug club is different than other breweries. It is a ceramic mug made by a local potterist. A member selects a mug and it is numbered and they become a lifetime member. The mugs are hung up on the ceiling of the two bars. If in the area we would definately stop in again. read more

This place has it all. First of all it's a brewery, the beer was outstanding. I had a flight of five beers, and I liked every one of them. A gose, an IPA, a porter, a dunkel, and a blond coffee ale. The food was next level as well. Not your typical craft brewery food. I have the carbonara. It didn't have the typical style of pasta in it, but it was a delicious dish. Location is also very cool. There's darts and pool and duck pin bowling and a lot of pinball machines and some video games. A lot of board games too. I said at the bar. If you sit anywhere else, it's counter service and they'll deliver your food to you. They sell stickers and merchandise. The staff was all very attentive and very friendly. Seriously, if you like craft beer, you gotta go. There's an outdoor patio as well for nicer weather. read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend who had found it on a Kalamazoo just by wandering into a brewery that he saw. He recommended it, and we went to eat there and it was *amazing.* For beer, there's a great selection, but I stuck with two and a half pints of the State of Bean, which manages -- somehow -- to combine the flavors of coffee and butter pecan in a blonde in a way that's lighter than your average pecan stout, but doesn't feel overly cloying. Just crisp enough with a blend of flavors to be perfect. The food was also amazing. I ordered a small Holy Moly pepperoni, and needed my friend to finish it. It has two kinds of pepperoni, three kinds of cheese together with an amazing crust. Just absolutely first rate, and I couldn't finish it (but fortunately my friend who was with me did so for me). I got a salad with it, in this case, the Cherry Bomb, although even without a protein, between the cheese chunks and the candied walnuts, was a meal in itself. Not only were the apples and candied nuts great, but the greens were of excellent quality: it's always good to get nice, high-quality greens at a bar. Great place ... unusual choices Dropped in around 8:30P ... place was busy with trivia night. Had to learn the ropes - order at the bar and wait patiently. Decided on a salad to split and pizza. Salad was fresh and tasty. Had a Greek theme with a few things I've never seen before. Topped with garbanzo beans. Dressing was a herb tzatziki sauce. The salad was an adventure. We loved it. Ordered the 10" pizza with mushroom pesto for the sauce, added sausage, pepperoni and black olives. Mozzarella was heavy and delicious. Crust was hand tossed baked to perfection. I love one well!! The food is good, the beer is great, and the arcade is top notch! One Well doesn't just have bar food, they have a menu worth checking out! The quality is higher than your average sit down restaurant with many craft beers to pair with it! The staff is friendly and takes care of the place well even on busy nights. Never a long wait for a drink! Speaking of busy, weekends and Fridays are always packed. Might be hard to find parking so plan for an off peak time if you are visiting those days! This is one of my favorite breweries in that state of Michigan. It is rare that a brewery should both good brew and food. The food menu really elevates the experience. I have seen this place expand over the years from small to larger. On one side of the business they have many pinball games and also have a nice covered patio now. We were in Kalamazoo for the weekend for a convention, and stopped here to have lunch before we left town on Sunday, based on all the great reviews here. My only regret is that there isn't a One Well location in north suburban Chicago. I LOVED it! There were plenty of food choices -- I had the Mush Love (grilled cheese, carmelized onions, and mushroom pesto), and added bacon. It was delicious! My husband had the Back To The Grinder, and loved it, too. But to me, what made this place one I want to come back to, over and over again were the beverages. I'm not a big beer drinker, but when I'm in the mood I like reds, ambers, browns, and non-hoppy blondes. There were several of these on the menu, and we found out I could get a 5-selection flight, too. So, I chose a red, an amber, and brown, and then to fill out the flight I was adventurous and chose a jalapeno beer/Bloody Mary combo, and a cherry cider. The first three beers were good, and I'd be happy to drink them again any time, but they weren't anything I'd drive 175 miles to Kalamazoo for. The last two, on the other hand, were absolute SHOW STOPPERS in my book. I brought eight cans of the jalapeno (which is outstanding when mixed with a little Bloody Mary mix or V8) and eight of the cherry cider home, and I'm nursing them carefully until the next time we drive by in a couple weeks, so we can stop and get more! So now I'm trying to figure out how much I can spend to keep myself stocked in these for awhile, since we may not be able to get back for a couple months! read more

Before I start this review, I want to preface it by stating that I have visited many different breweries around the country. With that being said - SHORT VERSION: Good beer accompanied by service that was less than expected; made the visit awkward, left without ordering more. LONG VERSION: Every time I visit a brewery for the first time, I order a flight to get an idea of the brewery. I don't do the whole, "Can I sample this one and that one and this one too." game. My wife and I intended on ordering a flight and food on our trip home. This was on a Thursday evening so they weren't overly busy. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a lady who asked us what we wanted. I asked to order a flight and she immediately became visibly frustrated, turned around without saying anything, and got me the flight paper without even acknowledging my wife. Obviously, her attitude made my wife a bit apprehensive to ask for a flight as well. Planning on ordering food while we were there, we quickly made the decision that this was not the place we wanted to stay. So, we drank our flight and left. We didn't get acknowledged by anyone else the entire time until it was time to pay. Although the beers were good, the service will keep us from going back. read more

Freaking awesome place! We were in Kzoo for an event, and stopped here after for lunch. Their pizza oven wasn't ready at the time, so I had to get a Cuban sandwich. My daughter got Mac and cheese (of course). Both came with lots of tasty homemade kettle chips, thick and tasty, not as crunchy as the kind from a bag. They also have a ton of vegetarian options. Don't skip the house root beer - my daughter let me try hers, it's amazing. Service is friendly and they bring your food to your picnic table when it's ready, after you order at the bar. And when you're done, of course you're going to play some games. They have tons of more modern pinballs, older and newer video games, and other things like bubble hockey and air hockey. First time here and we love this place. we were visiting from St.Louis, MO. We got beer flights and I think Bloody Xalapa is the best! It is Bloody Mary mixed with beer, comes with a slice of jalapeño and pickle! Amazing! Very clean place, well taken care of.. No food is allowed in game area but beers are welcome. They collabed with a local artist, there is some cool art all over the place, also they sell cool gifts. Pinball area has carpet flooring, feels comfortable. There are 55 pins inside. First things first, the arcade is a great idea. It's really cool to have the option to play some games while you wait for your food or after you've eaten. I hear there's trivia and stuff so that's great too. Now as a vegan, I must confess that this place is so close to being a 4/5 or maybe even a 5/5. As I say in all my reviews, most places only have a veggie burger for people like me, so I always appreciate when places have more options. This is the kind of place that has a couple extra options but they aren't all that great. -The Go Cluck Yourself sandwich was alright (no bacon of course, and subbed for plant based chicken and cheese). The chicken itself didn't have much of a taste. -The On The Reg sandwich was just okay (Thai chili sauce and plant based chicken). I gotta be honest, I don't remember it, which is sad. -The chips with the tomato hummus are the most memorable. The tomato hummus is so dang good, and I always appreciate homemade chips. I understand that a place like this isn't built intentionally for vegans. I appreciate that they've got a few vegan options on the menu. But those options are missing something extra. So unfortunately I was born with a speech impairment. This is something I have have to face all my life. Have a disability is obviously something no one signs up for. . For the most part, a majority of the people I have come across have been sympathetic. Due to my disability, I have dedicated my life to help others not so much as myself, but that struggle with a disability, that being autism. Today I was treated horribly because I struggle to give the waiter my order a.k.a. slurring my words by stuttering, something I even do when people ask me my name. . Mind you at this time I had only had one beer and entrées. I even spoke to the manager Brian Hill, who was nothing less disgusting. I gave them the opportunity to see that I completely coherent and then no way in intoxicated. However Mr. Hill decided to continue on his decision to judge people with disabilities. I feel like in this day and age that is absolutely disgusting. I will never be reinforcing this establishment again and I recommend those who either have disabilities or know someone with a disability to do the same so they can avoid being treated the same way that I was treated today today. Once again, it's disgusting when an establishment takes a stance on choosing people who have a disability and not accepting that not everyone is the same way as they are.
