Stopped in after months of being curious and so glad we did! Beers are really good and original. I didn't dislike anything I tried...even a peanut butter porter and I'm not typically a porter fan. Blanc slate and mimosa sour were our favorites! BYO food...no kitchen but super cool staff and worth a visit

I love Brewery Outré! The beers are unique and really good. I love the ambience of the brewery-- it has a lot of natural light and comfortable areas to meet with friends. Wednesdays are trivia nights and are so much fun. The service is impeccable-- Ted, Travis, Alex, and Joey are very knowledgeable and are the best!

We stopped by around 1 PM on a Saturday! It was super busy and packed! I love that it's family-friendly! It was fun seeing all of the kids running around and playing games - there are SO many games (two full rooms) from air hockey to arcades games to darts to duckpin bowling to pinball machines to pool tables - they literally have it all! Our daughter enjoyed playing ALL the games while my husband and I enjoyed our beer flights and waited for our food! Food: Our daughter ordered the Kids Mac and Cheese with Kettle Chips. The mac and cheese was cold and dry and her kettle chips were cold and stale. She did not enjoy her meal at all! I wonder if her food sat out while my husband and I's food was being prepared as my kettle chips were more fresh and actually tasted good! I ordered the Cuban with Kettle Chips. This was probably the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had (and I have had quite a few Cuban sandwiches in my lifetime)! The pork was smoked and absolutely delicious and tender! They were not skimpy on the pork either (like some other restaurants can be when ordering a Cuban sandwich)! The bread was perfectly toasted too! My husband ordered Buffalo Wingdings. These were perfectly smoked and fall-off-the-bone good as well (maybe a little too fall-off-the-bone for a wing though)! However, the chicken wings still tasted great! Drinks: My Flight - Straight Forward, Grandpa's Hard, Bad Adz, BBA Wizard Potion, and Bogged Down. Husband's Flight - Stained Glass, Ripped Right, Bad Add, Rogue Red, and Simco. These were all good and we enjoyed them! We will definitely stop by again if we are ever back in the area!

It was very clean and relaxing, although some of the tables are a little packed into the tiny venue. My guess is the service behind the bar were the two owners, and one bartender they were able to get during this pandemic, all whom were very friendly. Unfortunately, I got one wrong beer in my flight (all the names of the names of the beer are scientific-related, so I'm guessing it's easy to get confused), but the mistaken was still pretty good. The Beer: I had a flight and the 4 flavors were all very good. The variety they demonstrated wide had quite a few unique beers, such as a grape cream ale, milk stout, IPA, raspberry wheat, a blood orange something, Pineapple seltzer etc. etc. I found that a lot of their beers have a very similarly cultivated flavor profile that is a mild flavor but every beer always has a very clean after taste. The beers are served lightly chilled, but not ice cold, (probably to let the flavors stand out). My guess is that the beer might not be for everyone, but I think overall, the beers are made well and are easily drinkable. I don't think they had food or a kitchen - I don't recall seeing a menu. But overall, I was impressed by Apoptosis, and highly recommend giving it a try.

Walking in the area is open and still in need of work but you can see they are working towards that currently. We reviewed the menu and learned that this was a Meadery at heart. We didn't know this previously but think it is great because there not many of them, let alone in Kalamazoo. We scanned through the tap list and picked out 4 to try and sat down. The owner was sitting at another table with someone that sounded like somewhat of an interview. After a little while he got up and came over to our table and asked if he could sit down with us and show us the vision for the brewery. We welcomed him to join us, we really love talking with beertenders and owners when they have passion in what they do. He had a book with photos of his vision which is going to be Viking based (the name makes that obvious) with some Thor inspiration. You could hear his passion and love for the brewery and what he does when talking about the things to come which made it that much better. Everything looked super cool and I can't wait to see it once completed. The owner shared his past history prior to the brewery which was in films and music, Ben couldn't have related more to this man if he tried. LOL. Be sure to stop in now to try their tasty meads and then once their renovations have been completed, we will be following them on social media to see their progress.

I felt it was gonna be way more fun drinking alone than sitting around listening to two old grumps talk about the same stories of their younger days that I have heard over and over as a child. LOL. I was 100% correct. When I was talking in, I normally there was a food truck outside and behind that they were setting up for a wrestling match. I kinda thought it was funny because that is just something Ben would have loved to stay for if he had been with me. Inside was fairly business with everyone there getting ready for the matches but that didn't disrupt the friendly service that I had the first time I was there. Even though I haven't been to Wax Wings many times, each of the sours that I have tried have been delicious, I even brought some canned home with me to Florida!!! I look forward to the next visit!
