Our 2005 Ford F350 diesel recently broke down during a camping/touring trip to Sequoia N.P. We were stranded on the side of the road for over 5 hours before the big flat-bed tow truck picked us up (in the dark). The following day we were told by the larger and closer Ford dealership that they couldn't help us because they were booked for Friday and weren't open on Saturdays nor did they have a transmission guy available. We called Monarch Ford (not knowing even where Exeter was located!) and we were treated with respect and concern by John in the service department. By luck, they are open on Saturdays and their transmission guy would also be working on Saturday (not his normal work day). John told us to have the truck towed to them and they would do their best to get our truck repaired and back on the road. The truck was delivered on Friday morning. The parts had to be shipped from Sacramento. The parts arrived early Saturday morning and we picked up our truck on Saturday afternoon before closing time. Amazing! I had already anticipated extending our campground stay. My husband and I would like to send a big THANK YOU out to the capable service department at Monarch Ford....especially John and the transmission specialist. I purchased a used 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 with 149,800 miles from Monarch Ford about five months ago. While the sales process was smooth, I began experiencing transmission issues within the first week of ownership. I reported the problem immediately, and although the service department acknowledged there was an issue, it was not handled with the urgency or accountability I expected. Communication was inconsistent, and the responsibility to resolve the problem felt pushed aside despite how soon it occurred after purchase. Now, just five months later, my truck is in a transmission shop requiring a full rebuild costing around $6,000. This has been a very frustrating experience, and I believe greater accountability should be taken when serious issues arise so soon after a vehicle is sold. Bought a 2016 Ford Mustang GT. But! This isn't our first car bought at Monarch Ford. We have bought all of our cars there for 25 years. NEVER have I had a problem with a car I purchased there, new or used. If I ever had routine issues, I bought warrantes and it was always covered as promised. They have always been honest and my whole family buys from there! I've tried to buy a car at another dealership before and got so frustrated I walked out. Never have I walked out on buying a car. Bought an 08 Honda Accord Coupe from this dealer. They are patient and work to get you financed. "IF" you come up with a reasonable down payment you will be driving away in the vehicle you want. If your a bit more patient they will call multiple finance companies to get you financed with $0.00 down. I was going to rate them 5 stars but they put on a "NO HAGGLE FRONT" and eventually worked with me and dropped the price by $1000 off marketed price. Andrew took care of me on this visit for an oil change and tire rotation. His attention to detail is admirable and I was in and out within an hour. I made an appointment on the phone and that seems to make a big difference.
