Old man working parts department doesn't know what he's talking about. Ford dealership in Visalia isn't much better but it's a step up compared to Exeter. I had my truck at Visalia Ford service department and it took 4 trips and a total of 9 days for them to get nothjng fixed, had the same problems after day 9 that I did when I first took the truck in, but theirs hope ladies and gentlemen and that's in the name of Monarch Fords service department. One day and they fixed what was perplexing the other guys for 9 days and when they finished it they even delivered the my truck back to my house! Almost purchased a used vehicle (2008 Jeep Liberty) but was turned down when I wanted the price lower due to several major issues with the vehicle after I took it to my own mechanic. Made two offers but the manager still refused. Infact, this business acted like they didn't want to have NOTHING to do with me! I was treated shabby and like sh.. I asked if they gave Military discounts after I shown them my V.A. card and Military I.D...... No Military discounts for used vehicles...only NEW? Bad attitudes and no working with the price?! That ain't my kind of service! Felt like I was taken advantage of for being a proud Veteran!!! That's my personal feelings!!! I'll go where Veterans are appreciated!!! This Jeep Liberty ain't worth the price for used...they're asking waaay too much after I pointed out the issues wrong with this vehicle! They did not work a deal with me whatsoever! Tried to get a quote for a part that they said they couldn't do so without a card number took my card number, ordered the part without telling me the cost or confirming if i agreed to be charged for it. They lied and said they outlined their terms of service on a receipt that was never signed. Chance the GM over there is extremely unprofessional and rude. They record calls but he denied that they did this time, said his employees are infallible and that i am the only one to ever claim that they made this mistake because they have 10 wonderful years of perfect service. Which looking on here makes his claim laughable. They refused to refund me and offered to repair the piece for free. The piece i already paid them to repair and ordered my own part for. They could have at any time used this piece and saved me from not being able to return the one i ordered the same day they apparently canceled this order. If you are a veteran stay far away from here. Chance is so unprofessional and laughed when i asked him if he liked taking money from veterans on limited income which from the reviews here seems like he has issues with. read more

We have this ford 30 days and have had nothing but problems with this POS F250 loses power and is unsafe to drive. I have less than 200 miles on this truck took it back to Monarch ford and they will not do nothing about it. Word to the wise do not deal with Monarch ford and if you buy a used car from any dealer make them warranty the car for at least 4 mouths. Bought a 64000 mile truck with a "full service" claimed by them. Just did my first oil change since I bought the truck and the oil didn't even register on the dip stick. When I picked the truck up they lost the keys to the fuel door and said they would totally refund me full cost but after I sent receipt only recieved half of what it cost. I will be generous and give it a 2 star because staff are very kind and polite but they were not honest from the beginning. I was looking for a used 2011 Subaru STI they had in their lot, I emailed with Chance few times, he sent me pictures of the car. It wasnt sent in the pictures, I found out after 3.5 hour drive, Apparently trunk had the biggest sub woofers I have seen (most useless one too) car had 0 trunk space, maybe 2 backpacks would fit but thats it. MOST IMPORTANTLY, car was repainted, I believe it was in an accident. Driver side fender, front bumper and side skirts were re-painted, I was able to see clear coat had drips and side skirts had even dirt under the clear coat. Side sti bedges and rear trunk garnish was painted black with spray paint, how could I say? Because white paint was showing from the edges and it comes same as cars color from factory. Front bumper grill was sprayed after as well that it also had excessive white paint spray showing on nearest black panels. Anyhow I wasted my 7 hours of drive (3.5 each way) and 80 bucks of gas to see this piece of crap. I wish they were more open from the begining instead of saying clean car wish they showed me the trunk before and shot close up body panels pictures. I didn't have the best experience at Monarch Ford. In retrospect I felt they could have been more honest and perhaps cared about the person and not just the sale. I'm sure it was clear that I didn't know too much about car buying, and the fact that I am just out of a bankruptcy puts me in a place with few options or so I thought. I went in with a used car in mind, when in reality I would come to find out that I could have qualified for a new car. I left with this junky little go kart of a 2016 Ford Fiesta. Transmission was already hitching at 6K miles and there was 0 room for my family. They made it seem like I was getting the deal of the century and I believed it. The real kicker was that I specifically mentioned how important bluetooth and music was to me.. and would you believe the bluetooth in that car would not connect to my Galaxy 9 because the system was too outdated. After the purchase I had to leave to pick up my kids and the salesperson said to come back and he would take a look at the bluetooth. I was back within 15 minutes and he was gone. Everyone was gone and he didn't even call to tell me he was leaving and set an appt. It became apparent I would not keep this car. And I would have still most likely done a trade with them in-house but nobody seemed to want to try. I was told to wait 6mo to a year then trade in. Lazy service in my opinion. Idk in this society it is important to do your best to help one another and that was not my experience at Monarch Ford. Too much phoney. I am persistent, and I was able to trade in the go kart for an SUV that me and my family will be happy in. Hyundai in Fresno had no problem helping me out, and getting me financed for a high amount at lower interest with a post bk credit score (and an upside down trade in!). All in all I wish I would have bypassed Ford, but I hope you see this and remember to look out for your customers (single moms, low car knowledge, first timers, etc.) who need honesty and not just to be another sale. read more

Service Department is not the best. My check engine light has been on and off for months. The light turns on and gears do not shift, but it only last a few minutes before the light turns back off and all goes back to normal. Well I went to get it checked out and the light happened to be off and I was told to bring it back in when it was on. Okay. I go back in when it was on and they told me they couldn't look at it and I should set up an appointment. I told them I just need to know what the light meant before it turns back off. I'm not asking to fix my transmission today!!! It literally takes 2 minutes to stick the code reader in and get a diagnose!!! I don't know what to do anymore my car acts up randomly only for few minutes a couple times a week which makes it difficult to get it looked at. Waited a whole day for a call back in our credit application which I had to call to find out and we where turned down by one place and the other wanted a down payment and our monthly payments was that of a new car. When I called to talk to the manager all he said was sorry the person must of gotten busy and could not call you back. Total disrespect, I became disabled after getting into a car accident a month before I was to report for boot camp for the Marines back in 2001. Where do I even start. I took my 2015 Ford F-150 to get a key programmed which was OEM push to start key fob, they weren't even able to program it at least that's what they said, I believed them since it's FORD, next thing you know they start saying I need to switch out an antenna for the key not detecting I said okay I bring it in they stayed with it 3 full days and I come over on the second day to check up on it and they told me that the new antenna/computer didn't fix the problem so now I leave it there the next day which was the last day when I picked it up and they tell me they were looking at the wiring something was wrong and still couldn't find why the truck wouldn't let me program the key. I told them just reassemble it back and give it back to me I was frustrated and angry how they just wanted me to be paying diagnostics labor charge. Got charged 600 for nothing they didn't even fix anything!!!! Same day I take it to a locksmith and was able to program the damn key in 2 minutes. What does that say about the dealer service department, I'm pretty sure nothing was wrong with the truck how can a locksmith be able to program a damn key but not the FORD I was screwed over and beware to never take your car there they make up lies and tell you it's this and that never true!!!!!!! read more

I bought my car at this place and they've always been nice to me. Especially the lady who is always there this time she was not and a guy named johnathon was. Well he asked me if I was here for a service and I told him I came for a recall he asked me for my keys and rushed out. He checked the mileage and whatever else they do then told me to sign and asked me for the keys. Never did he ask for the paper. I waited 45 min and now I got an oil change. Which caught me off guard. And I dont get paid until tommorrow. So I told them I thought It was free cause at this point I still didnt know that I had an oil change instead of the recall service. Then the lady who normally attends me asks what the problem is i tell her that I came for a recall not an oil change then she asks me for the paper. I felt bad because I couldn't pay them. Then she told me okay well do you have time I told her yes. So the reason I gave it a low rating is because he lied said he never got a recall paper all day especially mine. That I specifically asked for a service. Oh and for anyone who has a recall apparently your not suppose to park where it tells you to pull up for a service. And he wants to put a paper up so he doesn't get confused. I didn't know apparently I have to know so thanks for talking shit. Even though I've been her for 4 recalls already no one has ever told me where I should and should not park my car for a recall service. So now I'm mad because he knows he fucked up on his part too but tells everyone I never said anything about the damn recall. Maybe I did not say it louder and I'm sorry for that. Wasn't going to write a review but after these crooks charged my 76 year old friend 2000 $ and kept her truck 2 weeks I am sick to my stomach that this place is in business. I myself had purchased a 2017 fusion in the Bay Area with a platinum service package good at any ford dealership. When I took my car for a oil change to these crooks in Exeter the advised me that my car needed some mechanical repairs. Lol like it's a 2017 for God's sake. No kind of shame at all. So a say ok thanks for letting me know. Let's do everything and take care of this I want my car in tip top condition. At this point they are asking for payment and I say well I got platinum coverage and it's a 2017 so fix whatever is wrong with it. It is your responsibility to fix any issues. His response was o I didn't know you had a platinum warranty. When I picked my car up later that day I look at paperwork and repairs done and recommended work but low and behold my car was in perfect condition with no issues. This place is ran by crooks. If the stoke 2000 $ from a 76 year old woman what do you think they will do to you? The power of words and how they are said to someone is powerful. You can still be manipulated and taken advantage of even if the words used are nice and well spoken. My husband and I purchased a used diesel truck in January, the buying process was fine. The employees were helpful and were told that all the maintenance on the truck was taken care of and that nothing should happen to the truck but if something did to give them a call to see what they can do. Well yesterday the exhaust started to blow out white smoke and two our complete surprise labor and parts is almost $2000! When my husband called the dealership he was told that there was nothing they can do and that we were on our own. They were completely unprofessional and did not even suggest us to bring it in for them to even take a look at it. Took truck in to have the fuel pumps changed after I had scanned and diagnosed it myself and after I take it in they come up with different problems like a bad ECM. They tell me this specific ECM is not available and would have to find a remanufactured one. After getting the ECM changed the problem was still there and the day I get it back I all of a sudden started getting leaks places it wasn't leaking before. After spending about 4 grand problem wasn't fixed so I took it to another local shop who diagnosed and fixed first time. this is just a warning took my truck in to have the AC checked and was told many problems. to the amount of 2500.00 a shop just checked it out and NO LEAKS but a clutch problem. had it repaired for about 300.00 So be very careful when you go in for a repair. I must say i was told of a leak, after that two shops checked it out NO LEAKS. So after the clutch repair put about 200 miles AC works great. Just seams to me they were going to sell me everything that bolted to the compressor to cover there own backside. I guess try to find a good small shop the can do repairs not just change parts.. read more

We PAID a hitch to be out in my husbands new truck and we told Sales men, who by the way never called me back when I was inquiring about the truck I had to call them again and again, my husband goes to pick his truck and they put the wrong hitch in after we spent $210 for ball we needed and wanted the Ford hitch that comes in the newer trucks. Now we have rails in our bed and everything he didn't want. Makes me very upset my husband works his butt off to not even get what he needed for work and wanted as well. No now I have to put more money out to buy him a trailer for his job because he can't use the bed of his truck Merry Freaking Christmas. Sad day I had to tell my kids and foster kids we can't go to knots berry farm while my husband is home from work for 5 days because he has to buy a trailer boy it keeps getting better. They hand us one key say that's all they find and it's $$350 for another key. They charged us $500 for a hitch we already had paid for and could have taken out of our other truck. I won't even return for service to this place oh and gave us empty on fuel truck. Tulare Ford would have NEVER treated us like this. Bought a car from them yesterday and they filled it up for me and paid to have the out of state plates transferred. I'm stressed enough over Christmas and now I'm really stressed because my husband is not happy with his choice. To get even better the passenger mirror doesn't fold in so we get to pay to fix that.
