Scheduled an appointment for service two weeks in advance. This shop was recommended by RepairPal. I arrived five minutes before my appointment (7:25 for a 7:30am appointment). By 7:50am, no one had arrived, nor was anyone answering the phone. Ultimately, I left to get on with my day. I've tried calling multiple times over the last couple hours to reschedule. No answer. They installed parts into my car but an oil sensor was needed to complete the repair as a check engine light was constantly turning on. I made the appointment for the next Friday when I'm not working and was told to be cautious with my driving until the part would be received. I called to verify the appointment and am now told they will be closed on the Friday. No one called me. Now my vehicle has to wait an additional week and the mechanic who scheduled me never put me on the schedule and the woman who scheduled my next appointment didn't take my name or type of car. read more

Mini Cooper/ Specialty Foreign owners beware !!! I wanted to love this shop a truely did but the way they conduct business seems very unfair. I called first thing in the morning to get an appointment for my Mini Cooper ( keep in mind I have a BMW, infinity and a chevy truck so I've been to my fair share of auto shops ) I was greeted by Lori who went on to explain she had an opening for the day I was requesting so as any other normal customer does I requested the price of the diagnostic she went on to tell me that the price ranged from $140 to 200 this is the FIRST time I've ever heard a diagnostic pre-check being a ranged price, so I requested an explanation, I was happy for her to explain to me the logic behind their ranged price for my mini Cooper but that ranged price seems as if they are using the fact that there is not a mini Cooper dealership for people to go to here in the Central Valley area. She went on to explain to me that in the event that a code was read for each individual code would be an ADDITIONAL $85 so from $145-200 and then for every single code $85 that is ridiculous so you're telling me someone can go to you to get their car diagnosed and end up with a bill that's over $500 because of their codes alone? Before there's repairs !?! What a RIP OFF!!! MINI dealer doesn't even charge in this way it's completely a monopoly game of we know we are one of two or three shops that service mini coopers in the area so let's take advantage! I would never come to a location that uses that fact to rip off its locals . Very disappointing. read more

I have been driving for 66 years---American, British, Italian and Japanese sedans and mini wagons. And never have I been so surprised, so thrilled -- jubilant! -- with auto mechanics as I was Tuesday when I picked up my "classic" 1994 Mercury, which I thought might be seeing its last days. I was afraid I might be without a car indefinitely. I was new to the Auto Shop after losing my regular mechanic to cancer. He'd been a rare find. Not many mechanics will take on an old wannabee-classic like mine. But Jim and Jesse said they would. That was great, just what I was hoping for---but Jesse had more good news. After giving it a thorough diagnostic, he said they could even fix the damaged front end, which I thought was strictly body shop work. For a year, I'd been unable to drive my car at night or in the rain while looking for a replacement header panel and/or a body shop willing to take it on. Old Mercury's aren't left sitting around salvage yards for long. I never imagined that a repair of the original parts was even possible. The headlights were all caddywonkers, the base was torqued at an angle, and the materials are old! But Sean did it. And in only a few hours. And affordably. I am still shocked, amazed---and feeling very blessed. Thank you all, the talented crew and good people at the Auto Shop on Main Street!! read more

I am beyond grateful with Leslie, Jim, and Jason!! They are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AND AMAZING!! My family and I were on our way to Disneyland and well my vehicle decided it needed to take a poop on me!! I called in and explained our situation how we lived 3 hrs away and needed the vehicle back by Sunday afternoon. Leslie explained the protocol!! She was so polite and understanding!! When we arrived around 3ish pm, Leslie and Jim explained the process said they would call me the next day with an estimate!! To not worry they would have us back up and running even if they had to be in shop till midnight!! They were both so pleasant to speak to I knew right then I was in good hands!! Next day around 11, Jason called me with a diagnosis and gave me a price very reasonable, honest, and recommend some other work be done at the time so I wouldn't have to do it at a later time!! I said go ahead!! At around 4ish pm on Friday, I had a call from Jim letting me know my vehicle was up and running!! I asked if he could leave it out in the street for me and he said absolutely not!! I will come up to the shop on Sunday morning and put it out for you I wouldn't want any other breaking in to your vehicle or for it to become a target!! They treat us with respect, so understanding, and amazing service!! What else could a customer ask for than to be treated like family!! They are up to speed with todays culture with a text system allowing quick response. They had a mechanic talk to us learning more about the car prior to the work. I took my car in for an oil change and hey presto, it was discovered that I'd somehow lost the plastic shield under the vehicle. They ordered a replacement and installed it early one morning. Horrible! Do NOT bring your vehicle here! Read this whole review before even considering. First of alI, I usually do most my own mechanic work and am no dummy when it comes to cars and repair. I recently Had changed my brake pads on my 99 saturn that I use as a daily driver for work. After changing the pads I was still having a soft brake pedal. I could of continued to troubleshoot and fixed it myself but I had to take a trip out of town and needed the vehicle when I got back. so i decided I'd have them complete the job. All I wanted was for them to adjust the brakes to be tighter. After doing the work and quoting me 140$ i sent my fiance to pick up the vehicle as I was still out of town. Not having knowledge of what they had quoted me, when she picked up the car they charged her 240$ and that's just the beginning ... Not only do my brakes feel nearly the same but while servicing the car THEY broke off a lug bolt and charged ME for the parts and labor, wtf!?! And it only gets worse from there....less than two weeks prior i had changed the oil and not even 48hrs before I brought it to "the auto shop" I happened to check the oil out of habit and it was at capacity, Im positive. however they somehow still charged me for 2 quarts of oil saying there was a substantial leak near the filter housing which was a complete lie. I park it in my driveway every night and there has never been any oil leaking. THE WORST PART THOUGH- while they had my car somehow they managed to crack my drivers side fender (its plastic) and they never mentioned this to me nor my fiance. By the time I got home Friday evening they were closed for the weekend so I have yet to confront them about the damage. But judging by the way they lied about the work, failed to mention the damage they did to my fender (which was obvious), and charged me for parts that they broke themselves. I expect them to give me the run around. Bottom line, they ripped me off and instead of taking responsibility for the damage they did to my fender, they just said nothing hoping I wouldn't notice. The quality of work was poor and I wouldn't trust or recommend them to anyone who actually values your vehicle and honest mechanic work. I have no way of getting home aside from my bicycle. Thanks to the Auto Shop for not even offering me a lift home or a loaner car.
