Would love to attend next class on May 7th but I'm not fully vaccinated - would fully inoculated suffice or how about I just wear a mask all class?

She took care of all the set up and clean up, so we could fully focus on our sessions and without having to worry about the kitchen. My favorite thing about Susan is her food philosophy. She only sources organic and local ingredients - and I mean really local since she gets many of her ingredients from the San Rafael farmers market. Her menu is colorful, nutritious, and plant forward, which to me is super important when trying to keep a team energized through 8+ hour meetings! You can tell that she cooks for her clients the same way she would cook for her own family. She doesn't take any shortcuts and puts so much love in her food that you can feel and taste it! Susan is also extremely professional. She went above and beyond in coordinating directly with our venue's property manager to become an approved caterer for the site, and organized site visits before our offsite to ensure everything would run smoothly. During our offsite, she was respectful of the flow of our agenda and was flexible when we fell off schedule (which we often did). My team was utterly impressed by Susan. Not only was her food out of this world, but she is kind and professional, and everyone was very comfortable having her basically in the same room with us for the majority of our meeting. We can't wait for an opportunity to work with her again!

She was a joy to work with during the menu planning process and great company during the event. After reaching out to Susan through email, she scheduled a phone meeting to discuss the menu. She was personable and easy to talk to, which made it easy to share with her my vision for the event, from which she had so many thoughtful suggestions and even event planning tips. We exchanged a couple more emails after that to fine tune the details. On the day of the event, she was on time and put together beautiful platters of food. She suggested an Italian theme (since the bride is getting married in Italy), so Susan prepared pizzettas and pita chips with various dips (her harisa dip was a crowd favorite) for appetizers, a beautiful salad with grapefruit and little gem lettuce, handmade pasta with kale pesto, roasted butternut squash with a yogurt sauce, braised chicken thighs with lemon herb sauce and a decadent flourless chocolate cake with lavender infused whipped cream for dessert. Everything was made from scratch (pasta, pita chips, everything!) and from fresh, in-season ingredients from the farmer's market. The food was tasty and healthful (so many compliments from the ladies at dinner), exactly what I wanted for our wellness-themed bachelorette party. I wholeheartedly recommend Susan and would book her again in a heartbeat for another event. Thank you for everything Susan!

Richmond neighborhood in SF…read moreis known for its mix of cultures, but Mashav masterfully uncovers all the hidden secrets and gems - Secrets only someone who lives in this community is familiar with. And she does that through food and hand-picked dishes that you will never uncover without a guide. Even though locations may change per tour, our group tasted a mix of cultures and got some stories behind the dishes, the restaurants, and their owners. Few examples - * Russian cuisine - Herring with a pickled onion on fresh bread * Indian street food - I was surprised how much I enjoyed this vegan street snack - I would have never ordered anything without meat, and I dislike spinach, but the fried spinach snack was mind-blowingly good. * Mexican - Quesadilla with plantain. Again, no meat but it was soooooo good. * Chinese - Glazed Pork and pork-filled bun I won't spoil the surprise for some of the other locations. And more, and more - Total of about 7-8 places. You won't stay hungry, guaranteed. The walk itself is not challenging; there are no hills to overcome, even though it's San Francisco. Don't wait - Just go!

Our crowd of 100 was pretty much all meat eaters but they raved about the food, how flavorful and delicious it was. We also didn't tell our guests it was a vegan meal and no one knew. Someone even asked me why I was eating meat when I ate one of the plant-based meatballs. Highly recommend him for any event. It's so wonderful to have plant-based options that make catering and events more sustainable.

Stephane came to my house before the party, so that I could pour the wine that I wanted to match the appetizers. This allowed us to taste an array of components to see if they would (or would not) pair with the wine. Stephane had to pair 6 cava/prosecco/champagnes (2 "brioche-forward," 2 "citrus-forward," 2 "berry-forward"), 1 white (unoaked chardonnay), 3 reds (aged Napa cab, Spanish fruit-forward, Italian), and an aged port. He was very serious about getting the pairing "right" and was a lot of fun - we had a good time *doing* the pairing! He came to my house and he and his sous chef/helper Fred were like dervishes getting the food prepared out. It was *gorgeous* and *delicious.* Plus they left my kitchen cleaner than they found it! The event was a *raving* success! Stephane will make exactly what *you* want. This trumps any of the other companies or businesses that I myself could find. They weren't willing to be *so* specific or do a "pre-tasting" with the wine. Stephane came to the pre-tasting pretty sure about what would pair with what - but after our tasting, we were able to scratch some appetizers, craft others, etc. - each of us working to our strengths. Stephane cares about making your party an Event in every perfect detail!
