My go to momo spot in Jackson's Heights. They are open late so that's dope. They also take venmo if you don't have cash on you!! The dumplings were chunky, filled with chicken (it's halal!), and comes with sauce. The chili sauce is SPICY. But anywho, they have the best momos in Queens!! I want to try other things on the menu like there spring rolls.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mom's momos, opting for the delicious chicken ones complemented by a flavorful sauce. The hot sauce added a nice kick. While I wished for outdoor seating, being a food truck limits that. Amidst various momo trucks at the intersection in queens, I'm happy I chose Mom's. I sampled the steamed chicken momos, finding them tasty even later in the day when I brought it home. The chicken was filling and hit the spot. If you love spice and flavor, it might lean toward the milder side so you could ask more extra hot sauce. If you don't have cash, no worries since they also take Venmo.

Good momos but not excellent. When you order, the sweet lady pan fries them to add a tinge of char and to heat them. What I feel they lack is scallions and the flavorful ingredients other competitors retain. Phayul restaurant and amdo truck are better. Just my honest opinion.

I ordered the steamed chicken momos from this food truck after being recommended by my cousin. Having not tried momos prior, I was excited get my hands on their classic menu item. First of all, the flavor was so different (in a good way!) compared to other dumpling-type foods I've had. Each of the momos were fairly large and overall the price point was affordable. I did question, however, how fresh the food was given its texture and presentation (slightly slimier than steamed dumplings I've had in the past and a couple momos were ripped). That being said, I am glad to have tried them. Flavor: the combination of the creamy white sauce with the spicy red was perfectly balanced and definitely elevated the flavors of the momos. If you can handle spicy foods, I highly recommend just drizzling both sauces over the plate.

This was my first time trying momo's, it was late night after 2 am and not many options, we had the beef momo & chicken momo. They just ok, the floor around the truck was dirty with trash thrown on the floor. Don't think I would go back here.

We ordered some momos when we saw their truck during some type of street festival near Central Park. We ordered steamed chicken momos and weren't disappointed. The staff wasn't the friendliest but they were trying to get through the line. I would have liked some explanation on the sauces that were provided. They also told me they don't have Mountain Dew, even though their menu showed a picture of one. Overall, the food doesn't lie and we really enjoyed trying the momos. They weren't steaming hot once we found a spot in the park but thats not their fault since we had to walk a few blocks. I definitely recommended finding this food truck and giving Tibetan momos a shot!

The food truck was outside the Fifth Hammer Brewery. We ordered the combo option - which is your choice of momos and then a spring roll. The beef momo was nothing to write home about. The pork buns were hoisin sauce forward and not juicy.

What you need to know: - Found their truck near the 74th Street - Roosevelt subway station in Jackson Heights, where are a handful of momo trucks. - Food was made to order and was fair fast. - Very friendly guy, service with a smile! - Closed on Sundays. - Prices are comparable to the other trucks. What we ordered: - Chicken momos (pan fried), price $6 - This was a clear winner! Pan fried cost $1 extra but is definitely worth the money. Pan fried to perfection and provides a nice contrast of crunch to the momos. The chicken meat was also juicy, but didn't have too much flavor. - Beef momos (steamed) $5 - The momos were juicy, but the meat itself was dry and bland. I also would have enjoyed it a tad more if there were more herbs or something contrasting the meat like onions, it tasted like a ball of meat. The steamed beef was definitely dry compared to the pan fried chicken momos.

I was very pleased with the selection this food truck offers. I really enjoyed the momos and will definitely go back again!

The space itself is pretty big with plenty of seating. There aren't many outlets though, so I'd recommend charging your laptop beforehand if you're planning to get some work done. Yessss! Momos of every flavor, cooking style and filling…read morehere, yum! Met up with friends here for dinner on a freezing winter weekend evening. The store was on the emptier side probably given the weather outside, with only about a third of their 30 or so seats taken. Seating is first come first serve, no formal waiter service, you order at the counter and they bring the food when it's ready. Staff were helpful in explaining what each item was, the protein options (a choice of chicken or beef for each), and level of spiciness (not too spicy though the accompanying sauces had a kick). We ordered-- - Kothey momo $9.99: selected the beef filling, this was a lightly pan-fried dumpling with a thin dough wrapper and savory minced beef filling. Served with a medium spicy dipping sauce. Good! - Thai soup momo $12.99: came in a curry broth with vegetables, my friend ordered the chicken momos and they came piping hot in the soup. Tasty and warm comfort food for a very cold evening. - Chili momo $11.99: deep fried and served with a tangy sweet and sour chili sauce, peppers and onions, my friend ordered the beef version. The spice level on the chili sauce was pretty mild. Yummy. - Samosa chaat momo $11.99: sprinkled with diced tomato, onion, cilantro doused with green chutney and sitting in a shallow bed of yogurt sauce, these deep fried momo were so flavorful. - Tandoori momo $11.99: I'm not sure if these were baked in a tandoori oven but they were sure seasoned with spices to taste like it , and delicious! Tender and juicy chicken filling. - Sandeko momo $11.99: another deep fried momo (this time I asked for beef) topped with a chunky sauce of soybeans, tomato and onion, filled with minced meat. This was another tasty plate! All the momos we ordered came with 8 pieces, while some of the basic flavors come with a couple more pieces. A single plate is a moderate amount of food for a meal though we ended up ordering six different types to share and try. Each stood out in a different way and I'd heartily recommend all. If there was just one critique it was since it was so cold that night (in the teens Fahrenheit) and no outside wind door that whenever a new customer or delivery pickup driver came in, a rush of freezing cold air also came in. It was quite chilly inside the restaurant for that reason and I had to eat with my jacket on. However that didn't detract from the tasty momos, and I'll certainly be back!

I've walked past this place a few times and was intrigued so I decided to give it a try…read more It has a beautiful, well decorated interior and was kept warm and cozy on a snowy day. They provide complimentary popcorn, which is well seasoned and rich with ghee. I was seated in a chair that was very low to the ground. While outfitted with comfy cushions, I was not sure what the proper was to sit on this chair was and I was too embarrassed to ask. My best guess is that it's meant to be a criss cross applesauce type situation, but I had on wet snow boots and didn't particularly want to do that. This isn't a complaint, but just something to consider for anyone with mobility concerns who might be considering visiting. There are some normal style chairs in the front of the restaurant that I'm sure I would have been switched to had I requested as such. Anyway, onto the food. I ordered the "Lahana Ko Faarzi Bhoj" which arrived on a large round platter with a variety of different dishes. I am very new to this type of food, and most of it was completely unfamiliar to me, which was very exciting. The grain at the center of this platter is "chiura," a rice product which has been pounded flat and dried. It has a light and crunchy texture, and pairs well with the thinner, wet curries it was served with as it really soaks up the liquid and expands in size. I've never had this before and it was very interesting to try. The platter comes with two bowls of warm curry, one with black eyed peas and maybe some potato and the other was darker with meat which I preferred. Both were rich and deep in flavor, but the darker one (pictured on the right) was so savory and well balanced- definitely my favorite part of the meal. They both have some heat to them, the kind that builds at the back of the palette throughout the meal, but none of this food was excessively spicy. The main plate has a ring of various cold dishes around the edge, all of which were unfamiliar to me so I can't necessarily identify them. My favorites were the pieces of well seasoned dark meat chicken and the deep fried egg in the center, but it also included some pickled elements, some ground meat and a small skewer, which I found to be quite tough. I really enjoyed trying new, interesting food in such a beautiful space. The servers were kind and there are many other items on the menu that I'm interested to try. I feel lucky to have this place nearby.

I appreciated the creativity and the cuisine-specificity of the cocktails, and the bartenders are super friendly. The food is there as a nice accompaniment to the drinks, but if you're looking for a Himalayan meal experience and no drinks, I'd probably point you elsewhere in the Jackson Heights neighborhood up Broadway.
