This is a small restaurant in North Bend that we saw had high ratings on YELP. WELL DESERVED. The food was great and priced lower than we'd expected. I think it's a local hangout, as well. This place was such a great find while staying in the area. The staff was so friendly and took great care of us! It really feels like you're eating in "mom's kitchen" with one big happy family. I had the Mom's Hashbrown OBrien and it was probably the best tasting hashbrowns I've ever had! Also ordered a cinnamon roll and it was homemade and delicious. Looking for a good breakfast place this is it. We went here because of a recommendation from a local. The restaurant is a bit small but accommodated the 4 of us easily. We got the veggie omelette and biscuits and gravy. The gravy was obviously homemade and very good. The hashbrowns were also hand cut and very good. Our server was one of the nicest ladies that we have met here. The food was served hot and we didn't have to wait a terribly long time for it. Our coffee was refilled often. Based on other reviews we tried Mom's Kitchen. As expected, the place was full to capacity, but we were seated within 5 min. Our server was super friendly. We were able to place our order quickly, however, we waited 40 minutes to receive our two breakfasts. In fact, a couple sitting at the counter who arrived after we ordered were served before us! As we waited for our food our water glasses were filled time and time again, with no mention about the status of our meal, and no apology when we were finally served. When we paid our bill we were thanked for our patience. The food was fine; not exceptional. read more

Mom's Kitchen in North Bend, Oregon is an old fashioned café serving enormous breakfast selections. The environment is We noticed that most of the patrons seemed to know Mom and the counterman, and the place had an atmosphere of cheer and conviviality. We were welcomed cheerfully when we walked in. Our order was taken quickly, and served quickly. I had an excellent omelet with pancakes, while my wife ordered a dish composed of hash browns wrapped around cheese, bacon, and if wanted, bell peppers and onions. We did not want the bell peppers and onions, and the counterman and Mom, who cooks in an open kitchen where she can interact with guests, immediately referred to someone sitting at the counter who always ordered his the same way. You feel like you are eating with family, and if I lived in the community, I would probably be here for breakfast or lunch on a regular basis, calories be damned! Our meals were excellent, and huge. We could easily have shared my wife's order and nothing else. As it was, we ended up packing half of her order and one of the enormous pancakes in our ice chest. We were staying in a cottage with a kitchen the next day, and the food reheated beautifully in a frying pan. We heartily give Mom's Kitchen a 5 star rating! read more

I rate them lower because they do not have a kids menu of any kind, so if I want to order breakfast for my 3 year old, I have to order him an $8 egg and pancake platter. oh, install some fans because it gets really really hot with no airflow. I've passed this restaurant many times without noticing it. I yelped for breakfast in North Bend Oregon. Up comes Mom's restaurant with excellent reviews. Now I know why. Went to eat on Saturday morning and restaurant was packed. Instead of being ignored I was greeted with a genuine smiles from staff. My wife and I found the last seats in the place. Long table in back. Waitress was on top of things with coffee and hot chocolate. We chatted for a minute and I learned the restaurant was run by the same family for 34 years. Even though I not from here I felt right at home. Waitress said "Mom" would be over to take our order. Mom is 81 years young and is the sweetest person I've met in a long time. Efficient and fun to chat with. Customers were very friendly also. Now comes the food Hash browns cooked to perfection. Bacon was excellent, eggs cooked exactly as ordered. This is one of the best places to eat breakfast at. I will continue to return on my visits to North Bend. CLEANLINESS is important to me and Mom's place passed. A hidden gem. read more
