What a great diner! We were visiting family in nearby Charleston, and they highly recommended this place for breakfast. It's pretty small and parking is tricky; no parking lot, only street parking available. We walked in and were immediately greeted. You seat yourself and menus are already on the table. Our server came over quickly and took our drink order. We ended up ordering biscuits and gravy, diced ham and scrambled eggs, and French toast. Everything was delicious! The portions are generous and prices reasonable. The ambiance inside is authentic diner. The old bar stools lined the counters surrounding the kitchen. There are tables and chairs situated along the window walls of the restaurant. The bathroom is super tiny, but this is an old building, so we expected some quirks. Staff is super friendly, helpful and attentive. We didn't see Mom as we learned she recently retired and the current chef purchased the diner. We had such a great experience we'll definitely be back! Would highly recommend.

Old School never tasted so good!!Perfect Breakfast! Service was impeccable! Had a nice quiet breakfast on a foggy Sunday morning. Had the Denver Omelette and loved it. Chef did a great job. Hidden Gem so worth trying

Huge portions and good food, great value for sure. Friendly staff as well. It is a small space so more challenging for larger families but they have one table that can seat 6, and they have smaller tables and bar seating.

What a great little cafe with home cooking that's delicious! We had the French toast, German sausage (wurst), and biscuits and gravy and it was all very good. The staff is super friendly and inviting. Highly recommend Moms Kitchen!

Breakfast the way mom used to make it! Big portions and simple ingredients, go for the O'Brians hash browns since they have the onions and green peppers you know you want. Waffles are light yet crispy, the service by Amber quick and spot on (I couldn't keep up with her coffee refills.) Careful, the hot chocolate comes with a pile of whipped cream and sprinkles. Nice touch which embarrasses teens.

So good. They were packed and only looked like one cook. But worth the wait 100%. The hotcakes, huge!! Omelette I got was exactly what I was looking for. Will go back every time we're in the area. Thanks mom! They saw we had our son with us so she brought over some coloring tools to keep him occupied for a while. Great service and great food. 10/10

Country Breakfast [North Bend OR] Very tiny diner in North Bend that seems to be popular among the locals. The building is so small that you might miss it if you blink. It is located on the corner of Sherman and Florida Avenues. There are 2- and up to 4-seater tables as well as counter top seating. It was a full house when we walked inside and the only available seating was at the counter top until the table behind us opened up then we moved to it. From where we were seated we could see/watch the cook prepare the meals. They offer breakfast classics and lunch favorites like burgers and sandwiches. I ordered a Country Fried Steak. It came with two eggs, hashbrowns (or pancake) and toast. Very plentiful but too generous on the gravy and it almost overwhelmed the entire meal. I like my hashbrowns a bit crunchy but with all the gravy it wasn't too enjoyable. On the other hand, my hubby loved his breakfast with two eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. The servers (two ladies) were nice and helpful. My hubby's coffee cup was constantly refilled and they keep checking on our food to see if it was ready to be served. If we're ever back on this part of Oregon I'd like to try their Country Omelet. Side street parking and some space in the private parking lot. Get there early. Review #3242

A couple weeks ago this restaurant was about to close, But decided to stay open for my friend and I. Food was excellent my friend loves mashed potatoes with gravy. The team made the two of us feel welcome in a mom and pops way. Service was without grumbling or complaint. Atmosphere was even open to a local patron.

Hashbrowns o'brien - potatoes, peppers, and onions. Gooey in the middle and crispy on the outside!

Old school diner, with service and prices to match! I was passing through on a weekend road trip in Western OR and stopped here for breakfast. It's a small place (probably about eight 2-top tables and 8 more seats at the counter) and was packed almost the whole time I was there. One diligent server took care of all of us, with 2 others in the kitchen. It was good, quick service. I got the hashbrowns o'brien... which are shredded hashbrown potatoes with diced peppers and onions, fried up on the griddle and topped with cheese (I got cheddar). It was the perfect combination of gooey in the middle and crispy on the outside and edges. And did I mention it's huge?! I am a big eater, especially when hiking and exploring on a road trip, but even I left about a third of it behind. I am looking at the picture of it again while writing this review a few weeks late, and my mouth is literally watering.

My friend and I were passing through and looked for a good local place. This was definitely a great choice. The service was terrific and food excellent. I got a veggie scramble with a side of 1 pancake. The eggs were excellent and the pancake was large, thick and fluffy. My friend had the sausage biscuit, which he enjoyed. Highly recommend it to everyone. 1603 Sherman Ave, North Bend, OR 97459

We were seated right away and our waitress gave us window seating so we could have a river view. I told the waitress it was my daughters birthday, hoping they would do something special for her later. We ordered a few drinks and made our food order. It took about 20 minutes before we were served. I ordered the burger and fries. My hubby ordered the fish and chips and my daughter ordered the mac N cheese. Everything looked good, however, my fries were lacking warmth and my burger bun was stale. It was not soft and fresh. I ended up not eating the bun, but just the burger itself. My daughters mac N cheese wasn't as great as she expected either. It was bland and dry. Yes, it had cheese, but it was stringy and not creamy. My husband loved his fish and chips. Hot and fresh and looked amazing. I did have a bite and it did taste really good. Note taken: Do NOT order anything but the fish and chips. When we were finished a new waitress gave us our receipt and asked if we needed anything else. I wanted to tell her we needed more water, but we were ready to go. I wish they would have filled up the carafe of water "before" I was about to leave. And..on top of that...no birthday surprise for my daughter. Some places sing a song or give a small dessert. But nope...not here. Oh well...I think I'll skip this place for any kind birthday celebrations.

It is located in an older building right on the main highway just as it gets into town. It has a lot of promise. Service was friendly, and the coffee quality was good (I had an oat milk latte extra-hot, which was prepared well). I'm taking a few stars off for two reasons, though. The first is the food quality. I had an order of Avocado Toast, which was uninspiring. It was just a single piece of bread, with some avocado spread (I doubt it was from a fresh avocado) sort of slapped on. I didn't taste much in the way of salt, pepper, or other seasonings. If they aren't going to stock whole avocados, I'd suggest they take the avocado toast off the menu. The second reason for taking a few stars off, though, is the the atmosphere. There are religious materials for sale (meh), and I suspect that helped attract a crowd of people that, frankly, I'd rather not be around. The tables on both sides of us were talking about the glory of Elon Musk, forcibly deporting people, etc. Obviously a coffee shop isn't responsible for the obnoxious beliefs and conversations of their patrons, though I suspect that they attract that crowd through the religious materials they sell.

Spacious cafe with friendly staff. Couches, stuffed chairs,…read moremeeting room in back for large gatherings. Welcoming Christian vibe and soft music. Board games available. Why not a 5? Unfortunately the coffee itself isn't up to par. If you add flavors no problem. If you like your coffee black you may detect a sour off putting taste. Just go with the mocha. Overall I do recommend Kaffe 101.
