When I visit my nephews, I hit Yelp and put together a food outing! This time we started our lunch at MOMO Kitchen. It's located in a pretty cool area that seemed to have a few food options. The place feels new and really clean and bright. Gentleman working the counter was friendly and professional. You order at the counter and they bring the food to the table. There were four of us, so we ordered 4 sets of momos. They come 8 to an order, so we were able to get 2 each of the following: steamed, pan fried, fried, and Manchurian. We had chicken for the filling in all of them and got the "medium" sesame sauce. We can all handle "medium" and possibly could have handled a bit more, that said the sauce was flavorful. The momos themselves are delicious, hard to pick a favorite because all of the textures were outstanding. The Manchurian sauce was a nice pop of flavor. We would gladly return! read more

Dumplings are the star on this restaurant. We had both chicken and vegetable: both very close to perfection. Medium spicy sauce was good. Only downside in terms of good were the extruded fries: though they had spices on them, they just weren't good and served cool. The place has a modern, minimalist feel. Price seemed high for what we got: 8 dumplings, fries and 2 drinks for $20. The location in the new development near ODU is awkward to get to. Hope business does good. read more

This place holds a special Place in my heart. They catered my child's 10th birthday 4 years ago and friends still talk about the food. The owner and staff are so kind and amazing. Very easy to work with and explained the menu to a T. The new location in Norfolk is a bit of a hike for me but when I'm in the area, got to stop in! Very yummy!! Ordered takeout on my way home the other night. Never had Momo before but I love all dumplings, so I was not surprised at how much I enjoyed them. The cilantro dipping sauce elevated them even more, and I enjoyed it enough to dip my fries in it. Will definitely be returning to try the other menu items, specifically the curry! read more

Amazing food. The Nepali dishes were flavorful, authentic, and tasted very fresh. Everything came out hot and well prepared, and you could tell there was a lot of care put into the food. My first time here. It was a cold brisk Sunday and I wanted to find food that was both comforting and tasty. I discovered MOMO Kitchen. The restaurant serves casual dining style. You order at a register, and then they bring you your food. I didn't want to eat heavy food so Momo's kitchen met my expectations. I found the food to be very tasty. What I love the most is just having something different to American food. I mean no offense but I didn't grow up here so it's a lot of meat heavy/fast food and so unhealthy whether it's $$$$ or $. I thought this area would be more varied when I moved here but it's not and so this is nice. It's casual and I think most of the menu can be vegan or vegetarian. Not forced to watch sports or endure too loud music. And there's a bar with Nepali beer! read more

It's family owned and all their food is fresh, never frozen. We ordered the chili dumplings and the chicken over rice and we loved both of them. So so so delicious, very cute and clean in the inside. The mango lassi was amazing and I loved the chicken fried momo!

The service is absolutely amazing, the food is splendid, and they have a nice atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. We were regulars before they moved locations, and after a while, they've reestablished themselves bettter than ever. Everything I've gotten from Momo's has been a hit, every time. The Momo Soup is my personal favorite, but some good steamed Momos always hit the spot, and their cilantro sauce is heavenly. Would give a 6 star review if I could. read more
