    Trivia night at Molly's Pub

Great bartenders and the best trivia in Houston! Trivia by Bob every Wednesday night at 7 o'clock. Free to play with a chance to win one of many $10 bar tabs.

I arrived here for an after work get together and boy it was a drab. The place is dark and gives off an errie feeling. Oh well, since I came to have a few beers I just continued with my gathering. The service was good but it didn't seem like there was a happy hour going on, unless I missed it LOL. The bar is in the corner of a shopping center which can be easily missed. There is a smell of cigarette smoke and mold as soon as you walk in. I felt like I needed a mask with a straw just to drink something. The restrooms were also very cramped. I just do not really know what else to say but Mehhhh.

Great little neighborhood bar with very nice bartenders. There definitely is a group of regulars who call this dive bar home :) Have only been here a handful of times. The staff, as well as, the customers have always been very nice and sociable. There is a 2-man band called JustUs that play here pretty regularly. You should try to catch them sometime on a Friday night. Otherwise, there is a jukebox that everyone takes care of ;) I don't think there is much of a food menu aside from microwaved pizzas. I've never personally tried to eat here but I saw a few pizzas at surrounding tables.

Friendly dive bar with some great dart boards. They do not serve food but you can get it from next door. Will come back to play darts.

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.

I called back again to make sure there wasn't a minimum or anything, and they confirmed my reservation. When I showed up on game day, I walked into the full bar that clearly had no tables and went up to a man with a Decoy shirt on who said they don't do reservations. I told him I had just spoken to someone yesterday, and he "you have wrong information, there's no way we can do reservations with this many people - you probably called the corporate office (it's the number listed on their website so that made no sense)" and was very dismissive of me and not apologetic whatsoever. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Had to take my three nieces elsewhere at the last minute and don't imagine I'll be returning after that experience.

Tiny bathrooms- can't get in and out without touching something. Our waitress was a few weeks in and tried her best. The fountain drinks were absolutely disgusting and needed to be recalibrated. I settled with the only bottled soft drink available to be safe, a root beer with 79 grams of sugar! The Bakers Special pizza was a greasy and sloppy mess and instantly fell apart just by looking at it. It had mondo chunks of meat that didn't pair well with the sauce. My husband recommended this place from his visit a few years ago but it clearly went downhill. It's an old dilapidated mess. Cushion chairs were 20+ years old with sticky stains and butt intentions on them. It was giving biker bar and made me very uncomfortable. I was afraid I'd get sick just being in the environment. The patrons were old, obnoxious perverts. Someone even brought their dog in there (not a service dog). I couldn't overlook it's condition and the food wasn't any better. There are definitely way better options on Westheimer. EEEEYUCK!

She started putting chairs on top of tables. That was long ago. Today, the place is dirty and dusty. Little gnats fly around trying to get into your drink. Pizza is either undercooked or too charred. On this occasion, undercooked and just gross. Expensive too. The last few times I've been, it was burnt. Maybe there's something wrong with their oven. Rough crowd too. Their clientele has gotten way worse. Don't think I'll ever go back.

I love Texas BBQ so I've been to all the Austin, Dallas, and Houston spots especially on Texas Monthly. Brisket was dry, chicken was brined for a little too long and gave a tire texture. Potato salad was too wet, too fatty, and didn't provide the acidity to contrast the fat. The sausage was decent, I give 4/5 stars. It was thick, juicy, and was similar to other places such as Truth, Corkscrew, Terry Black's, etc. The elotes was also too acidic for my liking and the cheese on top didn't mix well with the dish. Finally, the brisket was just ok. I must've gotten a lean piece because it had the texture of chicken thighs. The bark wasn't flavorful or smoky. Barbecue sauce was what I expected.
