This was my first time trying Molly Tea and I really tried to go in without any bias because of the hype. This is truly an honest review and I'm not lowering my score because of the hype. There was a short line however it moved very fast. I ordered: 1. Jasmine Milk tea with boba: I feel like I have to break this review down into two parts because both were on different spectrums. for the Tea: this was excellent. The jasmine flavor was perfect with high quality jasmine tea flavor. The tea was smooth and perfectly sweetened. The initial drink was definitely lived up to the hype. HOWEVER: Boba: ABSOUTELY DISGUSTING. This was by far the worst boba I've ever had. It was mushy and all stuck together like a clump of snot. The boba was totally overcooked and literally stuck into one big piece. I never sucked up individual bobas through the straw and instead it came up stuck together and came all at once. It was worse than the instant boba you can buy in stores and make yourself. Some people may argue that "this is a tea shop not a boba shop" well it's on the menu and I ordered it so they're responsible for the quality of everything on their menu. My friends told me that "in China, they actually serve boba with it and this shop went rogue and is selling it." Again, if it's on the menu, it's fair game to factor in to their review. Overall, the tea is excellent but don't get it with boba. The boba is complete trash and a disgrace to boba. Moreover, if I'm just paying for milk tea, it's not worth $7+.
Steven was super nice and gave me both Thai tea drinks to try when I was confused that there are in fact 2 different drinks. The dual creme with biscoff is thicker and sweeter, more my taste. Loved them both though and grateful I got to try both!
I really enjoyed Molly Tea because their outcome is predictable and good. The line fluctuates even on times we didn't think it would be busy. Inside is a little tight but it's still nice to sit if you need to.

Tea flavor was very strong which I appreciated. Ambience was nice and there are a few seats along the wall. Definitely will be back to try some of the other options.
Food (4/5): Got the peach jasmine oolong milk tea with boba. Not the best combo but still quite good. Service (5/5): Came out fast despite the place being quite busy. Ambiance (5/5): Nice bubble teashop ambiance. Quick pick up and nice lighting and music.
I was walking around downtown Palo Alto when I noticed the long line and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Matcha Salted Cheese and it was easily one of the best matcha drinks I had. The cafe is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing which made the experience even better. Service was okay since ordering is done through the self service kiosk so there wasn't much interaction with the staff. I'd definitely come back for the matcha.

Anyway, there wasn't a line for their two kiosks in front, so I decided to order something since I already made the effort to get there. I ordered the jasmine mango coconut tea with cream. It was weird: floral, chunky, and bitter. Maybe if I stuck to what they apparently do best (jasmine milk tea, from the reviews), but this drink wasn't it. At almost $9 including tax, it was a letdown.
Molly tea always makes high quality-TEA :) This time I got the matcha cheese boba ($7-8ish). So yummy! Ordering process is super efficient - just use the tablet and they call your number out. There are a few seats inside.
It's good but overhyped. There's always a long line here and it's packed. I had such high expectations, and it's just that they were not met. I ordered the camellia zest and I liked the combination of fruity and floral. It was milky as well. Service was fine. There's not much seating inside.
Molly Tea for the win in downtown Palo Alto. The jasmine whipped cream was very yummy as usual and the salted jasmine was very good. The salted pecans are also nice! I really enjoyed the staff members too as they were all very nice.

Orders on the kiosk, drinks probably took about ten minutes to get made. The inside has no seating. The highlight was the apple milk tea, it was very refreshing and creamy. The jasmine latte was also good but slightly preferred the apple milk tea.
I used to be a huge Molly Tea fan but it tastes like they've changed since it opening so many locations in the south bay. The tea used to be stronger and more fragrant. Oookay so I finally got around to trying Molly Tea and I gotta say I don't understand the hype. Got the Snowy Jasmine and it was good, but incredibly basic. I know people who can basically ONLY drink Molly Tea so I was expecting the best, most transcendent experience. Yet if you were to put this drink in a lineup with jasmine tea from all of the other boba chains I wouldn't be able to pick it out. Again, it was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Any other jasmine tea tastes the same. I'd give it a 2.5 (rounded to 3) because it was still a decent tea if you want to get jasmine, but the bar isn't high. Also, the service was very good and fast and the workers were very friendly. I was just disappointed because I feel like I could get a tea that tastes like this anywhere. Very small space inside. There's technically seating, but it's very minimal and not the greatest place to socialize. It's more like an area to temporarily chill while you are waiting for your drinks. read more

We got the Snowy Jasmine, and it was very well balanced with a light floral note. The whipped cream was fresh, and the pecan pieces added the perfect salty-sweet contrast that really complements the whole drink Service was excellent. We came later in the evening and were able to find a few seats, though I'm not sure how it gets during peak hours. read more

Love Molly Tea! You must get the premium jasmine milk tea here - it sounds simple but is genuinely so good. One of the best jasmine tea flavors I've ever had. You can order there or with the qr code, and then pickup when ready. It didn't take too long, maybe around 15 minutes or so. I also love the little straw they give to drink it with - it really adds to the experience :) read more
I love Molly Tea! The teas here are very floral, fragrant, with a strong tea taste that isn't bitter. Dancong oolong is my favorite tea (especially with the Snowy jasmine-infused whipped cream topping), but Jasmine tea is a close second. Highly recommend for tea enthusiasts! One thing to note is there are toppings like sago or popping boba, but there isn't normal boba available. read more

Really liked the Molly Tea in San Mateo so I wanted to visit the Palo Alto location as well. This one is nice as there is some seating inside compared to San Mateo. There was only 1-2 people today (Friday) around 12pm, so drinks were ready within 5 minutes. You can order at the two kiosks, or there was a QR code to scan as well to order. As expected, the premium jasmine milk tea with regular (70%) sweetness is great. I opted for sago as a topping and it didn't really taste like much, but was good. I wish they let you have honey boba but it was not selectable as an add-on. I also tried the tongmu lapsang milk tea, which may be my new favorite. As it is made with black tea, it tastes similar to a Hong Kong milk tea, but it doesn't have the overly sweet taste of condensed milk. It tasted very refreshing. read more
Block coffee was hyped all over social media so I had to try it. I got a strawberry latte I believe but it taste like strawberry milk. I was not a fan. I barely tasted the matcha and it was more milk than matcha. It does take one bad drink to determine whether or not I'd come back but this was not it. The workers are very nice though read more
Fan of Molly tea since they opened in San Mateo, and was excited to see there was one in Palo Alto after a dinner. Was able to easily order online for a quick 10 min pick-up. Was able to find parking easily on a rainy evening at 830p, but I can imagine it being tricky during peak hours. Loved the high quality insulated bag that my drinks came in, and staff were nice. The space was clean, but not as spacious as the Sunnyvale location. And, of course, the drinks were perfect. I appreciated the separation of the drink, cream, and pistachio topping, a sign of the intentionality that is expected from a Molly Tea. read more
This is the third Molly tea in the bar area . The originally one is in Mountain View with a tiny parking lot . Their teas taste excellent. I love the matcha version or just plain Jasmine tea with toppings or other flavors. They brew the tea with top quality tea leaves and are very rich in flavor . The store inside Mountain have beautiful seatings and indoor decor but no parking or very tight parking spots outside . This one in Palo Alto has huge parking structure near by and is free . The store is tiny and only a few chairs to sit and wait for the drinks . Either one have great tasting drinks and I love to go to Molly Tea ! read more
Recently opened right on University Ave! The seating area is pretty small and tight, so it's not the best spot if you're trying to work for a few hours. It feels more compact compared to their other locations, but the tea tastes just as perfect as the Sunnyvale one. I first discovered this unique jasmine tea at the Sunnyvale location and was so excited to find out there's a closer one near me. Came here right away! 10/10!! Came by for their grand opening on Sunday a couple weeks ago around 7:15pm and was pleasantly surprised to see that there were only a few other people in line! Found street parking a few blocks away and walked over. Decided to order the Premium Jasmine Matcha and the White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea with recommended ice and sweetness levels. Only had to wait about 5 minutes before my order was ready! The floral notes from the jasmine really come through in the Jasmine Matcha, and the White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea was also really enjoyable and had a strong tea flavor. Don't think I am well versed enough in teas to be able to describe them in greater detail, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of their drinks! Would definitely be back read more
Today is the opening day for palo alto's molly tea!! Surprisingly the line was really quick even though the line was long. They had attendants walking around taking orders and keeping the line in check. There's also a free tasting cart out front for their jasmine milk tea! The first 150 customers get a free magnet relayed to your MBTI. If you leave a review, you get a free car fresher!! The drinks itself are so fragrant and i love the taste of the tea. Drink 4.5/5 I enjoyed almost all of their drinks here, especially if you're someone who like floral and creamy milk tea. My go-to is anything with jasmine milk tea and the salted cheese series. I would say they're on the more expensive side as a drink is usually $7 with no toppings. Service 5/5 Service is definitely top notch here and you can tell that they've been trained to uphold quality and customer service. Ambiance 5/5 I love all the bright and colorful wall and lighting they have. I've tried molly tea in south bay before and wanted to try something different when I visit I fed this past weekend with my friend. Right when we arrived, there was a small line but it went by super quick, because there are two kiosks inside and the entry is try narrow, so the line extended outside. I ordered the Matcha Jasmine Salted Cheese with light sweetness and honey boba, and this was such a delicious drink! I thoroughly enjoyed my drink and the boba was on the softer side. My boyfriend really liked his pistachio jasmine coconut drink with no sweetness. His favorite part is the pistachio cream. read more
Glad I came when it was raining so the line wasn't long. Didn't think the tea was very good. The pistachio flavor was terrible. There also wasn't much cheese cream on it. I got a cold and hot drink and the hot drink was closed with a seal so it was hard to drink. There also wasn't many chairs to sit and they were very hard wood. Molly Tea Palo Alto is overall just okay--a pretty standard boba chain spot. Nothing particularly impressive, but also not bad. The shop itself is clean and simple, a decent place to grab a drink to-go or sit briefly. The drinks feel consistent, like what you'd expect from a chain--no big surprises. Tried the jasmine milk tea, which is one of their signature items. The jasmine tea base is actually pretty nice--light, clean aroma, and not overly artificial. There's a subtle floral note with a bit of a refreshing aftertaste. The milk side is fairly average, blending smoothly but not really standing out. Sweetness and texture are right around what you'd expect--easy to drink, but nothing especially memorable. Overall, it's the kind of place you'd stop by if you're nearby and want something light and refreshing, but probably not somewhere you'd go out of your way for. read more

Ordered pick up on door dash at 12:10p ish and drinks were ready in less than 10 minutes. Definitely better than ordering in person and waiting over 20 mins. Drinks are always good, I love the jasmine floral taste. Storefront is small and can get packed. read more

As I walked by, I couldn't help but notice this brand new, aesthetic boba shop in downtown Palo Alto. I ordered a jasmine green tea with crystal boba (unfortunately, there was no option for honey boba, hence a star docked). This place is not your regular boba tea shop, as it specializes in the quality of the tea, and it didn't disappoint! The tea flavor was rich, silky, and floral, while still having a strong taste. If you're into strong, high quality tea, you should try it! read more
